Yeah, Use Ctrl + L to change local to global. (Method Number 4) Also forgot to mention that you should use Increments in method No. 3 (Arching). For better Arching, use "5 in Rotate" and "0.05 for Moving"
@@TaxFraudBruh holding crtl while you resize or with f3x plugin in the resize option clicking both. Also if you mean resize all ways (height, width and long) at the same time it's holding shift while you resize

If they didn't work for you, then you can hold ctrl with left click mouse after you can see blue lines. Or you can use select click left mouse all parts. I am not sure if you already knew that.
Whenever I see other people with super advanced models, they are usually made in blender, and blender is so confusing to use. However, your builds inspire me to be more creative with what I have in roblox studio! Also you are so talented this is all very helpful!
Hey! For global moving(tip 4), you actually can press ctrl + L to change the movement from local to global! So rotated parts can be moved on the global axis :D
Honestly, i saw the beggining of your channel and never really cared much about building now today because of some friends i started building models, and god this video is helful thanks!
I find the easiest way to make a curve is by putting another part a long way away but parallel and using the rotate tool to build segments, and then gap fill them together
Yea, like ItzBlueFloofYT said. You can press ctrl + L or command + L if you’re on Mac to turn on global movement without having to insert another part. Btw the tip where you insert a sphere into a cylinders location was really useful! I didn’t know that before.
About the first tip, if you worked with a 0.1 increment instead of 0.02 which is stupid it would be much easier to do. About the arch, you could simply use resize align instead of spamming gapfill. To prevent the parts from clipping with each other you could simply make them properly and not put them inside each other.
1.i didn't mention any specific numbers because any good numbers could make it fit 2.it's ok you can use both methods , my method just gives smoothness with the curve 3. i mentioned 3 ways to eliminate z-fighting and that was one of them btw.... ( Check 6:18 )
More tips: use increments in halfs 1, .5, .25, .125 to make it easy to line stuff up. A way to line corners up perfectly on corners with simple math is clone the block, then move the block so the middle of the block is on the edge of the other block you want to rotate about, then turn your block and move it into place. Probably hard to understand but a video would make it clear. There is also plugins that do this easier, which works too
Not gonna lie ik iam so late for comments but bro you saved my modeling career iam a 2 months modeler i just do simple stuff and sometimes i follow your own tutorials
Tip from what I have learned and my experience before not bothering to do it: when you’re searching for an item, all ways check the script of that item, there was loads of red trees I put in my game and somebody had scripted a virus in it, I didn’t know this until I was on my sister account playing the game, and then a random dude join called dememetion or something like that, (I had HD admin in the game) he has admin, when I had never granted him access, he had brooks and all, I went on my main acc and asked his friend, he finally broke loose and told me to look in the trees. This happened again another time. Please don’t make the same mistake as I did heh 😅
This happens a lot when you use free models, so just make sure to clean the models and get rid of any unneccessary scripts ! This is how I started making my own models, just to avoid any viruses. Thanks for sharing your experiences ! (Sorry if my grammar is bad, I'm only using google translate)
Glad to say as building alone for 6 or 7 off-and-on years, I basically discovered all of these myself. What I do to get a moldable sphere is adding a brick part, inserting a "special mesh" object into it, and then choosing "sphere" in it's properties. I haven't used mesh-packs since the old days of using C-frame in game, but maybe it'd be a good idea and would expand the tools for building new things. Someone pointed out that in studio you can press Ctrl+L to fix that local/global movement issue. But one thing that fex *actually* does have up on studio is resizing. Technically you can select a bunch of blocks and resize them all individually at the same time, as opposed to resizing them as a group (last I checked, I don't use fex.) But they'd all have to be aligned the same way, or the direction you want them to be resized. This could be considered a downside at certain times though
Make the script into the startercharacterscript and do this -- While true do wait() script.Parent:WaitForChild("Humanoid").MaxHealth = 100 script.Parent:WaitForChild("Humanoid").Health = 100 end -- well if the gun damage are above 100, sorry cant help you. Don't mention me about your comment didn't mentioned by model creator.
Or you could just make a team and enable neutral and customize it... sometimes your TeamsFolder is not in your baseplate but you can save your game by copying or save the contents to another game.
