- Sundresses are always my favorite! This week, I'm showing you how I assemble the pattern I made for Minifee and other slim minis so you can dress your doll for summer. It's just now getting hot here, so it's perfect timing!
The pattern is designed with a wider than usual back--this means that, depending on snap or Velcro placement, it can fit a wide variety of bust sizes and some minis with a less slender waist.

This reminds me of sewing summer clothes for my girls when they were little!!!

Your dolls have better clothing than me! LOL! I always cut corners to avoid doing linings and buttons and zippers.
I don't blame you! Finishing with closures is my least favorite part, I admit that's why I'm a huge fan of Velcro LOL Quick zigzag down either side to stick it on...

nice tutorial, but I have to ask: does this dress open on the doll's back or have any zipper or button?
It's made to be closed with a button, snap, or Velcro, depending on your preference when you make it.

Do you sew clothes for your little girl??
Sometimes, mostly costumes. She doesn't like dresses much, so it's hard to find stuff she'll let me make for her! But I draft patterns and sew things for her for Halloween and school events/activities. Her chief complaint with dresses is they get in the way when she's playing, so maybe when she's a bit less active!
