I have found that communities based around creators tend to take their cues from the creator. If the minders are perceived as courteous and kind people it’s because you’re such a kind, thoughtful and gracious person. Thanks for everything you do for the art community. ❤

You said James Gurney and I held my breath! I love that you admire him too! He is just… not enough words… I am so happy this palette is out there for folks to buy as watching how he made it was fascinating, but not my cup of tea. You were my first RUclips watercolour artist I followed and enjoyed and still say what everyone else says, kind and generous and super funny! You have taught me an enormous amount over the many years you have been available to a grateful audience. I share your name often. Wish I could get myself out there to paint, but I don’t like mosquitos and get distracted by the birds and breeze and sounds so can’t enjoy the painting. 😂 loved listening to the music on this one and watching your process. Thank you again. Your town is beautiful!

Exactly right there what you said about being outdoors. A lot of hobbies are a good excuse (if one be needed😂) to get out there and commune with nature.. I’m a big fan of that. Whether it’s kayaking, fishing, hiking (that’s me!) or painting (me again) we can all get out and breathe in some calm. I like the looks of the easel. I did one livestream where my bicycle was my easel 😅This on a tripod would be a definite step up.👍🙏

Fun video, Steve. That does look like a nice little easel! I'm new to painting outside and have just been holding my sketchbook with one hand and drawing/painting with the other. So far it is working for me ok, but I had to get a new lightweight hunting stool with a back because I have a chair like yours and it was so hard on my back. I got a little wagon to put my supplies and chair in to pull along so I don't have to carry everything because I also have all my camera gear with me everywhere I go. I'm happy with my set up so far, but I'm sure it would make life a lot easier to get an easel for my tripod.

You know I love your videos and I've learned a lot with you, so thank you!!!
But I do miss you going outdoors to paint. I have mobility and health issues and it's difficult for me to just go out & paint whenever I want, but I think it's just a true and honest way of enjoying making art. I don't know if you agree with me, but I would love to see more plein air videos of you and the wonderful paintings you create.
Cheers from Madrid and sunny Spain!

I've been loving my Taylor Seamount easel. Thank you for sharing this great information with us, Steve. I've been contemplating purchasing an easel for a long time and made several mock-ups to use before purchasing. Your recommendation made all the difference in making my decision. Not only is it lightweight, but it is so well-made. You can tell she is an artist who seeks perfection. I had her include the acra-swiss mount and use it on my tripod. This is a versatile easel and in every way is perfect! Thank you again for your review and field test.

Hullo Steve, I have been neglecting my watercolor painting of late, I have been concentrating on soft pastels and I am getting a bit better. I have a hunger for my watercolor process and I purchased the 10 colors from M.Graham to perhaps spur me into starting a new painting! I have not done plein air in quite a while. I may just strike out and do some after the new to me paint arrives! Excellent video, wonderful painting too! Thank you. Please take care and have yourself a lovely day.

I bought your M. Graham paint set and have been loving it. I know this is not really a painting question, but I'm curious about the chair you were sitting on. It is the last piece of kit I need for my own plein air kit and would love a recommendation about a sturdy folding stool to sit on as I paint. Which one were you using in the video? Many thanks for the painting videos of the past. LOVE them. :) I'm glad to know of this gurney style easel too. It looks fabulous. :)
