Your enthusiasm always makes me smile! How wonderful that the creator was able to customize your order… and even more wonderful that he gifted you with that humongous tin of yellow, and the little sketchbook too. Thanks for this unusual unboxing video!
Hi - great that you were so happy and excited! I use a $tree dri erase board, a clip-on water container like yours (only dual,) and two $tree headbands, (the flat, narrow, stretchy ones,) across the width of the board to hold my sketchbook. Clip on magnets from $tree hold my metal paint box. (One or two, depending on the size of the box I'm using that day.) It all works great! Just some ideas in case, like me, your budget requires something less expensive. For clips, I like those industrial looking ones from building supply type stores; they really hold well. Enjoy your new bag and board, etc.! 😊
That's awesome!! Thank you so much for putting those ideas and references for everyone in here. I may try that for the smaller size instead of springing for another one lol!
Oh good! Your various paint pens could be such a cool option for plein air without a ton of fuss. I will love to see what you create no matter what you use! And happy bday!
What a lovely and simple sketching set up! When I can afford I will for sure go to this seller and order a bag and sketch board. First, for now I am trying out the idea in a homemade mock up made sturdy cardboard, a glued on magnet sheet from a cut up weekly planner and a pen loop, just to test the idea. I have , in my days, bought far too many clever solutions that lies in a box right now and are never used so I wanted to be sure this was something I would use before making an order for "the real thing". I have to say it works superbly. So I will probably order a proper one for myself soon, that will look nicer and last longer than my home made test board.! So thank you for this video! How nice of the seller to send you a sketchbook and paints too!

You showed the Grand Portrait size in an art haul a while back and would love to see a review and how you liked it? I've been considering purchasing it, but it is $30.00
I haven’t started it yet! I usually have 2 going at once and right now it’s an A5 of that same sketchbook. The paper is not the best for wet media, but it’s very low pressure which is why I love it. This is my fourth or fifth sketchbook of this kind that I’m in right now! I don’t know how I will feel about the size. I think it’s more of a novelty and that the square size would be my favorite, with the A5 in second. But that’s a guess since I haven’t started the big one yet!! I’ll keep you posted!
I’ve been enjoying it! My sole issues so far several months out is that I wish the bag had a strap option, and that the magnets were a bit more robust (they hold the palette in place fine but they aren’t strong enough for the set up to be seriously jostled or upside down). I have added a sturdy carabeaner and clip it to my camelback when I hike, which has made a strap less necessary. I am enjoying enough that I am considering getting the smaller version for myself for my bday!
@@CreatingCuteArt oh thank you for this feedback! I’m planning to get too! What size is the one the video and what size are you planning to get? Does it also work with soft covered sketchbooks?
Loved seeing this cool setup and have subscribed to your channel. I was curious about that thin palette you showed briefly, I think you called it Regina’s palette.? Where did you get it? Loved the video and your excitement.
It is indeed Regina’s Watercolors! She makes a beautiful glass palette that’s a pleasure to mix on. She has a website and she’s on Instagram, too! Both just reginaswatercolor (@ and .com).
@@CreatingCuteArt it's called Stablo. Was going to share it some vids with you, but don't know how to on RUclips. Put "Stablo" in the RUclips search. I'll be curious what you think.

Just want to say for anyone reading these comments - the 'case' is a generic Molle bag and you can get them for about $6 AUD online. I made my own board and bought the bag and the whole thing cost under $10 AUD

