Listen brother, truly man, your setup is phenomenal (practically perfect) and the information you've shared, the knowledge alone supercedes 99% of ALL other (Intex-related) videos by leaps and bounds! Nice work man, and thanks again for all of your advice on the do's and don'ts! I will share what I've learned from you with other ppl who have similar pools!
I am 2 minutes into this video, and am forever grateful already for your clarity, and wanting to pass this knowledge on. My wife and I tried setting up and filling our 18 ft rectangular intex pool yesterday, with no confidence or understanding on what to do, and you made everything clear and made us feel at ease to set our pool up for our kids properly. Thank you very much brotha. Much well wishes to you
Awesome tips on Do's and Don'ts! Setting up my 16X32X52 soon and trying to get best advice. So much different and conflicting guidance. However, all advise to have level foundation first.
Thanks for the great advice! I had some thick pressure treated plywood cut up into squares to place under the buttresses around the pool and it's been perfect. I did have a buddy come in and level everything out and sand. Took my time and have zero wrinkles. The auto vacuum is a must have. The pump needs to be optimal pressure to get it working properly. Up here in Maine and kept covered with 3/4 water and it froze up nicely last winter. Set up fine in the spring. Thanks again
Dude.... your video should be at the top of the list of Intex videos. Clear, concise, you've identified the main issues and how to resolve them. Would have liked to see the video where you installed the hayward skimmer; the Intex add on skimmer sucks.
I’m wondering what vacuum hose you used for your skimmer? I’ve ordered the same skimmer and need to get the hose. If you say I’m either video I don’t recall hearing it
Great video brother... During this pandemic I decided to buy my first above ground pool. Do to the size and layout of my yard, I bought a 16'X48" round pool. I bought a Summer Wave unit since it came with a cartridge filter/skimmer system (for which I plan to upgrade for an Intex sand filtration & salt system) I will be able to modify the skimmer to function with it too. I did exactly what you mentioned but got the info from other sources. I did it all by hand by removing 15 wheelbarrows worth of dirt and even fabricated my own water level from Home Depot for $25 which It helped me to perfectly level the ground and pool. I even went and installed a small paver area by the ladder, so everyone can wash their feet before going in. On your comment of the discharge been close to the intake, my pool is the same way but with the exception that the return has a nozzle with a °30 spout which can be directed away from the skimmer, it really helps to circulate the water really well. I like Intex products but don't really understand why they seem to be behind the eight ball by not having skimmers.. Thx. again for the video.
I also manufactured my own water level. No ground broke yet. Still studying. The water level easily seems to be the most exact quick reference for any spot along the way.
Great video.I'm currently looking for an above ground pool (up to 18 ft round and 48 " to 52" high.)With the pandemic, it seems that everyone is either out of stock or a second party seller that I'm not willing to chance in case of defects.Hopefully the reputable sellers will get more in stock.I've been watching multiple videos in preparation for the pool. This one is by far my favorite.Very informative.I will be" hiring"😂 my son and son- in -law to do the work.I'm just gathering up the information for them.Do's and Don'ts are great to have.Thank you!
We have had this same exact pool. Our came with skimmer, sand pump, vacuum, and other accessories. We too had our ground leveled and cement rolled to flatten it out. The first year, 3 legs crumbled, because we didn’t have hard enough surface for the weight of the legs. We used thick green treated lumber, didn’t work. So then we made composite blocks with green treated lumber to the width of the legs and even a bit wider. What we were not made aware of is the rust from the salt. Our elbows started rusting out, some of the beams started rusting, so in June 2020, we had it filled and a beam snapped, breaking 3 legs, and all the water and salt was removed. We had a welder make us 3 legs with stronger steel 16 gauge, not 20, which is what these legs are made out of. We cut the ends off that snap into the beams for the welder to weld onto his legs he made. We had to order elbows and other beams. This time, we sprayed rustoleum bed liner undercoat on the ends to give them more protection. I leveled every leg again. What an exhausting job. We are now filling it again. It bows quite a bit in the middle on both sides. I was told this was normal, because the water will push the walls out. It takes about 8 bags of pool salt, so make sure you check the salt with a salt strip. I love the pool, but hate the rust and parts breaking and then good luck trying to find the parts. It will interesting to see if this works. Other than this, we have had no issues with the pump etc. we have had no trouble vacuuming it out with what came with, because it has a little nipple that you put on one of them suction hoses, which gives the vacuum the power it needs to suck up the debris. We also bought a better ladder, because the one they sent with was so flimsy and cheap. My son has the same pool and has rust starting in his, but his is on a cement slab and has had no issues with legs breaking.
