+Fabio Yuiti Senoo true, but also considering Square Enix's recent obsession with slicing up games into smaller parts to sell off, the same would happen to 9 if it were to be remastered in the same fashion. I can see it now. First episode ends when you escape the Black Waltz on the airship, next episode in 4 months!
2024, 36 years old. And I still think this is one of the BEST RPG out there. PS2 hahaha. Feels being drawn to their fantasy world when you press START.
Honestly Zidane and Garnet is one of the best developed love stories I’ve ever seen in any sort of game or book. They compliment each other very well and had amazing chemistry. This game as a whole was just amazing. Bless FFIX
I love locke & celes from ffVI ( they're not exactly a couple but still ) , but zidane & garnet made me cry when i finished ffIX and saw zidane appears in the middle of the stage .
2024. Now I am married. I have my beautiful wife. Lovely 3 kids. I am a enough grown up adult. But I can't forget this master piece. It will be in my deep heart forever. This is not just a game.

Garnet: How did you survive...? Zidane: I didn't have a choice. I had to live. I wanted to come home to you. So... I sang your song. Garnet: Our song. *video plays*
@@dirtybirdperson4020 I realized Vivi died but I skipped over the part where it says the person was talking in third person to Zidane, so I thought Zidane was saying that the entire time.
howdareyou66 fucked up or not, it is still a story of love and even though I find it hard to admit it, it makes me happy when I here stories like the one this song is about
I think more than anything, it wasn't so much that the stories were well written, it was that the characters were developed well. Each character had a story that you would find yourself genuinely interested with. They were memorable and you grow to care for them, unlike the flat prototypical JRPG characters as of late.
howdareyou66 What final fantasy story isn't a clusterfuck? They all become ridiculously complicated and confusing towards the middle of the game and by the end, you're not totally sure what happened except that you saved the world from some bad guy with a rag-tag group of misfit friends. I agree with ***** that the reason FFs work is because (usually) the characters are so unique and have very engaging backstories that you really start to care for them. It doesn't matter if they are fighting some super complicated bad guy in some incomprehensible plot, as long as you get to keep moving forward in the story with your favorite people. Something that the more recent FFs seem to have lost.
I'm 39. Happily married for 9 years. Was in a relationship when we were 18, 19 years old. We have a beautiful daughter. She's 9. And this music means the world to me. Brings back so much memories.... 🌹😁😍❤️🌹
me too. this game was my childhood, my first final fantasy, whenever i hear this song , or garnets in game singing voice, her song which i hum to myself all the time, just randomly , thats the impact that game had on my life, :D but i feel sad when i hear this song, feels like the past was so long ago, thats why this games great, it really does capture the feelings of loss and war and grief, but also hope and love, and translated them superbly to a growing kids mind, with fantastic and pretty deep characters , but also very human characters all with their flaws and quirks, i really cant express the joy this game has brought me this will always be my favourite video game :')
I feel like this game was not only beyond it's time for it's visuals and storytelling, but it's moral message as well. The morals of this story are something many people haven't yet grasped. It's so profound, yet simple. Don't focus on differences, just love one another regardless of whether or not you agree with them or not. Zidane is a character I'll always cherish, because he showed us all what true compassion is by risking his own life to save Kuja. Thank you FF9 and this wonderful cast of characters for existing and touching so many hearts.
The most poweerful message to me hits me at the very endgame, the final boss is a manifestation of the flow of time and peoples spirits, a never ending ouroborous of energy that constantly spreads towards the heat death of the universe in a very real sense. It makes the case in this sentient form that nobody can win against it, it will always win, because it is the nature of time. and the response from the party is, okay, we are going to lose, lets fight anyway.
