There's all kinds of ways to make beskar'gam and all kinds of resources. It all depends on if you want to be an official member of the Mandalorian Mercenaries or not.
I just love this trend of repurposing old concept art and the like Clone Wars and (especially) Rebels made a thing in the franchise. In this case, Boba's rifle from the Holiday special!
In the Star Wars Episode 9 trailer, a shot of a throne is shown. That actually model off concept art for Return of the Jedi. Also I think in Force Awakens, when they are on jakku there's a entry way to the area Rey is at. That entry-way was based on concept art for ANH
Thanks Odin for teaching me a lot about props! Once I get better at making them, I might apply for a costume and prop designer for movies or tv shows 🤷🏻♂️
When using shoe polish for making wood grain effects, I use the kind from Kiwi that has the triangular foam block on the bottle. It makes some effective wood like ripples.
Odin: Sanding, sanding, sanding, and more sanding. Me: grinding, grinding, and more grinding, foiling, foiling, and more foiling. Haha can relate (though stained glass) to how long it takes to get something just right.
I didn’t realize how much I wanted you to make this until you made it. It’s so satisfying to see this IRL. Also I feel like you have reached a new level of awesome with all the different kinds of plastics and new techniques that I’m seeing you use now. It’s so good and I’m learning so much!
Awesome work! Love the outcome and that you even included the part of the stock you messed up and redid in terms of paint. Sometimes I mess up on my own props, especially with the paint, but redoing it is always worth the extra work.
Thank you so much for this video!! Now I have the perfect Christmas gift for my dad!!! Edit: Oh.... this needs a lot of materials and tools I don't have. I don't see a way for this to work out. Maybe I can't make this for my dad. Edit 2 (2 years later): I forgot to get back to this, but it ended up working out! I used this video as well as I Like to Make Stuff’s video to inspire me. It came out amazingly and my dad still has it to this day. Thanks for the video, Odin!
I saw a recommended video from Odin Makes, I clicked on it hoping it was the odin from AWE (I think thats what the channel was) and it was, I always loved your bits the most, you have a new sub
Thank you for listing the supplies you used! I might use the styrene to put the accessories on my mandalorian gauntlets! Right know they are just plain cylinder shaped
An interesting build..... Mine is a 3d print that has yet to be built but adding parts to it would give it some weight and make the prop more "used"....
I know would be a large challenge , but Love to see a foam B9 Robot suit, and or parts just to see what ingenuity used on some of the clear/colored, body/ head parts.
I found out, thanks to Black Magic Crafts, that 3M Super 77 works amazingly on foamular boards as long as you don't get closer than 8-10 inches. Even when I did get too close on one pass the solvent evaporated quick enough that it did almost nothing to the eps board.
Being as it was batman's 80th a month or so a go, id really like to see some batman creations, maybe certain batarangs or makes for each member of the batman family
I love your videos, I get alot of comments about how artistic i am and ask how i learned it because I myself am a cosplay/ prop maker, I just tell them that I learn by watching you. Can't wait for your next video. And I also have a request for you, can you make mysterious helmet, or something from a horror movie
No, I don't hate Star Trek- I am quite the TOS fan. First con I went to was a Star Trek con. I was 7, and I got a science officer badge for my hoodie. The con was only for the original series- it was the 70s! There was no Next Gen for another 10 years... :) I have some Star Trek plans for December.
I really like this video, the channel called I like to make stuff also did the version of this, though he used real wood and more metal as well as some 3D printed parts. Yours looks just as good and seems to be a lot easier to create, which I do like in appreciate
Good afternoon Odin. Another amazing build. I would love to see you make a prop from a cult classic, The Sentinel from the movie Phantasm. That movie freaked me out as a kid, but I absolutely love that series. Please please please make The Sentinel.
Solid build. After watching your build and the one I Like to Make Stuff did, I really kind want one...only I want it to fire Nerf high-impact rounds. What is the weight on your blaster, it seems like it should be ridiculously light.
great job! The Mandalorian is AWESOME. i won't link out of respect but would LOVE to hear your thoughts on my Mandalorian inspired rifle that is a working rifle.
That turned out great, your resin printer could have done a great job on some of those detail pieces like the grill and circular side details. I’m sure time constraints don’t allow for that much of the parts to be printed though.
Lovely. That looks superb. But it'll be a while before I attempt anything like that - not because I'm a wuss or anything, it's because I'm just incredibly lazy. I started a DL-44 and RoboCop gun (I'm making a full RoboCop suit - eventually!) about three years ago and they're still not finished!
Now you have to make the Mandalorian's helmet and armor.
There's all kinds of ways to make beskar'gam and all kinds of resources. It all depends on if you want to be an official member of the Mandalorian Mercenaries or not.
I want to a Mandalorian cosplay
... for your dog.
a pauldron would be in order
He will need some genuine beskar for that.
So good. Now I want to make one.
The stock of this blaster really reminds me of the Barbarella rifle.
ew
I did notice a kind of cockle-shell about it.
coincidence I think not
Adam Savage replicated the Barbarella thing on tested
Glad I wasn't the only one who thought that 😂 lol!