yup the salt will rust it out. i had a 24x12 had to get new frame pcs. it was down for awhile nwen put bk up liner dry rotted got new liner. had 2 wks of rain 2 legs sunk pool started collapsin so i cut the liner before smthin bad happend. got a bunch of frame parts tho!! we finally got another n went bk to a simple 15ft round. first one was much better than the 24ft. we had 15ft round bfore the 24ft.
that little guy is Massive to me... haha, i have one of those maybe 1/3 of the size.. been struggling to find a way to keep it clean, and that vacuum stick you showcased really resonated with me. Thank you very much Everyday Man -from South Africa
Hey Cory! Thanks for doing this video! I was doing my research before buying my pool & found you thank goodness! I also grew up with doughboy above ground pools and know what it feels like to have a pool, bbq's, parties and family enjoying it! I have been taking notes and I think this is the size pool that I want for my backyard. I love how friendly and down to earth and to the point you are! I appreciate it your southern charm and want to make my backyard into a haven for myself & my family like you have! I am going to have to hire someone to level the ground though, I live in California and don't have a HUGE piece of property like you do! I thought I could just put a tarp down and a pad over the grass! I didn't think I had to take it down to the dirt and pull up the grass! I am renting and have a few sprinklers on the perimeter of the backyard so I will have to do some investigating and take more measurements! Thanks again! I definitely subscribed and hit the bell! I forwarded your video to my hubby to watch! You are awesome!
Thank you so much for the pool lesson! Very detailed! Thank you commentor Pam about the salt causing rust (She recommends Rustoleum Bed liner spray) & needing a sturdier surface for the legs so they don't buckle bc amongst all RUclips reviews that's been a MAIN ISSUE. One youtuber recommends putting pavers (LEVEL W GROUND! She adds)under each leg bc that's what fixed it for her, but she didn't lvl them & has an arch in the long wall. Thanks again!
We've had several above ground intex pools. The cartridge filters have never worked out for us, so we always hook up a sand filter. The only other major problem has been the hoses, so we forgo those and use pvc piping. Also hook up a skimmer. Small investments but it increases the life and enjoyment of the pool.
Did you use any chemicals besides salt when you 1st open the pool? And also could you do a video on how you hook up your vacuum, how you get it started and taking it out when done? I seem to always get soaked and lose all debris when pulling it out 🤔 One last thing sorry, could you give more info on how you installed your skimmer? I am so nervous on cutting the pool liner 😬 So sorry if you have already address any of these things. Thank you for all your advice I really enjoyed this video!!!
Hey man thanks a lot for the info a lot of good little tidbits I like the way that you just approach this straight up right from the bat no bulshit no beating around the bush none of that promoting products and this and that just straight-up what it is thanks man
Took my old 16x38 metal wall and got one of these. Over the years I collected pumps and sand filters. LOL Debating to add the wall skimmer yet. Might get a new cap for the sand filter and swap out or run a second line like I had on the old pool just to add circulation , heck, got more hoses, flex spa hose, etc to make this a jacuzzi pool . LOL
Loved your video. We have had this same pool for 4 seasons this year. Would you consider doing a short tutorial on the skimmer you installed? (Type it is, tips on installing on pool wall, how it’s linked to the saltwater pump) Would really be grateful, it’s the only issue/complaint we have with our set-up.
well done man! i can see u done ur homework, amazing job, i have been looking everywhere but i havent found one looking pool like yours, amazing job and tips, thanks for the video.
Awesome video, direct, full of information, and show very well. The only thing I would add to next my pool is something like water bib attached to the pole with the garden hose. That way the garden hose isn't hanging over the pool. It gives a clean look.
