Tortilla Flat is an authentic remnant of an old west town, nestled in the midst of the Tonto National Forest, in the Superstition Mountain Range. Tortilla Flat started out as a stagecoach stop in 1904 and neither fire nor flood has been able to take away this historic stop along the Historic Apache Trail.
Mosey on down the boardwalk and visit the Superstition Saloon and Restaurant. Real saddles serve as bar stools where you can enjoy a cold brew or sarsaparilla. The unique wallpaper is made from real dollar bills from visitors all around the world. Our Restaurant serves the freshest burgers, hottest chili and the coldest drinks everyday. After you have had time to walk off the great food, stop in our Country Store and enjoy a scoop of our World Famous Prickly Pear Gelato or pick up some item for the road, but before you go, visit our Mercantile/Gift Shop full of amazing treasures including Indian Pottery, Jewelry, Unique Tortilla Flat Apparel and many more unique items.

Oh and by the way… You may have noticed in many places it says “Population 6″… it is not a joke.

Great road for motorcycles. Reminds me of my younger years.
I've ridden my Road King on that road many times 😎☀️🌵
I'm not familiar with the Road King. I was thinking of a 1 or 2 cylinder bike with 400-650CC's under the gas tank. My last bike was a 1977 650 twin Yamaha. Even it's 475 pound weight was at the upper limit of the desirable weight range of a sport bike. Sold the bike around 25 years ago.
@Paul Turner that's awesome! My first bike was an '82 Yamaha Virago 750
@@smalltowntourist, That was the bike that had a Harley style engine as I recall. What is your understanding about the engine life/reliability on these 750/920 Yamaha's? I understood that the 650 Yamaha twin had a 100,000 miles engine expectancy in a well cared for engine. Only BMW's survive as long/longer before needing a rebuilt engine.
@Paul Turner I know those older Yamaha's are well sought after because they ran/run forever
I literally laughed out loud when after saying we'd be in the ICU for 2-3 days if bit by a rattle snake, he throws his hands up and exclaims "But this place is incredible" 🤣🤣
That's funny! I rewatched that part just now. I'm a bit of a goofball 🤣☀️🌵
I REALLY want to visit this place!!! Maybe even move there. Thanks for sharing!,
If you live there, you're required to work there. Crazy! ☀️🌵
Back in my day though, Tortilla Flats was where you went to party out in the boondocks, the parties were call boondockers (I don't think there was anything but maybe an old shack there in the 70's) Riding with you via internet, I felt like I was home again, heading out to Canyon Lake. I could actually feel the heat...maybe that's because as I watch this it's 100 degrees outside as I now live in New Mexico. But it brought back memories, 10 of us riding in the back of a pick-up in the 70's. No sunscreen, just lots of babyoil, to get a nice tan. Oh, and "Storm" season is actually called "The monsoon" season, one of my favorite times of the year in the Southwest.
There's nothing like a good monsoon! 😎☀️🌵
Thank you ❤
My pleasure ☀️🌵
We are moving to AZ soon. After watching your video on Tortilla Flats we will definitely do a day trip to check it out. Thank you!
My pleasure! Arizona is such a beautiful state and worth exploring. Tortilla Flat has great food and its relatively close and easy to get to. Thank you for your comment 👍
It's a great ride, if you have time, on the way out at Canyon Lake, they have the Dolly, a tour boat, also a nice stop.
Yes, and there's a good chance you'll see the Arizona big horn sheep and Bald Eagles 👍
Thank you. I’ll be interested to see what you share in the future.
There's a lot of great small towns in Arizona I'll be visiting. Stay tuned 😉
Thanks a lot for this video, I hope you can give us another nice video from AJ. Congratulations
I love Apache Junction. I'd like to do a video on the Superstitions sometime ☀️🌵
Just discovered your channel. Excellent stuff. I love how you show the actual drive.
Thanks! I appreciate your kind comments. More videos coming! ☀️🌵
The actual area originally called Tortilla Flat is now under Canyon Lake where Tortilla Creek runs into it.
Are you saying there's a town or maybe even a trading post under water after Canyon Lake was created? If so, that's extremely interesting. ☀️🌵
Wow population 6 now that's a small town 🤠
Thanks for the comments! Subbed back ☀️🌵
@@smalltowntourist Thank you so much I am an Arizona native I have lived here my entire life and I absolutely love this great state of ARIZONA 🌄🤠👍👋
New sub ! Liked 🙏👏👍
Thank you! My next video is coming soon, stay tuned 😉 😎
Hello! This is Jeremie and I work with Tortilla Flat. We would love to share your movie on social media. We would make sure to brag about and link to your channel. What do you think?
That would be awesome! Thank you!
@@smalltowntourist Thanks! We'll be running it on our Facebook page on 9-9

@@smalltowntourist That's us :)
I named my boxer 2.4 Tortilla
Enjoyed very much think I am going to take a trip that way.
It's a wonderful little town and worth the drive! Thanks for sharing ☀️🌵
If the population is 6, why does the restaurant have so many seats?
Excellent question! Tortilla Flat is a popular destination for people from other Arizona cities. Every day, hundreds of people make the journey up the scenic Apache Trail and dine at Tortilla Flat. ☀️🌵
There are only 6 full-time residents.
TRAVELED THE HIGHWAY TO HELL HIGHWAY 88
One the most spectacular roads in Arizona ☀️🌵
