I've had my pool for long enough now to build the experience to make keeping your pool clean and clear an easy and quick job! The advice for a Bestway Pool and Intex Pool is very similar, so I combined it into this short and clear video to hopefully make it very simple for you too. Now you can avoid green water or mercy water in your pool, and even if that's happened to you, I also offer tips to fix it.

Does the filter pump have a safety feature in it , so if water leaked into the electronics of the pump does it automatically shut off ?
That is not something I have experienced and I'm also not aware of reference to that in the manual..

Got that pool coming in a few days 7ft one for my 4yr old , for anyone with kids how long after using chlorine tablets ect can they go back in the pool
Hi Andrew what I've been doing is just take the tablet out when they play in the pool, then back in after use. We didn't wait in between. It seems to dissolve fast so that way we have had no issue at all.

Hi! Well some people seem to use vinegar for that purpose but it is generally not recommended as there will be side effects that will deteriorate the quality of your pool water. It would then be better to use the hydrochloric acid. I can't recommend other effective methods as I haven't tried them.. I hope that answers the question a little at least..

I am in Australia and this was a great video! I was lucky enough to get a near new Bestway pool with filter for only $5. No instructions with it of course but worth the risk! I am just filling it now. I was also lucky enough to get a huge roll of carpet underlay of Facebook marketplace for free so that is what we have put under ours. We had an old tarp that we've put over part of ours for shade as I also live in a very hot place. And it rains so I've rigged up something for the pump to keep it off the ground and protected if it rains. But thank you so much for all this great information to get me started1

Hey MRJC! We gave the pool away after season one to make room to experience the next one. Not sure how it is doing now or what happened to it! For us it was totally fine for a season, and I would imagine quite a few more....

I'm still struggling with it bro .. although I'm using a large filter pump .. and mop the pool on a daily basis .. and using a chlorine tablets with its float .. and cleaning the filter every day .. still it's getting green water .. I'm really upset with all that efforts I'm spending still it's not clear 😥

It looks quite small and i am worried to use it much while i am in the pool. Do you use it while you are not in the pool? Or just an hour while you are in the pool? One more question; how many times do you use chlorine in a week? Mine is 5.45x 2.74 what do you suggest ?
Hi there, we use the pump overnight. Not when we are using the pool. And the same for the chlorine. We put it in a floater and leave it in all night.

Hi Tina, that's interesting and not so great. I don't remember having that issue.. but I would imagine adding the chlorine to it, to keep the water clear, should also get rid of the plastic smell!?

I wanted to ask about pool underlay. They seem to be fairly expensive Bestway sells them for 12$ a pack of 8 pieces and 3mm thickness, however, I need 9 packs for the pool I’m getting which is 4m * 4m.

Hi! Yes we always have a tablet in, also with the pump running. Except when the pool is in use, then we take it out for a while.

What size pump is that ?? I only have a 300 gal per hour and my pool is 15ft x7ft with 7000 litres and I leave it on all night and although it does look dirty it doesn't seem to be doing that much. I'm wondering if the pump is 2 small