Great video. I've just ordered my first rectangle pool 36×16×52. I'm upgrading from an intex 18×48. I wasn't aware a skimmer wasn't included, but I have one on hand. Could you do a video on how to install one? I'm a bit nervous about cutting into the wall of the pool. I have a intex sandfilter 3000 and added a salt water system from my old pool that I'll be using on the new one.
What size vacuum hose did you use on the skimmer? If you said in either video I don’t remember catching that part. I’ve ordered the skimmer for the Intex 18x9x52 we have coming in Just don’t know what hose to get
That is all really good advice. Apart from it sounding a lot like an advert for Intex that's really well done. I had one of these pools for 5 years. We've since installed an in-ground pool. I didn't do some of the things like the skimmer or the automatic vacuum...but this is a proper pool setup. My one piece of advice, this is a big pool even though it is above ground, I would upgrade the pump and sand filter and it would make life even easier.
I know I sound like an intex commercial, their stuff works well. I do plant on upgrading the pump/filter when this one dies. But it just keeps running lol. I told my wife that when our first grandchild is born that we will have a back hoe in the yard digging out our "real" pool.
I had a 24 ft round Intex pool. I had exactly the same set up as this video, except I had a chlorine system and a larger filter. I also used a floating chlorine bowl mine was very easy to maintain and was clean all the time.
My pool is 5 years old now and it's showing its age a bit on the top of the liner on the frame. It's starting to fray a little. I'm sure I still have a year or two with it.
Thanks a bunch, this is super helpful! I would probably use a regular dish washing sponge with the scrubbing side on the liner though, since magic erasers can eat away at surfaces over time. I agree on the saltwater systems, not to mention it is really good for your skin and even helps with inflammation!
Heck ya I appreciate the info too! Everything you said and used is exactly what anyone needs for this pool to keep it looking like yours👍 I don’t have the salt water system yet but the handheld/ corner vacuum and putting the skimmer beside the ladder in that corner does the trick. I referenced this video several times to get my pool right. Thanks again🤚🏻 I also got the intex robot vacuum thing for the bottom and it helps a lot too, but gets clogged up pretty quick if you have algae on the bottom, having to empty it a lot
I have this same pool. How did you install the skimmer and is it a Intex skimmer? I was going to do this, but was concerned with the water pressure and pool design. Thank you very much for sharing your video. I'm looking forward to your feed back.
I have a 12 X 24 as well dirt does tend to accumulate in the corners just take just take a skimmer and push it out the intex pump vacuum is a must i had a smaller pool last year and no vacuum and it kept getting dirty this vac is a life saver
Impressive one of my collegue, juste one, we are about to set it up and, you look very familar to a friend , i did worke with, 15 years ago, he moved to USA with his americain wife clue, your gesture, red beard, if you, are, it is a pleasuere to see your work, your succes and willing to help others
Just hope everything works when you get one of these Intex pools. We just got a 22x52 round and the pump that came with it was dead out of the box. I'm playing hell trying to get them to replace it. They want a batch # that is not where they say it is.
Be happy you got a pool as they are pretty much sold out everywhere. You might contact your local pool store and just see what they have available because the world is a little crazy still.
Oh god what have I got myself into😄 just had some dirt laid and about to start my project with this same pool, right when it’s getting hot. I saved the video, any additional advice I’d greatly appreciate it, thanks for the video 👍👍👍
Hey Bro Thanks for the Vid....I'm setting my pool up today and going to use some of your pointers especially the wood under the legs. Other videos did not do that Makes perfect sense....
Thanks for the info. I'm new to the pool thing. I'll be putting up a 15 x 48 soon enough. I want things done right cuz once it's up I'm not taking it down. I am nervous about the upkeep part of it. Filtering vacuuming, & the pump.
Nothing better than a salt water chlorinator, water is crystal clear no need for chemicals and the water is the most refreshing quality there is, good tips awesome vid
@chunkylafangaa the water does not burn your eyes or anything but you may taste very small traces of salt if you get it in your mouth, it really isn't much though
Great video! I’m about to buy my first pool which is the same as yours and I will follow exactly the same set up you suggest. I appreciate the time you took to make the video. It’s answered all my questions plus some. Really helpful. Thank you.
I had a 9 by 12 Intex ultra frame pool for 5 years. Put an intex salt water system on the second year.Four years latter the salt had rusted the uprights and two of them broke off at the ground.Salt water system worked great but rusted all the steel frame.