@@immortalwombat10 hahaha don't think there was any chance to run from a deity after waking it up anyway. Better to go down fighting for a cause than standing idle and forget what's important to you. But yea it has a funny spark to it for sure
Whenever I hear this song playing, I always miss my brother who died last 2014 due to lung cancer at the age of 26. We used to play this game over and over again when we're still young. I will always miss you my beloved brother, til' we meet each other again... #Fantasy4Ever
It's hard to believe that a game I played as a high school freshman in 2001 has influenced me so much. 23 years. More than a lifetime for some. Two Iraq deployments. College. Wife and kids. Career. Time travel doesn't exist, but this song is pretty damn close.
i shed a few tears after almost 2 decades of not seeing this. I hope youre all still around when ff9 renake arrives. 4 cds.. so 4 parts?? im down with it lol
Greatest game ever made. Even better the older you get because the theme of this game (love and true friendship) become even more special. Best characters, best music, best world...best everything. A true masterpiece.
Alone for a while I've been searching through the dark For traces of the love you left inside my lonely heart To weave by picking up the pieces that remain Melodies of life--love's lost refrain Our paths they did cross, though I cannot say just why We met, we laughed, we held on fast, and then we said goodbye And who'll hear the echoes of stories never told? Let them ring out loud till they unfold In my dearest memories, I see you reaching out to me Though you're gone, I still believe that you can call out my name * A voice from the past, joining yours and mine Adding up the layers of harmony And so it goes, on and on Melodies of life, To the sky beyond the flying birds--forever and beyond So far and away, see the bird as it flies by Gliding through the shadows of the clouds up in the sky I've laid my memories and dreams upon those wings Leave them now and see what tomorrow brings In your dearest memories, do you remember loving me? Was it fate that brought us close and now leaves me behind? * Repeat If I should leave this lonely world behind Your voice will still remember our melody Now I know we'll carry on Melodies of life Come circle round and grow deep in our hearts As long as we remember
@@BoydTheMilkmanX Because FF9 is returned back to the roots of what FF was made for. Unlike 7 and 8 that completely strayed from its FF roots. Which fans are you referring to? Definitely sure that's not the majority, that also same goes for the fans that hated FF8 too.
***** I completely agree. RPG's have completely fallen on their face these days. I have been looking for a good one for such a long time, and after going back and playing the classics, it makes me truly appreciate how great they are.
One of the last final fantasy experiences truly deserving of the title. This was my final fantasy, and I'm not sure that this magic will ever be recaptured in a gaming experience. This was more than a game, it was a symphony of all the emotions and adventure we yearn for in a life well lived. Simply put this was a masterpiece. thank you FF9
U wanna know why I love this game so much? It teached me a lot about life, back when I was a kid. My family could never pass these teachings. This game is timeless and has so many teachings. They did an incredible thing with this game! Now I'm 32 and I still go back to ff9 from time to time. I'm forever grateful!
Back when video games were true ART. Those of us born in the 80's and early 90's are so lucky to have grown up with games like this. It gives me chills when i go back and explore the music of my favorite games. Chrono Cross/Trigger FF VII, VIII, IX, X etc.
just finished the game a month ago, replayed it after long time. such a beautiful ff title, - dark storyline, complex yet entertaining - beautiful characters… Vivi, Zidane, dagger, eiko, steiner, even quina - beautiful soundtrack (you’re not alone, song of memories, etc) - tons of quest and mini games
"you’re not alone" came at exactly the right moment for me, when i felt a bit alone. Got me right back up and his friends coming to help in that corridor reminded me of my own friends
IX is not only the best Final Fantasy ever, it's the greatest GAME ever, period. Nothing will ever come close to holding such a special place in my heart as this beautiful gem.
FF9 is a unique masterpiece and the purest form of J-RPG. It's the moment when Final Fantasy became a mature product, mature enough to create a "tribute game" to the entire series yet with a storytelling and a character development never seen before. The innocence of the design mixed with the philosophical questions raised by the plot makes it that much more enjoyable. This song fits the game so well, it was already melancolic at the time as the whole game was like a retrospective to every final fantasy so far but now that the game is almost 20 years old it really plays with my feelings.
