Changing impedance to low seemed to fix this for me. I'm in the UK and can confirm it works fine for right hand drive
I did this to my 6 and it looks better then in most modern cars ! Buy the more expensive option that has integrated ecu cooling its worth the money (hot summer days can overheat maybe). I do recommend when installing this to place some soft tape material in between the car dashboard and multimedia that you are installing because the fit cant be super perfect and this will avoid annoying rattle .
Mine works well , you probably didn't connected right cables , see if you missed something on video ,if you have frend who knows or just pay car electrician to install it , they charge 50 euros for example here in Europe , also back camera aint easy to connect right , I couldn't do it right.

@michaelhare6605 can confirm that the entire audio system of the car itself (cd+radio or whatever was in there) doesn't work anymore. The volume control also doesn't work, you're entitled to program the volume keys for media control. Annoying if one of the buttons doesn't work that well anymore.
I bought the T1max model and installed it a few days ago. The installation was not very difficult, I did it myself. The sound quality is okay, but a little different from the standard. The car play is wireless and works well. Unfortunately, the volume control stopped working, so you need to have buttons on the steering wheel, so I plan to install them.
Tbh i put a lot of radios in different cars and you dont even need to disconnect the battery, you can even cut the cables with the battery on and nothing will happen
I own a mazda 6 gg 2003 and i have a problem with the display (clock, info etc). I doesn't show all lines and i can not read the informstion on it. I heared it can be fixed by resoldering the cold soldering joints. Do you have any info on it ?
The signal wire is most likely the problem for the reverse camera, I added an AV-IN icon on my desktop and turn on the reverse camera from there manually.

Did you end up buying it? Im wondering if there are any issues with the Bose Amp. From the looks of it, this unit piggybacks off the OEM headunit, which should trigger the amp on. If not theres usually a line on the harness that can be spliced. Id be interested to hear how you got on.
Mine didn't bring the can bus … to my understanding the screen has its own can bus settings too. Ill try to install it in my mazda and see what happens.

I'm looking at a mazda 6 2.3 LL with 93,000 miles on it. Sharp looking car buy are they reliable? I know it old but all i can afford rn. Tray is broke where this screen would go. Only other issue i found was gas door lever is wonky and hard to open the gas door. But i test drove it and ran perfectly fine and handled perfect. 1 owner.
I own a 2007 Mazda 6 2.3L Dynamic, which I purchased in 2008 with 10500km on the clock. It was a demo model and going for a good price. Wouldn't trade it for anything else. Very reliable and not expensive to maintain. You can't go wrong and you will be very happy with your purchase.
Man car runs great. Had to replace the BCM cause turn signals went haywire. Other than that it's great on gas I can't believe how well it handles. They even detailed it day before I picked up and I was approached by 2 people already that asked if I wanted to sell it. I told them, you can't afford what I would want cause it's so dependable. I do miss my jeep but not the gas it used!
Hey. Yeh i got it all working. I managed to retain the original CD player also, through the AUX cables provided. I recommend you do that because the antenna cable doesn't reach up to the dash unit. Too short.. Or buy an antenna cable extender is you want FM through the new unit. But yeh works a treat. Not the loudest sound though, but it's ok for me
I am seriously considering buying. Does it work plug and play with Bose (mazda 6 2007 GG) Does the rear camera work if they don't prepare on 360? Do you need a sim card for 4G? Do I need wifi for navigation if I don't have 4G? Does it have an integrated microphone or do you have to use the external one that comes in the package? Do you expect problems if the car is left in the sun for a long time? Does the plastic squeak when driving after installation?

My friend has had it since the video been made and has no complains as far as I know. I think the only thing is that it won’t connect automatically sometimes. Not sure what you mean if it’s safe, why wouldn’t it be?
Have you figured out how to get the radio and/or OEM CD player/aux port modes to work? I think the wiring for the large connector essentially overrides the oem stereo entirely apart from the head unit controls. Can't even use the volume dial on the oem stereo to control, only the tablet or steering wheel. Nice vid. I ordered and installed thanks to your installation guide here. Looks great and works well! Just hoping to utilize more of my oem stereo/radio in parallel with this new head unit.
Me too, no radio functionality in Android unit nor OEM stereo either. I will face into the reversing camera in the future when I recover from this install .
@@DamonBirrell You won't get radio signal in the head unit unless you get an antenna extension cable. The OEM cable in the car is too short to reach the 3.5mm antenna jack in the head unit since the head unit is located so much higher on the dashboard. And if you unplugged the radio antenna cable from the OEM stereo during installation, your OEM radio won't get a signal either.

He did! He had to contact the company that sold him that unit to get the unlock code and change the settings from 360 camera to reverse only camera. It worked perfectly after, so make sure you order the version you need.

If the stock radio works as amplifier shouldn't the quality be at least the same as before installing the android head unit? Currently the sound is not very clear and the maximum volume is lower
Factory radios with factory speakers are tuned from the factory. Once you replace, either the radio or speakers, the tuning will be off and usually the sound quality will be off. So you will have to re-tune your system accordingly.

Yes, it can make audio sound a bit worst if the CarPlay unit you get has crappy pre-amp. This one seemed fine, but vendors can change their quality any time since this comes from China.

The OEM stereo (both radio and CD) is powered by 1 cable so you unplug that and plug in the head unit to the stereo. The head unit comes with a power cable cluster that has both male and female ends so you plug the car power cable back into the head unit and that powers both the stereo and head unit at once. With the shroud, you also cannot turn off the head unit. It powers on as soon as the car is started so even if you are using the radio or CD changer, the head unit is still powered on.

@@carlosrubio658 i've installed this and can 100% confirm: the oem cd player/radio does not work anymore. It lights up, takes CD's and stuff but there is no audio because it is rerouted to the android screen.
@@TrollersJustice According to what the seller has told me, the CD can be kept by putting the screen in "aux" and connecting the cables in a certain way (he has sent me a photo). I'll have to try it when I install it. At least it light up, which looks much nicer. Thanks for the response!
The quality of the plastic cover over the screen is a bad quality I bought one after installation just within two day parking few hours out under the sun it has been melted this an disadvantage for this product

Looks nice but I would have liked to see you disconnect the battery first before playing with the electrics.

Reverse camera will only put the device in reverse view if you tap the camera into the backup tail light.

CANBUS decoder allows the stereo controls to work :) CANBUS allows communication between the ECU of the car and the aftermarket unit.

Hey, what happens to the original CD player? Does it just sit there and do nothing? Or does it still function?
We didn't test it, but it should work as before. I know the radio was still working just fine.

@@SimpleCarGuy I'm also curious to know if the OEM radio still works. In the ad I've seen, it says that the CD is still working. Does it still light up at night? Can the buttons be used?
@@carlosrubio658 i've installed this and can 100% confirm: the oem cd player/radio does not work anymore. It lights up, takes CD's and stuff but there is no audio because it is rerouted to the android screen.
@@TrollersJustice According to what the seller has told me, the CD can be kept by putting the screen in "aux" and connecting the cables in a certain way (he has sent me a photo). I'll have to try it when I install it.
At least it light up, which looks much nicer.

The quality of the plastic cover over the screen is a bad quality I bought one after installation just within two day parking few hours out under the sun it has been melted this an disadvantage for this product