Order from a big box store like Menards. They will say its backordered after you buy it, but it doesn't take too long for it to come in stock. Worth it!
@rbkahuna I found one on walmart.com, you have to keep checking the site, they are gone as fast as they get them listed, I had a 18' round in my cart and by the time I put my payment info in, they removed it from the cart, out of stock, one day later I looked and they had the 32' in stock and I got it. YAY! supposed to get in June 1. They are defiantly inflating prices right now.
Fantastic tips! You are awesome, we love the way you explained everything in a very simple straight forward way! We watched thousands of videos and We wish yours were the first to see because we wouldn’t need any other ones! Your videos save a lot of time for many first time above the ground pool users. Thank you Everyday Man!
Everyday Man Hello there. We spend past couple of days prepping the ground and building our Intex XTR ultra frame 16’ pool and started to fill it up. Even though we believed our ground was leveled now, having pool being half way filled we see and measur about 2inches level issue from one to another side of the pool. We hoped, since you have had many pools and have a lot of experience that you could advise us on whether to stop or continue filling. We watched a million videos and are completely confused and frustrated now. Thank you.
When you level your ground...DO NOT USE SAND...it washes away over time. If you want a great pool floor, set it up on 1” polystyrene boards, taped together with gorilla tape. It not only gives you a smooth pool floor, it also insulates! The Hayward skimmer is my next add on...the Salt water system is GREAT! Get it, it’s worth Every Penny. Otherwise this guy is on point. A deck would be nice too. Good video, thanks!
After you told me it is'nt alot of work with the comment i made,...ive got the 18 x 9 w/ the salt water system in my amazon cart,......now your the only one i trust with any advice you might have after rewatching your vids,....the question,....i want to put it under an rv canopy built on a solid concrete slab covered with a house like wood roof,....the frame i know will fit almost perfect within 4 big posts with footings in concrete,...one side and the ends all have room for braces,...the other side will not! but there is a cement two step curb,....could i build a study wall onto the first step and not use the braces on that side? or even modify the braces by cutting them off and putting the shortened ends into a post on the first step?,.........if that couldnt work,...could I build an box with the already there posts to put the whole water bladder/liner into and not use the braces at all and use the top rail to hold the liner shape or not use it at all,.... What would YOU do having this experience you have with these pools in my case,...i really want it under this canopy,....any comment or advice or ideas bring many thxx your way,..sorry for such an off the wall question.
The legs are what keep the tip ring in place. The coners float. I would be afraid to modify them because if it's not perfect it won't hold up the weight of the water. Now with that being said I have absolutely no idea if any of your thoughts may or may not work. I've never attempted to modify one.
Very nice....5 pools though.....might have been easier to go with a metal wall pool. I dig the idea of having a drink holder. Why so far away on the skimmer?
What is the measurement from the base poles away from the pool? I’m preparing the ground and I had to bring it in a little more than I wanted to make it square.
Great tips. I wanna see how to clean the debris at the bottom of this giant pool. Do you suggest to use polysphere instead of sand in a sand filter? Thanx
Thank you for sharing. So does this mean the pool does not need to be drained at the end of each season similar to inground pools? How do you cover for off season? Thank you.
Used this vid setting up my pool last year. You were right about the level 😩 we ended up about 3 inches out at one end and it looked a horrible mess. So it had to come down SND is just filling again now after properly leveling out the ground. My wife said I’m the UK version of you 😂 as have similar beards and the same looking cat 😂😂😂 wish I’d paid more attention to how high you put your skimmer. Think mines an inch or so too low 😞 wasn’t so bad when it was at the shallow end 😂😂
I added the hayward skimmer based on your instructions and ... PERFECT! Now I'm wondering if it would be worth my while to add a second (larger) filter & pump and a second return. I've already purchased the larger filter & pump just to upgrade from the existing system that came with the pool. I would use the existing pump dedicated to the skimmer and the intex vacuum. I would use the second larger pump for water filtration and circulation (using the 2 original inlet fittings and the new return). My question is - If I do this, what is the process for adding the second return? I'm guessing that it should be reinforced like it is for the original existing return. Any thoughts or ideas?