Odin you do cool props as a standart, but, man, THIS TIME YOU KILLED IT! Awesome job!
Thanks Odin for teaching me a lot about props! Once I get better at making them, I might apply for a costume and prop designer for movies or tv shows 🤷🏻♂️
Yes! Do it! Learn all you can, there is do much more I don't cover!
nice use of Rub 'n' buff!
Aye, will you do a Mandalorian Jetpack?
@@sirterrell04 Yeah, i'm working on a full costume for somebody.

I love Odin makes! He is very good at-*looks at Odin* “YOU ARE VERY GOOD AT MAKING AMAZING PROJECTS!!!!”
Glad I'm not the only one who noticed the Holiday Special connection!
Bob just posted his build... great to see different makers make the same thing. I love seeing the different processes
I’ve noticed that Odin makes he’s videos faster than before so good job Odin makes.
PLEASE MAKE MORE SW PROPS! I wanna see an E-11 from pvc and foam. That would be SO sick. You always do an AMAZING job. Thx for being AWESOME Odin!!!!
Great job Odin!

I’d love to see an Odin makes Mando’s helmet!👍🏼

I love your scratch built blasters. Its inspiring.
I've been watching a lot of Stargate lately and thought it would be cool to see a zat gun or Goa'uld staff weapon build.
finally, someone acknowledges stargate
Awesome you went to Galaxy’s Edge. I want to go there so badly!! Can’t wait for the Mandalorian!
You're Fantastic. I would love to see some more Star Wars Blasters from you.
Really enjoying all the alternatie "Odin Makes" logos to tie into the props! It's a fun touch to the videos.
Awesome work! Love the outcome and that you even included the part of the stock you messed up and redid in terms of paint. Sometimes I mess up on my own props, especially with the paint, but redoing it is always worth the extra work.

I think this is you among your top 5 or 10 builds, it looks really really good!
You are an excellent smith, Odin. I have spoken.
The blaster looks so cool! Very nicly done.
I just missed you Odin I was at galaxy edge celebrating my honeymoon the day before you made this video
99% of people get Disney+ just to watch the Mandalorian
tbh that’s the only major thing on there for the time being
I just wanna see Baby Yoda! 😍

Thank you very much for putting subtitles in Portuguese Brazil
Thank you Odin!
Outside the falcon, im jellous as hell!!! Another bostin Prop mate, nice one
It's beautiful!
Certainly is
This feel like I'm watching the TV show how it's made I love it.
This has gotta be my new favorite Odin Makes vid
Thank you for making this I'm going to have to try this myself. Great build!
Amazing build as always, sir. Your techniques are brilliant. Thank you!
It would be nice to see you make something from 2012 version of Dredd. Something like the helmet or the lawgiver would be so cool.
That looks sick!
OUTSTANDING!
I REALLY liked the weathering on the metal parts!
Oden is ready for the mandalorien! I like it and the begining! 😂👍🏻
Odin makes love you send a hug to Brazil
wow excelent piece of work great job