I was thinking that maybe you could make an invisible brick hitbox on the NPC and then insert a script to make it so it damages the NPC if a 'bullet' from the gun hits it, but you guys are profesional and I don't even know how to script so my idea probably doesn't make sense lol but just do what they said

So, as a long time dev, I'd say this video is really good for alot of people, the people who recently started out in building, and other people who knew a bit about building in roblox studio, the problem is, MOST of these things that i saw, are things that i know, and the further i went in the video, your builds are amazing, but you have to define it reasonably, i wouldn't recommend this to an expert yet i find this entertaining for new starters and beginners. Amazing video, no offense
Really helped me a lot in the Building Domain, as a builder myself, some of these tricks are really helpful and time saving. Cheers for the help you provide.
Quick tip : For the first tip u can actually use f3x much faster, i build skateparks and stuff so what i do is place a cylinder and then duplicate it go to the plugin f3x click on add mesh select sphere then i make it the size which u can copy from the properties and there we go, also if u wanna make rails and fences u can use the plugin pipes! Hope this helps
2:09 I just use archimedes. And if I needed to make the parts align if they're angled I use resize align by the same creator of gapfill. Good plugins can help make your life much much easier
I like your channel because your videos are cool and you are making videos without talking alot like other youtubers that make a 20 minutes long video and spend 15 minutes talking about unrelated things! And im a subscriber!
Noticing some of these techniques and seeing I use most makes me happy to see I'm on a good path lmao. For the windows I usually rock the neon material, pitch black color, .7 or .8 transparency and it looks pretty great.
Thank you for taking the time to actual present to us on how we can improve and make amazing creations with these tips. I myself am really thankful since I’m a builder of a project my team is working on! Keep up the builds man these creation show me a lot of how far a persons creativity can go.
You could press control + L to use global moving if you wanted, also for number 5, that is commonly known as v-glitching, if you union both parts then it will stop without needing to change the size, if you don’t want both parts to be unioned. Yes I noticed model creators comment, I did after I wrote this and just don’t feel like deleting it
These tips are great and very helpful! Although I discovered them before this video, I'm glad you're sharing it with others! One thing to take into consideration: on tip No. 5, the first method will automatically reverse the effects and cause clipping IF the player is in a low-graphics setting. That's my ONLY complaint about this video. Everything else I absolutely recommend using.
As a Roblox developer for four years in a row (mainly a scripter) I think that keeping stud increments EVEN should be a NEED. This can allow for much more well designed builds with a very little amount of unneeded/unnecessary lines. Try to keep increments as little as even factors of a stud or whole number sizes (if greater than 1). I know some may use no incrementing and just use by eyeballing it, though I think its more precise (especially when scripting positions and tweening, that it should be made with accuracy, not precision.
Gonna edit this as I watch the video. Okay first tip: How about using the proper grid snap like 1,0.5,0.1,0.05 rather than 0.02... that is a much too small measurement when making most things that need to be precise. Second tip: just scroll down to the part size and resize it that way. If you want very accurate resizing you can do some VERY BASIC math. Third tip: There are some very helpful add-ons for this! One good one I believe was named Archimedes two? (I haven't worked in studio for a bit) Rest of the tips are fantastic!
2:37 you can also just copy the same block and move it up how much you want to than rotate it until you get a circle, glitching is not a problem, just make the block longer or thinner or give it a gap to fill with a plugin called gapfill
2:26 F3x has a feature where you press “T” while rotating. A pink marker will appear and you can place it on an edge or a point. Then you can rotate around the edge. It’s the method I use to create arches
I already know all of theses since I have almost 3 years of experience but, that's not what I'm trying to say. I think (by watching just a couple videos of the speed builds I could of got to this point) This video did help me a lot since I didn't know what global move was. I searched up how to change between the modes in dev forum which now I can start developing again
I've done studio for about 7 years and I found some of these things very helpful. Especially the arches. I've been using buildV4 for that. Good video. I would recommend you not to use unions as much though, they tend to cause a lot of problems in terms of lag
btw, there’s also a plugin to make filling the spheres with cylinders much easier. it’s called “Pipes” and it creates a perfect cylinder between two selected spheres. it’s really just three clicks, and thats why i like it so much! i forgot the link tho, sorry.
4:33 here is a quick way of doing this. first, right click the world to open a small tab, then you will see a bunch of options. You can click "local rotation" or "global rotation" to switch axis modes, which is near the bottom of the tab. (Sorry if I misspelled anything, I dont remember what it says and I also cant check because its currently 2:42AM.)
At 1:00 , Or, You can duplicate that cylinder and turn it into a ball. That makes a perfect one. At 2:53 , Or, You can also use the archimedes plugin to make perfect stuff like that.