Great video. we just b set ours up. Also add a plastic trough at the end on your ladder on the outside of the pool filled with water; that way the kids can wash their feet off as they head up the ladder to get in the pool.
I’ve just installed this pool. I’ve had it up and running for about a week now. Can you please show me how the timer works? I’m a little confused on how long the pump should run verses the chlorination and I can’t seem to get the pump to turn off after the 8 hours it keeps running….. please and thank you in advance 🤔
I’m an idiot and didn’t do my research on these pools and just ya know..” yes wife just order a pool and we’ll put it up” my yard is sloped and I had to have lots of dirt brought in to fill an old concrete pool…. So it’s up and of course the ground all around keeps changing shape, it’s all good I’m going to drain it and redo some ground , idk why I’m telling you all this😄 yours looks so good , just sharing my pain lol
On the Intex marketing photos, they show the pools sitting on sod. I understand the importance of level ground. If you have level ground with sod, why can't you place it on the sod? The grass will quickly die anyway.
Everyday Man thanks for all your replies to everyone! It has been very helpful. You probably don’t even know how much support and great info you have spreaded out there all over the world!
Listen brother, truly man, your setup is phenomenal (practically perfect) and the information you've shared, the knowledge alone supercedes 99% of ALL other (Intex-related) videos by leaps and bounds! @jeremythomas7544 the frames have always outlasted the liners in my experiance.
I am 3:27 seconds into this video and paused to say thank you...excellent to the point help!

I liked the backyard simple straight to point filming, much more informative than many others out there on RUclips.
I have a part 2 if you want to check it out. Thanks for watching!
I have the 32x16x52 but this guy was the most helpful out of all the videos I've watched!
Thanks!
same! Thanks @Everyday Man

@@janicewilliams-millican6894 It's a vacuum hose. It's in the description
@EverydayMan where can I find them? Thanks for very helpful information 😊
Lots of people post videos of themselves talking. Few have as much worthwhile information to share as you do. Thank you.
Thanks!

I immediately knew you were from Louisiana. Great vid!
One of the best videos on the intex pool. Or the best video rather. Thank you for the info. Mine is being delivered in a couple weeks.
Thank you!
Excellent video!!! I just bought an Intex 10'x30" for my kids. I will be setting it up this week under my deck. This is great info. Thank you
we bought our 10x20 intex pool at costco 11 summers ago and love it.
There are a few videos other guys have done on the skimmer instal. I really can't do one because mine is already in. But its not hard.🙂
Can you put a link or description of the skimmer?! Cheers bro!! Very informative!!!
This has been the most informative videos I’ve seen on these pools. Thank you so much
Thank you!
Good video, wish I had known this when I bought my first Intex pool years ago.
Thanks
New intex pool owner. Thank you for great points here.
Thanks for watching
well done man! i can see u done ur homework, amazing job, i have been looking everywhere but i havent found one looking pool like yours, amazing job and tips, thanks for the video.
Thanks I appreciate it!
Awesome video, direct, full of information, and show very well. The only thing I would add to next my pool is something like water bib attached to the pole with the garden hose. That way the garden hose isn't hanging over the pool. It gives a clean look.
Thanks!
I did a part 2 where I talk about installing it. Thanks for watching.
What size vacuum hose did you use on the skimmer? If you said in either video I don’t remember catching that part. I’ve ordered the skimmer for the Intex 18x9x52 we have coming in Just don’t know what hose to get
My kinda guy 🇺🇸. Great video, thanks for the tips!
I also use the magic eraser on the pool to clean it. Was so quick and easy.
Thats a brilliant idea!
are they available in the uk?
Great set up advice, I just got a Intex pool and looks like the same size. Thanks again for the helpful info👍
Can you link the Salt Water Filter Please. This was AMAZING Info. Thank you so much!
I have a link in the description. It's the chlorine generator. Thanks for watching!
Extremely good tips. Fixing to buy 24 x 12. Thanks
Thanks for watching!
Great tips that I haven't heard elsewhere. Thanks!
Are going to do a video on how to set the skimmer eventually? That would help us a lot? Good video thank you all the way from Nevada.
