The Damage of the Energy Cannons vs Projectiles seem to be the difference and there is also the possibility that the Avatar Class Battlecruisers got built-in self-repair abilities.
@@Shipprofile08 a direct approach? If multiple MCVs hit the hull of an enemy ship, I think that's a very direct approach...however, it is probably more likely to be seen as a kind of act of desperation - at least if or when the MCVs are to be manned. 😁
They can definitely be used as a direct approch with the right stratagy. I tend to see them more as ambushers hiding in an asteroid field or for stealth operations for gathering info that is too dangerous for recons to carry out instead of building large numbers of them and run them into enemies lol
You know what? The successful Mechwarrior/Battletech games and universe has a complete lack of anything space related. You would gain a whole new following of fans if there was a mod of Battletech ships and planets.
I wish there were more mods for Homeworld Catalysm. It's a crying shame it didn't get remastered.

Yeay you might be right about that. I'm planning to revisit that fight with some of my own modifications shorlty
The Somtaaw strength also lies more with the MCV.
I honestly never really use the MCV. Its a cool ship but I tend to take a dircet approch