+youwinoneinternets Unfortunately, the people who made Final Fantasy, and many other Square series great are no long gone with only the mediocre ones left. If only Sakaguchi, Uematsu, and the others had stayed.
time changes FF15 main story is awful but the road trip and the brotherhood element was really as good as any old ff ! I spent 60 hours doing the side quests feeling I was on a large scale adventure with my brothers in arms much like I felt when I was travelling the world with balamb garden and my SeeD buddies ! Do not be too negative !
Not only is FFIX my all time favorite Final Fantasy game but this is also my favorite video game of all time. It's not even my first Final Fantasy game (That honor goes to FFVIII) but to me, this is the most influential as I was growing up back in the days. The story, characters and the lessons in life that they teach you in this game helps me growing up. The emotional impact of FFIX remained even today.
I just realized something. ViVi's biggest fear was his mortality, and despite this he: -helped save Garnet from the Evil Forest. -helped Freya defend her homeland. -helped everyone stop the flow of mist. -saved humanity by taking down Kuja at the end. -fought the literal personification of his fear, and won. Absolute king.
Vivi's biggest ever fear was being so coward to let Kuja make other living beings suffer for slavery and imposed violence. He likely sacrificed himself knowing it by stopping mist flow.
FF7, FF8, and FF10 couldn't do it, but this one made me cry and feeling very nostalgic, whenever I watch back the ending or listening back to this song. That moment where princess garnet threw everything else just to meet zidane at the ending was just so... perfect.
Love, hatred, sorrow, and happiness... These things are the melodies of life formed into a harmony by ourselves as the composers and as the conductors. Life is just so beautiful.
I'm usually quite stoic, but I cry every single time I hear this. This was the first time I went through the comments. Man, I cried even harder reading how much this game moved a whole generation and that I'm not alone.
I was 11 months old when this game came out so i never heard of it until a few years ago. I wasn't sure I wanted to give it a chance because it was so old and i wasn't into retro games at the time, but I am so glad i gave it a chance. I love this game so much. The story, the characters, the music, the combat, the world, etc. I just truly love everything about this game. Easily one of my favourites of all time only behind the Final Fantasy VII games. But this one will always hold a special unique place in my heart that only it can hold.
FF IX is last Final Fantasy game on PSX and the last FF of 20th century. Its most wonderful game I've ever played:)long liveFFIX allways in my heart.Wonderful song
This song is like listening to your childhood alone. Remembering all the silent moments that made it wonderful that no one else will ever share with you. A silent beauty we all own but never share. This song means the world to me but me only. Farewell childhood, you meant the world to me
@@QueenGrezelda Childhood can be very lonely but I think games like this made it that little bit less lonely. I remember feeling so closely for all of the characters and their journeys. I think it's something we've lost over time.
"Im my dearest memories,I see you reaching out to me though you're gone,I still believe that you can call out my name" it's almost 2020 and still got that feeling when you listen to it, a true melody of life. forever and beyond.
FFVII remake sounds cool and all, but I just want FFIX. Deep story, sad, joyful, Amazing characters, beautiful music, funny, FFIX is just perfect. MY favorite game of all time!!
+Oswald's Depression Felt about the same way ! But it was still amazing... It is the only game I remember where I cried at the end. Truly I wanted to follow those characters like forever. It's a shame my PS1 passed away. I must play this game again...
@@TheMysterDe Just based on what people think. But if it just her imagination, then what the heck about Vivi 's children watching this show, Quina too, Freya, Amarant, Eiko. They are not imagination of Dagger when this last video introduce them so clearly before Dagger hug Zidane scene. They both watched this show and see Zidane so Zidane is not illusion.
I listened over and over again this song when i was in senior high school. Now this song become my Son's lullaby every night. my voice is terrible, but not when I sing this song, cause my heart does - sing this song. Never ever failed.