I may
@@EverydayMan Where did the skimmer came from, any link? Thx

I had a 24 ft round Intex pool. I had exactly the same set up as this video, except I had a chlorine system and a larger filter. I also used a floating chlorine bowl mine was very easy to maintain and was clean all the time.
I have had my 15’ x 48. Intex for eleven years. I use the chemicals, but the ones Intex recommends. I live in the south and and it’s still going.
My pool is 5 years old now and it's showing its age a bit on the top of the liner on the frame. It's starting to fray a little. I'm sure I still have a year or two with it.
This video is top notch stuff. Thank you so much for all the valuable information , now I have the confidence to set up my pool .
Glad it helped!
Thanks again🤚🏻
I also got the intex robot vacuum thing for the bottom and it helps a lot too, but gets clogged up pretty quick if you have algae on the bottom, having to empty it a lot
Glad I was able to help you out!!
@@EverydayMan
Hey could you give me a link or tell me how or where to get the long hose to get the skimmer on the far corner?
@@jedediah7772 I'm having trouble getting it on my phone and I'm not at home. I have a part 2 of that video and the link is in that description.
@@EverydayMan ok cool, thanks man. If you think of anything just let me know
Thank you for sharing your experience. God bless!
Thanks
I have this same pool. How did you install the skimmer and is it a Intex skimmer? I was going to do this, but was concerned with the water pressure and pool design.
Thank you very much for sharing your video. I'm looking forward to your feed back.
@@markjackson6073 i did a follow up video where I talk about skimmer installation, check out my channel!
I have a 12 X 24 as well dirt does tend to accumulate in the corners just take just take a skimmer and push it out the intex pump vacuum is a must i had a smaller pool last year and no vacuum and it kept getting dirty this vac is a life saver
You speak the truth! I’ve had two and I have loved them!!
Impressive

Awesome advice 👍. My Intel pool is coming the end of July. Glad I watched your video -- so helpful
Glad I could help
Just hope everything works when you get one of these Intex pools. We just got a 22x52 round and the pump that came with it was dead out of the box. I'm playing hell trying to get them to replace it. They want a batch # that is not where they say it is.
I have tried calling them and can't get them.
Fill it with water and enjoy it!!
new subscriber, you deserve to have 1000, your channel is killing it! good luck getting to 1000!
Thanks
Hey Bro Thanks for the Vid....I'm setting my pool up today and going to use some of your pointers especially the wood under the legs. Other videos did not do that Makes perfect sense....
Thanks for watching. The boards work to keep the legs from digging into soft ground.
Awesome video and alot of useful information!!! I just have a question though. How did you install the skimmer into the liner of the pool at the end?
I just put the frame on the inside and used it as a template. then cut the hole.
@@EverydayMan
Does that void any warranty?
I really like that idea. I'm in the process of setting up my 32 x 16.
damnnnnnnnn, it is not just the information good but the t-shirt...love it
Please tell me how you installed the skimmer. I just got the same pool. Did you cut a hole in the pool....
Yes, use the frame to make your screw holes. Then you cut ur gasket in half and put it together on the pool. Then u can cut your whole.
Thanks for the info. I'm new to the pool thing. I'll be putting up a 15 x 48 soon enough. I want things done right cuz once it's up I'm not taking it down. I am nervous about the upkeep part of it. Filtering vacuuming, & the pump.
The small pools with the paper filters can be a handful.
Don’t forget to put phos free in once a week it’s a natural Alge eliminator especially after it raine
Nothing better than a salt water chlorinator, water is crystal clear no need for chemicals and the water is the most refreshing quality there is, good tips awesome vid
Thanks!
Does the saltwater chlorinator make the pool water salty or is it still fresh water?
@chunkylafangaa the water does not burn your eyes or anything but you may taste very small traces of salt if you get it in your mouth, it really isn't much though
I was gonna get the 32x16 but this looks big as hell
It is quite large!
We have the 32 x 16 and I’m nervous to put it up
I'm in the middle of tilling for a 32x16. The idea of having a bobcat come in sounds amazing... my arms would thank me.
@@alphacat9302 no doubt😅
Great video! I’m about to buy my first pool which is the same as yours and I will follow exactly the same set up you suggest. I appreciate the time you took to make the video. It’s answered all my questions plus some. Really helpful. Thank you.