Im mad at youtube for taking so long to recommend this >:(
Hello Tuur! Long time no see. What's cool is now you have a lot of stuff to binge watch!
Thank you for listing the supplies you used! I might use the styrene to put the accessories on my mandalorian gauntlets! Right know they are just plain cylinder shaped
You are good at making these
Wow that turned out great!
Awesome video and great work. It looks like a modified Barbarella rifle. Looks great
Awesome job, friend
*Great! I hope you do the Mandalorian helmet soon.*
I see you like starwars
Good choice
I myself am a major geek
The prop I never knew I wanted to make until I saw this video
Looks pretty legit, as usual.
amazing looking!!!
Awesome as always, friend.
this looks awesome!
Finally a quality video
This is a great build video, you make it look so easy. This is going to be one of the hottest Christmas presents this year.
Who wouldn't want an electrically charged tuning fork? :)
Not me
Odin pleeeease can you make the scream canister from monsters inc
Wow this looks awesome
Amazing job!
I love this and I'm definitely adding it to my list of things to make
Can you do Kal's lightsaber From the new Jedi Fallen Order game?
Break Bi Proxy Which one? He should really do BD-1. 👍
Break Bi Proxy yess!
This gun looks cool
An interesting build..... Mine is a 3d print that has yet to be built but adding parts to it would give it some weight and make the prop more "used"....

You really like Star Wars I’m assuming because there are so many star wars builds

Great video, friend!
Great videos Odini think you should do a series and make the original robocop suit 👌
Bob from iltms just made his blaster, looks completely different.
Should mention, Bob is a professional fabricator, i dont know how familiar this guy is with fabricating
Plus Bob has a larger budget
Bob made his based on a 10cm large toy gun that he scaled up to normal size. I'm not saying this is better, but honestly, no need to compare them.
Remember my friend, this is how Odin makes
Hell yeah this is awesome
Being as it was batman's 80th a month or so a go, id really like to see some batman creations, maybe certain batarangs or makes for each member of the batman family
Nice video friend.
Keep up the good work Allfather and maybe you could build the Chirrut Îmwe's lightbow from the Rogue One that thing is just awesome
I have spoken
Would love to see you do Mando's pistol!!
I need to finish the Mandalorian cosplay I started.
I love your videos, I get alot of comments about how artistic i am and ask how i learned it because I myself am a cosplay/ prop maker, I just tell them that I learn by watching you. More Star Wars, Star Trek and Ghostbusters props 🙏

I have talked about it for a coupe of years, getting the chrome right is my main concern!
can you make misterio's helmet
He did
It's spelled Mysterio.
A fishbowl
just wear a fish bowl with some tin foil inside
Oh awesome!!! Can you please make the Mandalorian's helmet!!!??
You are king of the foam ;)
Solid build. After watching your build and the one I Like to Make Stuff did, I really kind want one...only I want it to fire Nerf high-impact rounds. What is the weight on your blaster, it seems like it should be ridiculously light.
I think we need a Mando helmet to complete this.
Props from the show "Smallville"
You should make Jane foster’s helm for love and thunder!
Have you ever made a classic storm trooper blaster?
great job! The Mandalorian is AWESOME. i won't link out of respect but would LOVE to hear your thoughts on my Mandalorian inspired rifle that is a working rifle.
You should make the Mandalorian helmet now to match the rifle. It would be a killer combo
Could you make a clone trooper helmet?
That turned out great, your resin printer could have done a great job on some of those detail pieces like the grill and circular side details. I’m sure time constraints don’t allow for that much of the parts to be printed though.
Nice build! How about the Martian EVA suit?!
Cool video you should make Okoye's spear from black panther next
Awesome!
Cool video, friend.

Maybe make just a plain revolver? I think that'd be really cool
Man can I pay you're that would save me a lot of time
Beautiful job