In scenes like this. I don't cry. I sit and watch speechless, with an almost emotionless expression. But that lack of emotion actually shows a lot of emotion...
My father died today, he loves this song and knows when I play it on our TV when I was in HS and those request music video channels. He also knows the MV and remember this song as the song with the rat tail guy (Zidane…ahahaha sorry Zidane I never corrected him) Papa, I love you. This song will not only remind me of the game I loved but the best man I know.
So sorry for your loss. I also often listen to this when I grieve for my brother who passed. I used to watch him play it when we were kids, and he would read to me the dialogue. Never knew this game would end up making me so emotional

Ff9...can't believe it that I actually fell in love with the Princess and always imagine myself as if I'm Zidane..those were the days of glory...the childhood that today's generation will never experience. The music especially did cause a great impact on the players of this game.
Man, the end of this game _wrecked_ me. And when this song started playing as it zoomed out from Alexandria, it wrecked me even more. I didn’t want the journey to be over yet. I wasn’t ready to part ways with everyone. I’ve never played a final fantasy before, but I’m SO glad I started with this one. I’m replaying this again, even though I just beat it tonight.
I’ve bought final fantasy 7, 7 remake,8,10-2 and 12 since I beat 9 and have put anywhere from 10 to 25 hours into each. None have even came CLOSE to the same feeling that this game gave me from the start. The original 7 has been my next favorite, but it doesn’t come close to the charm that 9 has.
Final Fantasy IX brought back all the charm from ffVI that had been lost in 7 and 8...by far my favorite single player final fantasy since 6 on the snes.
Im looking back some Final Fantasy games, due because they made a remake for FF7. Cant help it but im reminscing my childhood memories , i played FF 7 up to FFX-2 . Cheers!
I love this song but the part that gets me teary-eyed is the Lyric, “If I should leave this lonely world behind. Your voice will still remember our melody. Now I know we'll carry on.” It so perfectly encapsulates the theme of the game.
I am thankful for having experienced Final Fantasy IX as a kid. The game, the story, the characters, the music are nothing less than extradiordinary fantastical and wonderful.
I experienced the same thing with my Felix 🥺 It hurts so much...but this game taught me a valuable lesson on appreciating the life spent with our loved ones, even if they aren't human 2005 - 2023 but always in my heart ❤
I love that even as an adult, listening to Final Fantasy's compositions puts me in a state of nostalgia. I feel warm and happy remembering these games, the scenes, and the lessons they taught me. Final Fantasy was more than just another video game to pass the time - it was a form of story-telling art that actually pulled at your feelings. Lessons came from the triumphs and failures of the various characters that can be applied to real life. It's a big part of why this series will always be special to me and many other fans. 😊
morbentfel I think without this video the song would be less sad. For some reason when Eiko plummets down to Garnet to save her and aid her in summoning Alexander, something only they are capable of doing, it's a really sweet moment. I don't think enough people care for the Eiko character. I'm very fond of her.
My favorite game of all time. I love every character. I love the story and can relate to it, because I also searched for my "Home", even though I was home the entire time.
This game is almost 20 Years old... Oh my god... After playing it 18 years now i still find more stuff i never found in each playthrough.. Probably the best Final Fantasy ever made! pure nostalgic!
I still remember when I played this game as a child. I cried a lot at its ending, and even more at Vivi's death. I don't know what it is about this game and its music; both this one and VII always made me cry
This was actually my ex husband and I's song. We both really really loved FF9. Ive been watching a playthrough while I do my work from home so it brought back quite a few memories. Its funny though because the lyrics actually make more sense now that we're divorced haha. But yeah, great game, my top favorite of all time. Hoping to get my hands on the art book! Come on make a remake! id LOVE to see it!
@@shadowman7408 Just because two people get divorced doesnt mean that they don't love each other. Sometimes people realize they were better as friends, or the split is very civil and they continue a friendship.