Your timing is uncanny, I have two partially filmed videos and the in use review of this set up is one of them! That means it will be posted either be this Sunday or next Sunday, so stay tuned! The little painting of Tuffy I posted yesterday to the community tab was made using this set up and will be in the vid, so you can treat that as a preview! 🤗🤗🤗
@@CreatingCuteArt looking forward to it. Thanks. That's one thing I tell all my viewers on my channel. If a RUclipsr wouldn't pay for it why should you. Never buy any product a RUclipsr got for free based on that youtubers paid for opinion. They always claim they weren't paid for the review but they were. We were paid the price of the free product. And we all know a bad review means other companies will stop sending free crap. If that happens then we lose revenue from the video, the ads, the resale of the product we claim to gift to needy. It'll just be a while need lol; and if you don't see the RUclipsr using the product after the review it isn't any good. They are merely doing the video it for the money and because monkey see, monkey do. Artists used to be so damn creative. We would not be caught dead buying crap. We made our own. That was half the fun. Getting together with others to see what they created and ingeneis ways they've tackled the same artist problems we all have. I like the look of this set up so I'd love to see it in action. I love used to love Molly and Alice bags. They've become a bit too popular for my liking atm, but in this set up, what a groovy way of using it. Add a carabiner and you don't even have to carry it. Just clip to a belt loop and be on your way. Too cool. Are you still happy with this little set up? I could imagine it would get real old real quick with it not seating deeply in the sketchbook. How many times, if any, did it pop out?
the bag is badly finished and the plein air set up looks cheap and nasty. im sorry but thats what im seeing. the setup itself could be mad with a piece of hardboard and would look a lot better and wouldnt cost as much.
i saw it some time ago and thought that it was a clever idea, but I didn’t like the setup and the finish. I made it out of 2mm plexiglass (super easy to clean since water won’t damage it), it was a little challenging to cut but it fits my needs in terms of size and organization. I’m still trying to figure out how to make a pen/brush holder to attach on the side. At the moment I’m using a Kaweco tin case but it’s a little too short to accommodate everything. About the bag I really don’t like military/hunting stuff, I found the perfect bag for my needs that is a small Eastpack laptop bag, usually it’s on the expensive side but on Amazon the pice drops pretti dramatically from time to time. It also has that loop thing meant to attach it to a trolley handle that fits perfectly my micro foldable camping stool. Besides all this features it’s low profile, very comfortable and works well also as an office bag

Looking on his Etsy shop now, looks great!
It is awesome, and I'm planning to get the smaller one, too!
Hi! I love your enthusiasm in this video. I'd like to know your thoughts when using it plein air painting and while on your lap? Does it hold well? :)
@@pekingduck15 I got the A5 size, and I'm thinking about the little baby square size (the smallest one)!
I feel as though this is a copy of the Stablo easel.
I've never seen that one! If you send the name I'll Google it, I'd love to see what it's like 👍😊
@@CreatingCuteArt it's called Stablo. Was going to share it some vids with you, but don't know how to on RUclips. Put "Stablo" in the RUclips search. I'll be curious what you think.
Oh I’m always on the search for a great plein air kit, I was hoping this one wouldn’t be so great! I am loving this!! BTW how long did it take for shipping?
I believe it took about two weeks but I was so busy at work that I tried not to check too often 🤣😂!! I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
What are all the outside straps for.
I use them connected to make an arm strap! I think others use them with caribeaners (sp?) to clip extras to!
Just want to say for anyone reading these comments - the 'case' is a generic Molle bag and you can get them for about $6 AUD online. I made my own board and bought the bag and the whole thing cost under $10 AUD
It’s good to be handy! Always a money saver 👍
Do they have a left handed version?
That's a good question! I didn't think about it as sort of handed but you can always message him and ask for custom changes, like having the loops and the magnets switched!
@@CreatingCuteArt thanks!
Is this the same company as JustGoSketching?
Yes!! He changed his name after I made this video, but some of his materials still say this old name.
@@CreatingCuteArt awesome. I love his stuff. I just ordered his 24 set of paints.
Where are the videos of it in use? Where are the videos of your work
Your timing is uncanny, I have two partially filmed videos and the in use review of this set up is one of them! That means it will be posted either be this Sunday or next Sunday, so stay tuned! The little painting of Tuffy I posted yesterday to the community tab was made using this set up and will be in the vid, so you can treat that as a preview! 🤗🤗🤗
@@CreatingCuteArt looking forward to it. Thanks. That's one thing I tell all my viewers on my channel. If a RUclipsr wouldn't pay for it why should you. Never buy any product a RUclipsr got for free based on that youtubers paid for opinion. They always claim they weren't paid for the review but they were. We were paid the price of the free product. And we all know a bad review means other companies will stop sending free crap. If that happens then we lose revenue from the video, the ads, the resale of the product we claim to gift to needy. It'll just be a while need lol;
and if you don't see the RUclipsr using the product after the review it isn't any good.
All this can be created with stuff that people have lying around the house. More sustainable than buying new stuff.
the bag is badly finished and the plein air set up looks cheap and nasty. im sorry but thats what im seeing. the setup itself could be mad with a piece of hardboard and would look a lot better and wouldnt cost as much.
Thanks for your thoughts! 👍
i saw it some time ago and thought that it was a clever idea, but I didn’t like the setup and the finish.
