Kimura from standing, silent video. AKA over the head throw with reverse key lock grip.
    Throw with kimura grip.
This video is silent, but I clearly point out common mistakes. In Sambo it’s used as a counter for leg attacks. The beauty of the throw is that it leads straight to kimura submission.
In the end I ask you if you like the format and whether it’s not useful.

Sambo is a versatile sport because it has large amount of techniques in standing position as well as on the ground. Why can't you throw an opponent who's equal or stronger opponent? There are two main reasons. First - you're setting up and doing the throw wrong, and the second you're predictable and everyone knows your moves. In both cases your technique is flawed and something has to be changed. All progressive MMA fighters are incorporating sambo submissions. It's easily explainable due to limited time on the ground ( 2-5 seconds to catch and another minute to complete ). Sambists research the fastest and most effective ways to finish for years. Why does everyone want to finish fast? It's an opportunity to finish in style and preserve your energy. I know the taste of quick finishes like no other. 25 years in sambo, 13 World Championships in which i earned 2 golds, 4 silvers, 1 bronze and most importantly 90% of my victories happened before regulation time expired. I spent 20000 hours

Excellent! I've used that lock in a standing straight up position in order to immobilize an arm with a gun and an arm with a knife. I was standing in line at a small store (RiteAid) and the guy next to me, in front of the line, pulled a gun on the cashier with his right hand. I stepped in front of him, grabbed his wrist with my left hand and slid my right arm over his gun arm, then under the arm and grabbed my left wrist. My back was to him, literally my back to his chest. I pushed his wrist to the counter dislodging the gun, spun clockwise and dropped onto my back which pushed his face into the floor. This took all of 5 seconds. Knives are a lot easier. Once they get knocked out of the hand, I let go and roundhouse them in the head. Fast as lightning, tough as a box of rocks.

Great instruction. I always consider how techniques apply in street fights. If one were to use this move in street combat, you would basically have to break the other combatant's arm. If he tapped and you actually let go, he would use the opportunity to attack.