If i ever have a son or a daughter the first thing i'll do when they come of age is play through Final Fantasy IX with them on my ancient PS1. I'll sit back and watch them play through all the moments and experience all the memories i had been through when i was their age with a tear in my eye.
suddenly this melody is on my head. wow its 20 years pass, i remembered my old friend really love this game, sometimes i just come to his room to watch how he play.. lol. I think this is one of the best game, a great game with amazing song
Like it seas on on the box. Without it question , the best in the series. Takes the best of the old mixes it with the best of the new. This is what a final fantasy game should be. Magic, monsters and keeping technology simple to not take away that reel fantasy feel
I like this medieval setting: old style castle, first gen steam engine, old style clothes, ancient combat weapons, monarchy(even it is not suitable for the modern human civilization but who care, it is game), magic and creepy monster and so on.
Crying every time with this video thinking about the time I spent on it, how beautiful it was even having a slightly new concept (compared to other FF) and how much has changed over years for me. If a videogame can get you emotional there's indeed something special in it.
FF9 is not just a game , it defines what “Life” is as a whole! It cover every expect of things in life in the stories for example love , hate , anger, friendship, loyalty ,betrayal , loss , family anything you name it. It the most perfect game ever made together with the theme song it like heavenly match .
This game has held up better than most due to its unique graphics. This games story may have gone off the rails a bit in the end, but it has some of the most well written characters in the series. Each is relatable and has to contend with problems we all have issues with sometimes. One of my favorite things about this game is that even though each character finds their own way, it's not all happy endings for everyone. Even the main villain is a character that you just can't help but feel a little sorry for. Each individual party member feels like their own person and not just an extension of the main character, I like each for different reasons. I can't say the same for the cast of every final fantasy game. I love final fantasy 7 and I can't wait for the remake, but this in my book is the best final fantasy because it resonates with me. Just seeing all the summons in action is amazing and it awed me when i was a young boy playing this game for the first time. They gave the summons some dimension as super powerful beings and not just summons that show up momentarily and deal damage to your enemies. This game gave the final fantasy series so much depth and character, I hope that future generations continue to enjoy it as I have.
In my opinion, this is the best FF ever made. It has a great story, great characters, great soundtrack, and it gave me laughter and hitting me with feels at the same time. It doesn't need a remaster version,i'll let this last in my memory. Dem feels :')
When I played and finished the game in the early 2000s, the song has since been engraved in my head and is personally my favourite song of all-time. I watched this video in late 2006 and come back 15 years later to listen to it again. It's that great and memorable, still my favourite final fantasy game as well.
I love this game from the beginning until the end, i remember spending many hours just to finish the game and all i can say is that this is one of the best final fantasy game I've ever played, the soundtrack is also really good. If you don't appreciate this game then you don't have a taste at all.❤
My favorite numbered Final Fantasy game, the story was pretty solid, and the characters were really well developed. Vivi would actually have to be one of my favorite Final Fantasy characters out of the entire franchise.
More than 15 years have passed and this video is still here, thankfully. Back in 2006, I thought the lyrics were beautiful. Now as a 29-year-old, I find these beautiful AND extremely relatable.
FF7 is gonna have a remake. I wish FF9 would have too. T_T
+Gin Freecs I don't I wouldn't want them to add Voice actors this game is perfect the way it is now.
+Gin Freecs Nah I don't think FF9 is a game that should be remade even though I liked it nearly as much as FF7. It feels right the way it is.
I'd be glad if FF8 and FF9 could have a remake....
At least we'll have a remaster XD
FF6, 7, 8, 9
+Fabio Yuiti Senoo true, but also considering Square Enix's recent obsession with slicing up games into smaller parts to sell off, the same would happen to 9 if it were to be remastered in the same fashion. Back when the story was the most crucial thing to get right in RPG's. :(
howdareyou66 fucked up or not, it is still a story of love and even though I find it hard to admit it, it makes me happy when I here stories like the one this song is about
When you still remember the story line and the name of each character after 12 years. The story is done right ( or incredibly wrong lol ).
