Couple of questions: 1) If the unit has a mic in front, why do you need to use the external mic on the door pillar? 2) GPS-Does it work well with that gps antenna? 3) Back-up camera must be purchased separately? 4) How about the Mazda CX-5 unit from Idoing? Looks like it does support the wheel functions in the center lower console. What about the other functions? Thanks and keep those great videos coming..!!

1) With the external microphone you will be heard better.
2) Yes, it works great.
3) Depending on where you buy the unit, some sellers also give a reversing camera that usually does not have the best quality. This Idoing unit did not come with a camera.
4) Idoing has quality products, I think it will go well. However, first ask the seller about compatibility with your car.

@@vickyghimis6067 Pe masina pe care am instalat eu (Mazda 6) nu sunt astfel de probleme. Probleme de acest fel am intalnit la unele masini din gama VAG (VW, Skoda) dar nu la Mazda.

Hello. I haven't tried if I can answer calls from the steering wheel control button. You can answer calls by tapping on the Android navigation screen.
Might have to get a kit that adapts them to plug into your radio, it's a hole separate kit most car audiio stores have
Hi can you please help me? I have a bose system and the white connector of my original stock harness can't be plugged into my aftermarket head unit. Hello. I'm sorry, but I haven't installed the Android system on car with Bose and I don't know how to do it. I think you should ask about this the seller from whom you bought the Android unit.
@@AdrianDragan no worries i simply connected the amp wire coming out of my android box to the amp wire coming out of the power harness for the audio to start working. turns out that amp wire coming out of the android box has 12v on it it can be used to power stock or 3rd party amplifier

Nice video Adrian thanks for posting this; I ordered the same unit and in the middle of installation on my 2009 Mazda 6, there are no mounting brackets on the android unit, how did you mount it to the dash? around 12 minutes you quickly place it in and put the brackets back on, with being loose not bolted down, I am afraid with vibrations and shakings the unit will get damaged, thanks in advance for your response, cheers

The Android unit is well fixed there and has no vibrations. The unit is fixed in the upper frame with air vents and the lower frame from air conditioning controls.

How is this radio working after a year? I know the Mazda's have a passive antenna for FM reception, does that work fine? Read multiple reviews that it's not that great....
Hello. This car is not mine, but the owner is very happy with this Android unit and it works great after a year. I don't know what to tell you about the FM radio reception because the owner listens to oniline radio (TuneIN) or online music (Spotify, RUclips).

I received my Idoing device on December 4th, 2020 and installed it today. I bought it as indicated in the link posted under the video.
As stated in the description, this device should also fit the BOSE sound system in my 2010 Mazda 6GH.
Now I'm not sure if
1) this device really fits the BOSE sound system (various comments below the video cast doubts).
The volume level can be adjusted in the system settings, but there is always an annoying noise at low volume.
2) The radio's RDS function (display of station names) cannot be set. According to the item description, this should be possible.
3) I cannot set the functions of the on-board computer display (power consumption, remaining km, etc.) with the steering wheel buttons (and also not in the system settings) - how do you do that?
The device actually works fine, but I'm afraid that my BOSE sound system will be damaged.
In addition, the RDS function and the on-board computer display must work.
So what can I do?
Please help me.

1. So if you bought from IDOING their device is not compatible with the BOSE audio system. You can see that in the second link, under the video, that it is compatible with BOSE, that is Android from SINOSMART. Because of the incompatibility with Bose, that annoying noise is heard, I don't think the sound system was damaged. You can try to replace the original radio and see if it works properly.
2. I think that in the FM Radio application you can find an RDS activation or deactivation function. RDS stations will be displayed only on the Android screen and not on the car screen on the dashboard.
3. On the car I installed on Android, the controls on the steering wheel for the on-board computer worked, but I couldn't get out to set the clock on the car screen.
I'm sorry to hear about these issues. Check where you bought: Idoing or Sinosmart.

Jump. RCA cables (red and white) are for auxiliary audio input and output. The yellow RCA cable is for reverse camera video input. I didn't use any.

Hi. Updates do not come automatically but can be downloaded from the manufacturer's websites upon request directly from the seller. I've been using an Adndroid unit on one of my cars for more than 3 years and it works great without any updates, but it's a version with an Octa Core processor and 4Gb ram.

I listen to music with a USB stick but my usb cable is not perfect anymore, sometimes it stops the music, when i play with the cable it works again. Are there USB cable's for sale wat goes in the android radio ? Or do you have other options?

