I have had a 28’ Doughboy pool for 26 years now and it looks as good as when it was installed! Replaced the liner after 24 years but that’s it! Great pool!
24 years for a liner. That is incredible. Our 24ft was installed in 2012 and we replaced the liner this year. The pump was replaced last year. All hoses replaced as needed and we're on the third pressure guage. Before installing the new liner, there were a coupe of surface rust spots on the inside walls. We treated them with rust inhibiting primer and paint.
I bought my house with a Johnny Weissmuller AG pool 18x33' about 21 years ago. The pool is now about 33 years old, it still looks fairly new. Has a 60 year warranty. Best pool, especially with the Esther Williams liner, which I replaced about 3 times.
I moved into home with a massive massive pool huge long and netting goes high it came with the house such a bargain it was a nice 6 room house near my gran parents so happy with it
Can kids or adults do a cannon ball in the above ground pools? The steel frame ones. I would like to have an above ground pool with a deck but i know my kids and their friends well being doing cannon balls for hours. Can these pools handle it?
Great video. Above ground pools are nice because they are a lot cheaper than in ground pools. If you can afford it, I like the Rectangular Ultra Frame pool the best because of the durability, safety, and lifespan.
Hi , thanks for the review. do you know if the INTEX ultra frame rectangle pools can stay up all year around in North East weather ? Im looking for something rectangular that can possibly stay up all year around because the deck coming off of my house will wrap 1/2 way around it. also if i took it down then there would be a big space on my deck where there is no railing at. thanks
I live in Michigan and my Intex 24' Ultra Frame has been up year round for 5 years with no issues. Have had for 8 yrs. Put away for first 3yrs. This is so much better. Just drain below return line and winterize. Pool cover and good to go
Cheryl Taylor you empty it about less than half then winterize in the fall with pool grade antifreeze. Like for RVs witch keeps it thawed. Then in the spring/summer put your chemical in it about half what you do with a first balance. I have a salt water generator so if I would keep it up and do it that way it would be cheaper the next year. I would recommend plugging the plumbing and putting the pump up for next year.
Luckily I was able to order the 32’x16’x52in 2nd week of July and was delivered the 26th. Just completed set up yesterday evening. On to filling it up which I’m sure will take 2days at minimum. Price wasn’t too bad either shortly after I ordered I decided to compare pricing with others (dumb move for not doing it prior, I know.) and the same pool but different sellers was much higher. Price increased ranged from 1500-4000. I paid 1,999.99 before taxes and 2180 after. It came with a sand filter pump, ground mat, ladder, and the pool cover. They did have salt water filter option but I choose chlorine as I read many bad reviews on the salt water causing corrosion after a year or two.
Maybe the review was meant for low end and more affordable pools that don't last 30-50 years like a Doughboy pool. I call most of these shown here (like the Intex pools) blow up pools or temporary pools. I have had both. No comparison as most people know Doughboy has been around the longest and is considered the best. And there is no tearing down and storing. I am sure they are decent for the price. A doughboy filter alone cost more than some of these pools. Haha.
Bought an above ground pool from patio pool. Need helpl with pump after having in several years. Note one pool company will help us including patio pool. Will never purchase one from them againl
yeah, like "best above ground pools" propaganda, intex this and intex that. How many other brands are out ther besides Intex? well, alot. Intex customer support is a big 0, and the ones with metal poles were full of rust one year later, I received no warranty, had to buy a new pool. Better say best intex pools or somthing instead of this propaganda.
Intex don't stand behind product a year maybe 2 is the life of them unless you like working on the daily I've had a few just because wife likes them Lowe's had one that lasted me 5 years trouble free but it was unbranded and now they do not carry it anymore but it was thick material unlike Intex

so all you do is drain and put cover on it and it stays up all winter...live in south louisiana...once in blue moon do we get really cold winters.
Yes, just don't drain it all the way!