I think more than anything, it wasn't so much that the stories were well written, it was that the characters were developed well. Each character had a story that you would find yourself genuinely interested with. They were memorable and you grow to care for them, unlike the flat prototypical JRPG characters as of late.
howdareyou66
What final fantasy story isn't a clusterfuck? They all become ridiculously complicated and confusing towards the middle of the game and by the end, you're not totally sure what happened except that you saved the world from some bad guy with a rag-tag group of misfit friends.
I agree with ***** that the reason FFs work is because (usually) the characters are so unique and have very engaging backstories that you really start to care for them. It doesn't matter if they are fighting some super complicated bad guy in some incomprehensible plot, as long as you get to keep moving forward in the story with your favorite people. Something that the more recent FFs seem to have lost.
you can say that again
2024. I'm 35 years old, Happily married and I'm still crying every time i hear this song. I love my childhood.
I'm 39. Happily married for 9 years. Was in a relationship when we were 18, 19 years old. We have a beautiful daughter. She's 9. And this music means the world to me.
Brings back so much memories.... 🌹😁😍❤️🌹

There is a lingering sadness that i feel whenever i hear this song. I really miss my childhood
ahh samee
Ditto.
Completely agree.
your not the only one wish i could turn back the time again
me too. this game was my childhood, my first final fantasy, whenever i hear this song , or garnets in game singing voice, her song which i hum to myself all the time, just randomly , thats the impact that game had on my life, :D but i feel sad when i hear this song, feels like the past was so long ago, thats why this games great, it really does capture the feelings of loss and war and grief, but also hope and love, and translated them superbly to a growing kids mind, with fantastic and pretty deep characters , but also very human characters all with their flaws and quirks, i really cant express the joy this game has brought me this will always be my favourite video game :')
@@yeisonmejiasuarez6762 And always remember: You Are Not Alone
The most poweerful message to me hits me at the very endgame, the final boss is a manifestation of the flow of time and peoples spirits, a never ending ouroborous of energy that constantly spreads towards the heat death of the universe in a very real sense.
It makes the case in this sentient form that nobody can win against it, it will always win, because it is the nature of time. and the response from the party is, okay, we are going to lose, lets fight anyway.
@@immortalwombat10 hahaha don't think there was any chance to run from a deity after waking it up anyway.

Greatest game ever made. Even better the older you get because the theme of this game (love and true friendship) become even more special. Best characters, best music, best world...best everything. A true masterpiece.
So true... What makes it such a masterpiece is how it can relate to our life.. Those common themes that mean everything
the game has nostalgia is one of the strongest emotion in the game, so that makes it even more lasting
So much yes.
I’m nearly 40 years old, still replay this on my PS4. Totally love it.
Alone for a while I've been searching through the dark
For traces of the love you left inside my lonely heart
To weave by picking up the pieces that remain
Melodies of life--love's lost refrain
Our paths they did cross, though I cannot say just why
We met, we laughed, we held on fast, and then we said goodbye
And who'll hear the echoes of stories never told?
Let them ring out loud till they unfold
In my dearest memories, I see you reaching out to me
Though you're gone, I still believe that you can call out my name
* A voice from the past, joining yours and mine
Adding up the layers of harmony
And so it goes, on and on
Melodies of life,
To the sky beyond the flying birds--forever and beyond
So far and away, see the bird as it flies by
Gliding through the shadows of the clouds up in the sky
I've laid my memories and dreams upon those wings
Leave them now and see what tomorrow brings
In your dearest memories, do you remember loving me?
Was it fate that brought us close and now leaves me behind?
* Repeat
If I should leave this lonely world behind
Your voice will still remember our melody
Now I know we'll carry on
Melodies of life
Come circle round and grow deep in our hearts
As long as we remember

I think Final Fantasy IX defines what the "Final Fantasy" is all about.