Glad I could help!
Thank you!! Now I won’t spend money on a pool. We will keep going to my friends house. Lol.
Haha!
🤣 now I want to take mine back
I had a 9 by 12 Intex ultra frame pool for 5 years. Put an intex salt water system on the second year.Four years latter the salt had rusted the uprights and two of them broke off at the ground.Salt water system worked great but rusted all the steel frame.
I would say 5 years is a success!
i started looking for the 16x32 and no one seems to have them right now.
I bought mine off of Amazon I really like mine had it for 3 yrs
Order from a big box store like Menards. They will say its backordered after you buy it, but it doesn't take too long for it to come in stock. Worth it!
@rbkahuna I found one on walmart.com, you have to keep checking the site, they are gone as fast as they get them listed, I had a 18' round in my cart and by the time I put my payment info in, they removed it from the cart, out of stock, one day later I looked and they had the 32' in stock and I got it. YAY! supposed to get in June 1. They are defiantly inflating prices right now.
Great video, fantastic tips and tricks. Cheers
My wife bought one and im stressin now thinkin i aint trying to NONE of this
It aint bad. Give it a shot!
Great video. Thanks for posting, about to watch your other pool videos. 8:37 Is there a video of the sun sail patio shade?
No, I sure don't. Might have to do one though!
Great info sir & great camera woman!!
Thank you!
Thank you.
@@michalienka24 2 inches isn't bad. I would continue filling it.
Great video. Super helpful and honestly one of the most informative. Thanks!
Thanks!
Thanks so much this was so educational and gave me good tips in preparation for getting a pool.
I notice that you have plugged the side of the pool what did you use to plug it cause I do have a skimmer. I have a 32 x16 and I love it
I used the plugs that originally came with the pool. Thanks for watching.
are you talking about the strainer plug cause I would like to get rid of mine
When you level your ground...DO NOT USE SAND...it washes away over time. If you want a great pool floor, set it up on 1” polystyrene boards, taped together with gorilla tape. It not only gives you a smooth pool floor, it also insulates! The Hayward skimmer is my next add on...the Salt water system is GREAT! Get it, it’s worth Every Penny. Otherwise this guy is on point. A deck would be nice too.
Good video, thanks!
Thanks
I've never attempted to modify one.
thanks for the video. im still a little confused on hooking up the vacuum to the discharge. How does that work to suck up debris?
Its a sweeper. It work on induction.
Love this video! Straight forward and informative.
Thanks, glad u liked it!
Very nice....5 pools though.....might have been easier to go with a metal wall pool. I dig the idea of having a drink holder. Why so far away on the skimmer?
It makes the circulation better.
Thank you.
I leave my pool up and active year round
Used this vid setting up my pool last year. You were right about the level 😩 we ended up about 3 inches out at one end and it looked a horrible mess. So it had to come down SND is just filling again now after properly leveling out the ground. My wife said I’m the UK version of you 😂 as have similar beards and the same looking cat 😂😂😂 wish I’d paid more attention to how high you put your skimmer. Think mines an inch or so too low 😞 wasn’t so bad when it was at the shallow end 😂😂
I love it!
Being level with a pool this big makes a difference. Thanks for watching, and I hope I helped you out a bit!
I'm sure you could cut a new inlet. I would be interested in how it works out!!
Thanks for putting on your time on this educative video!
Quick question: do o have to make sure the ground is perfectly leveled?
As close as u can.
What skimmer do you have and how did you put it on the pool please? Thank u so much! 😀😀😅

Great video. we just b set ours up. Also add a plastic trough at the end on your ladder on the outside of the pool filled with water; that way the kids can wash their feet off as they head up the ladder to get in the pool.

Thank you so much!!! 🎉
Just bought the same pool, what type or make is the skimmer that you have? Thanks for your time
I have a link to it in the description. Thanks for watching.
Lol
Great content in all of your Intex pool videos. So many helpful tips!
On the Intex marketing photos, they show the pools sitting on sod. I understand the importance of level ground. If you have level ground with sod, why can't you place it on the sod? The grass will quickly die anyway.
If your grass is level go for it. Ive put several of mine on grass.
