    Worked well for filling up our pool. Water does run slower but works good as long as the sun is out.

    Hello- I have been looking for a review between these two brands! I am looking at much smaller pools so some of the things are very different. First, all of my smaller pools (bought the easy set, looking to get a frame pool this time) but all the clamps have been the plastic ones and not the nice metal ones. I don't mind the plastic ones. Also the pumps that come with the 10x30 pools on intex only move 330 gallons at a time. I think the 12-30 also comes with a pump that is not strong enough for the amount of water. I inherited a bigger pump and it works much better.
    That info is for anyone looking for the smaller versions and is only my experience buying the pools as well as researching.
    All of that said, I have been looking for a review between these two brands and this is the first one I have found. VERY grateful. Thank you.

    I agree with everything said in the video. I've had both.
    The Bestways cover is really a joke. I struggled to put it on each time. It disintegrated within a month.
    The 750 gph clearflow filter pump included was too weak to run even a hand help pool vacuum it failed and I couldn't get a replacement rotor. The hoses were 1.25" and each of them ruptured within a year.
    I fixed all those things by replacing them with Intex 2500 gph filter pumo running 1.5"hoses and so on.
    The worst thing is that the pool liner faded miserably. It's expensive to replace it.

    Thank you so much for this video. I have been looking into getting a pool for over a year now and this video has helped me quite a lot. I want to do tether swimming so I would have a cable holding me into position while swimming and at first I thought of going with a very small pool but both the ones you showed are big and cost effective so I might get one of these sizes instead. Depends what I can find in the UK. A question about the ground. Before laying such a big pool with loads of weight on it due to the water, is it necessary to do some kind of soil research to make sure it doesn't cave in/collapse? or is it just me being anxious for no reason?

    Hi there I have a 10 by 16 Coleman bestway above ground pool . I ordered a pool cover which was a winterizing one when I just needed just a regular summer cover,Amazon didn't want to return it since it passed the 30 day return policy. So I'm stuck with it. It's 12 x 20 & I did not know there was going to be 4inch extra that flaps over so now it's like 16×24 way to big for my 10×16 pool. My questions are is it ok to use this winter cover for covering it in the summertime? And will this cover work with how big it is or should I buy a new one right size? I used clamps and thin rope to make it fit tighter this last month I used it. . I'm goin to be taking it down since it's going to be winter.

    Thanks.... I have spent months researching pools. Your video is helpful. I am trying to get a decent sized lap pool for exercise/swimming... I have seen your other videos too. Great job A+++ My options for a lap pool is either break the bank and spend over $1.000 to $1,500 or on the cheapo side of things is get the biggest pool I can buy for under $500, less over all expense and effort to maintain. So far the most I can get on the cheap side is an 18 foot round Coleman.... It is on sale now for close to $500. What would you recommend in this case? A few months ago I saw a pool about 31 or 32 foot for $1400 on amazon rectangle shape.... What do you think for lap swimming?

    • @dalesbackyardofficial
      @dalesbackyardofficial  Год назад +1

      For lap swimming, I would get the largest you can. Intex does offer a 32x16 ft pool, but it does cost quite a bit more. Smaller pools would be difficult for lap swimming

      @vaskylark Год назад

      I agree with the previous poster. I have an inground pool (but if I sell my house I would probably buy an Intex as I've had their hottub and I liked it). I have a forty by twenty foot inground pool and doing laps is ok, but even it is not big enough. I feel like a couple strokes and I'm turning around. Go with longest lap lane you can get!

      @@vaskylark Thanks for reply. I have been swimming almost 7 days a week. Feel I am losing weight already! I ended u going with a 26 foot by 12 and 52 the Coleman . It was the biggest I could afford on a budget.... it worked out well, by the time I am swimming a lap and reach the other side, I am starting to get tired. So it worked out fine for me. This is a great channel. Appreciate all the advice and I am so very grateful. Yes if a 26 foot long is all you can afford go for it. I do agree the bigger the size of pool you can afford the better! I am happy with my purchase. In my case I feel if I would have gotten anything smaller it would have been a total waste of money for lap swimming. Daily I am doing 25 round trip laps. So far I have been able to swim 48 round trip laps ( which is my age) and I was super exhausted. talking about budget the pool cost me about $1,000 without including the cost of chemicals, or cleaning equipment.

Also another video on this pool says the plastic hose won't last more than two years can you get any good metal ones like the unbreakable hoses you have on your washing machine.

    I got a bestway from Costco 18foot with a solar heater for 400 bucks. And I have knowledge of pools so I just changed out the hoses for very cheap prices and I don’t use the cover cause I have no trees and it’s in direct sun so it stays hit enough.
    One thing I will say is you should not tie down that intex cover becuase that vinyl will rip with storms and wind. Better off with a cover with loop holes for metal wire to go through.

We did spray rust oleum on the poles etc after year 5 but we’ve had NO rust, no parts failure at all and we also have dogs who get in it with us from time to time. No matter which you get UPGRADE to a bigger sand filter than the pool calls for. 💯 we will always own a Coleman. I have had two coleman 22x52” pools. While the coleman pools did there job I opted for a intex this year and there is no comparison. From the liner, hardware to the pool bracing and legs the intex is far superior. The intex xtr models comes with a sand filter whereas the coleman comes with a small terrible pump and cartridge filter which 90 percent people upgrade. So by the time u make upgrades tho the cheaper coleman you could have purchased a intex. If you have owned both you would understand. Even the astetics of the intex are better. Like the old adage goes, you get what you pay for.

I recommend the purchse of a larger filter, it makes a big difference,,, Also, so not use sand, use cotton balls for pool filtering and they are on LY $15 AT aMAZON. sO MUCH EASIER TO DEAL WITH, NOT SAND GETS IN POOL AND THEY WORK BETTER THAN SAND. tHEY ARE REUSEABLE. I have 2 sets that I switch out 1/2 way thru season and throw the ones I removed in wash machine to get ready for the next year !
    I got mine many years ago and it was before they cqaught on and I got the 18' x 9' for $80.