How so?
If the real logic dictates, you are wrong. The real Final Fantasy shouldve ended at Final Fantasy I.
That's what Sakaguchi said after this game came out.
@Andy Rushmadhy How? When it came out most ff players hate it. I fail to see how the most divisive game in the franchise is what the series is about.
I wish final fantasy games were still like this... I'm over the graphics thing I just want great gameplay and story like these classics.
***** I completely agree. RPG's have completely fallen on their face these days. I have been looking for a good one for such a long time, and after going back and playing the classics, it makes me truly appreciate how great they are.
You could not have uttered a truer statement my friend.
So well said, it's a shame it went so downhill after X, but it makes us appreciate these games so much more
John Yentes Try Dragon Quest VII, a very fun RPS with similar graphics and a wonderful storyline. Similar combat system too, but its HARD!
John Yentes Sorry, Dragon Quest VIII, FYI It's rated the #4 best game of all time.
Melodies of Life and Eyes on Me are two of the most moving songs I have ever heard, and they both come from a video game franchise...
Chrono Cross/Trigger FF VII, VIII, IX, X etc.
story was just amazing back then,, with each characters personality and backgrounds.. storyline back then really gets you into the game..
just finished the game a month ago, replayed it after long time. such a beautiful ff title,
- dark storyline, complex yet entertaining
- beautiful characters… Vivi, Zidane, dagger, eiko, steiner, even quina
- beautiful soundtrack (you’re not alone, song of memories, etc)
- tons of quest and mini games
please help me find video of the song Proud of you add final fantasy animation
Hervé De Rinel yes for me ff9 was the last true ff. I still want to play 10 and on years later might get a ps vita for the 10 and 2 bundle
paladineXD If you grew up with the PSX I strongly advise you to play ff15 !
And now we have FFXV not even a J-RPG -_- Im honestly starting to hate SE now. Ever since Squaresoft merged it's slowly gone downhill.
This song gets more powerful the older it becomes. It's like pure nostalgic melancholy in audio form.
This is a piece of art. This song, the soundtrack, the whole game. The best FF, the best video game ever created. I LOVE FFIX!
The people who put these games together were gods gift to mankind.
ViVi's biggest fear was his mortality, and despite this he:
-helped save Garnet from the Evil Forest.
-helped Freya defend her homeland.
-helped everyone stop the flow of mist.
-saved humanity by taking down Kuja at the end.
-fought the literal personification of his fear, and won.
Absolute king.
All hail the King
Vivi gang!! He'll always be welcome in the Hufflepuff house.
Vivi's biggest ever fear was being so coward to let Kuja make other living beings suffer for slavery and imposed violence. He likely sacrificed himself knowing it by stopping mist flow.
The real reason why Vivi is the best character of all FF series.
He lived a full life
This is a real medieval Final Fantasy and a Final Fantasy in it’s purest form. Best game ever. Hope the possible remake does it justice.
It's not just a game. It's art
this is the highest form of art possible ♥️

I wasn't sure I wanted to give it a chance because it was so old and i wasn't into retro games at the time, but I am so glad i gave it a chance. I love this game so much. The story, the characters, the music, the combat, the world, etc. I just truly love everything about this game. Easily one of my favourites of all time only behind the Final Fantasy VII games.
I finally came around to playing through this game, I'm so glad I did. It's one of my favorite video games of all time now.
This is what I'd consider a perfect game. It was such a great experience. Definitely worth every tear shed
This was also my first FF. Remains my favorite after all these years.
Man... the story in this FF is really really romantic and embedded deep into our memories...
I'm a 31 years old man now and this song still brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it
……. 🥺
Final Fantasy IX brought back all the charm from ffVI that had been lost in 7 and 8...by far my favorite single player final fantasy since 6 on the snes.
