They use their pool as an opportunity to meet new people and share Jesus’ love with them. Awesome pool, and a lovely couple 🤍 Glad that someone took notice of them and their hard work.
The hydrostatic pressure really doesn't do anything to aid in filtration. He just moved the typical sand filter to inside the pool, making it more difficult to change in the future and impossible to backwash. But it works, and better than my external sand filter. We agree! Such a clever way to do it. Also apparently it’s a “duck repellent” as well. Micky told us it’s unusual for ducks to sit in a row, so ducks flying over assume they are sick and don’t land on the pool.

@@saiyamoru "Crazy-millionaire-mansion money" is literally what we are talking about here. This man is clearly a multi-millionaire (I'd say 8-figure net worth minimum), with enough money to not just own a large home on a large piece of property, but also to spend on this pool. Not to mention the time and energy that he has clearly put into it, which is only possible because of his wealth.
@@TheSimianDeity idk why you people are just showing up after three weeks to nitpick over what constitutes 'crazy' amounts of money but the point is that this is an amusement-park-level attraction and it was pulled off by someone whose net worth isn't that of Universal Studios. He also did plenty of the work on it himself or with the aid of his family, which doesn't suggest a guy who's oozing money out of every pore. As for the property value - bruh, the man lives in Covington, Tennessee, right outside of Memphis. Have you SEEN the property values of that town? $250,000 for a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom house with a huge yard. On Zillow right now. Owning property doesn't make you part of the 1% in that part of the country.
The main question I'd have for him is if he'd considered a pond and why he preferred a huge pool. Ponds are more complicated, getting the balance right with plants and fish, but at that size it's easier and it avoids the cost of using pounds of chlorine daily. While it's extremely rare to have a pool this size at a private residence, ponds this size are much more common. I love the DIY spirit and the filter system is clever! The graphic really helped me understand it. So what happened when he needed to change all the water?