Hello. I use Google Maps or Waze if I have an Internet connection. If you do not have the possibility to connect to the internet all the time, you can use maps downloaded online for Google Maps or you can use the HereMaps Application. All navigation applications work very well on this device.

Hi, i also have the Seicane Head unit since a month or so and i love it. Do you know if there is a way to change the displayed Information on the board-computer display above the radio? I want to Switch between Average Consumtion and Current Consumtion but since i swapped the head units i'm stuck with the "average consumption" and i havent figured out how to change this, since the "set" button on the steering wheel controls the android radio and not the board-computer.... Hello. I don't know exactly, it wasn't my car. In the Factory Settings / CanBus menu, choose Mazda 5 or other Mazda models and see which one will work properly. You don't have to learn the steering wheel buttons in that menu, if you select the right canbus menu your car then the steering wheel controls will have to work.

@@SveenxHD So. If you buy a quality Android unit that has DSP (digital sound processor) audio quality will improve compared to the original radio. If the original speakers do not sound good you can change them.

Hi. You can use a sim card that you put in its special slot as you see in my clip or make a hotspot on the phone and connect to it, I prefer the second option. Music can be heard through the car's speakers.

Cel mai probabil unitatea Android nu este compatibila cu sistemul Bose de pe masina. Totusi ar trebui incercata conectarea mufelor RCA audio din spate, intre ele.

Yes, you can control this data with the buttons on the steering wheel. However, when I installed Android Unit I was unable to adjust the clock on the dashboard screen.

Hello. I don't realize what it could be, I didn't notice this problem. It can accidentally touch the ON / OFF button, when you touch it lightly it activates the mute function.

Hi I tried installing a similar screen. It worked at first then only the illuminated buttons worked but the actual screen was blank and the infotainment was also blank. I tried reinstalling the factory radio but same issue. Do you have any idea what the problem is?

I connected the canbus decoder but the steering wheel controller doesn't work for me as well as radio the stock one doesn't have a socket for radio but the android one have so i left it unplugged
very nice video of the install.. but a serious question, why spending so much money on such a crap radio? you can buy much better and reliable for that money, and the work is just the same.
This radio has a good processor for such devices (octa core) quite a lot of memory (4Gb), 4G modem data, etc.
Cheaper models do not have such features, but probably many of us live without all these options, with a modest device that successfully carries out the basic tasks.
Everyone is free to spend their money as they wish.

This radio can do all that you want, everything included.. but what about the real purpose of the radio? how does it sounds compared to a"real" radio like a pioneer or jvc or any brand from that price range, the real brands can offer you a radio that can do about the same, but for sure they will sound better, they will have a better amp more powerfull en better quality.. the amp in you're radio is a TDA7850 you can lookup the specs, it's not such a great amp, compared to one of the real brands.. Still a great video, but would'nt recommand to spend to much money idoing radio.
Yes but i don't think than another radio feet in Mazda dashboard ... that's the main reason why people buy this. Because we are stuck with the dashboard.

Hi. I can't set the screen clock on the dashboard, otherwise it all works using the controls on the steering wheel.
@@AdrianDragan Okay, so your steering control working , but not using canbus communication ,otherwise your OEM LCD will work. This is common cheat of Chinese sellers, saying that steering control using canbus, but actually it using SWC /analogue/ , and none of canbus protocols are recognized by the fake Android devices. I had this issue in the past and I tear-down the canbus device, and found this is not manufactured to be used for Mazda brand at all. They just put some Mazda label on the device cover, and selling it as working. With correct /non fake/ canbus you will have all settings working on your car, just using multimedia dashboard, including climate control , doors status, gear position and many other benefits of the canbus car network. The worst thing is that they selling this crap expensive, and without any future support.
@@SHolmes I think I misunderstood, the steering wheel controls work with the android unit and Canbus connected. I haven't tried to see if it works without having Canbus connected.
@@AdrianDragan I tested it without canbus module connected. SWC working fine without it. If your canbus adapter is "simple" - the red one , it have very limited options, and only decode few commands from canbus network. you can have a look at the manufacturer site : www.ssinterface.com/pro_detail.php?cid=71&id=59 . There is also another manufacturer called "Raise" , and it is better, because can communicate with the OEM LCD , but still many options are missing with it. Both of them are based on STM32 processor, and all of these devices are half working chinese clones. If you wold use canbus network, I suggest you to buy arduino canbus shield , and to make your own real working canbus adapter , but there still lot of reverse engineering needed, to make some good product. Anyway , if you decide to control your reverse camera, the reverse signal can be taken from canbus , not from the reverse bulbs cables :) These Chinese devices were made without any technical sense. Just copy and paste sometimes clone :)
