Hey Josh! I have made the exact same way my press, but it came to my head, that when you put in the wood it changes the concave, so actually the sides of the deck will touch first... I was wondering if the quality of the final product was satisfactory? I dont know if i should do a new upper half with the concave corrected by layering up some kind of foam on the selected half and then pouring concrete again. Thanks

what kind of cement did you use?
yeah take the pins out and lower the mold, usually have a friend help. the 1x4 glued and screwed.