FFIX came out when I was 18, I'm now 36, been playing this beautiful game for half of my life, still not tired of it.
My cat passed away yesterday, this song came to mind immediately. Rest In Peace buddy, the pain is over ❤️
Sry bud, I guess u gave him a good life so be Proud of that ❤
Tanks
I'm going through the same and yes, this song also came to mind. Two year later I read your comment and relate
I experienced the same thing with my Felix 🥺 It hurts so much...but this game taught me a valuable lesson on appreciating the life spent with our loved ones, even if they aren't human
2005 - 2023 but always in my heart ❤
And so it goes on and on 25 years later and I'm still listening to this song
I love that even as an adult, listening to Final Fantasy's compositions puts me in a state of nostalgia. I feel warm and happy remembering these games, the scenes, and the lessons they taught me. Final Fantasy was more than just another video game to pass the time - it was a form of story-telling art that actually pulled at your feelings. Lessons came from the triumphs and failures of the various characters that can be applied to real life. It's a big part of why this series will always be special to me and many other fans. 😊
One of the best endings to a video game, and this song put it into legendary status.
This song really made me cry when I heard it first time
how come
morbentfel I think without this video the song would be less sad. For some reason when Eiko plummets down to Garnet to save her and aid her in summoning Alexander, something only they are capable of doing, it's a really sweet moment. I don't think enough people care for the Eiko character. I'm very fond of her.

pobre eiko, tenia un amor no correspondido

To everyone saying FF9 deserves a remake, I say it's perfect as it is.
Yep they will just fuck it up
Aside from loading and its system actively encouraging padding out the battles to regen health yeah

I'm not fond of what they did with the story of FFVII Remake so I honestly hope FFIX remains untouched.
What a wonderful song! A real chef d'oeuvre that transports me in time and emotions... forever and beyond.

Finished the game yesterday, beautiful ending.
If i ever have a son or a daughter the first thing i'll do when they come of age is play through Final Fantasy IX with them on my ancient PS1. I'll sit back and watch them play through all the moments and experience all the memories i had been through when i was their age with a tear in my eye.
Any kids of mine NEED to play this game.
The most beautiful sadness that doesn't make you sad. Keep fantasying, FF.
suddenly this melody is on my head. wow its 20 years pass, i remembered my old friend really love this game, sometimes i just come to his room to watch how he play.. lol. I think this is one of the best game, a great game with amazing song
I don't care what anyone says, FF9 is objectively the best FF ever made.

@@namefirst4108 love the contrast!
The best FF is the 1st you've made. For me it's the VII even if I love them all!
I respect your opinion and expect others to respect mine.

Back then, in the era of PS1, these scenes look so magical to me. They still are, to me, I hope to the others as well.
@@hurotiz Well said mate, cheers!

Ya I went nuts when I would see a cutscene, they were such a treat back then... couldn't get enough
Hey who is that character is they Tifa and cloud?
Final Fantasy IX will forever remain the best experience I had as a kid. 20 years later, I still love the game. And this song always makes me cry 💛
Every October I came back to this song, remembers me to a person I loved and miss everyday, but also I found peace in it.
You can't find nowadays games, make you feel nostalgic like this.
Music has no right to be this nostalgic.
In my opinion, this is the best FF ever made. It has a great story, great characters, great soundtrack, and it gave me laughter and hitting me with feels at the same time. It doesn't need a remaster version,i'll let this last in my memory.
Dem feels :')
Two of my wedding songs.
Melodies of life.
Eyes on me.
When I played and finished the game in the early 2000s, the song has since been engraved in my head and is personally my favourite song of all-time. I watched this video in late 2006 and come back 15 years later to listen to it again. It's that great and memorable, still my favourite final fantasy game as well.
5:25 The moment when she throws her tiara away and desperately runs to him. That shit gets me every time.
Out of all the final fantasy games, this is the one that touched my heart the most.
