As a Jiu Jitsu guy moving to freestyle wrestling I find I have a natural tendency to relate to these kinds of throws over shooting in for legs, thank you from UK.
I love your videos, and the thorough explanation. I am new to grappling so it's nice to learn. please keep up the great work, and thank you for the English dub as well.
Just the part about levers by itself was amazing. I was wondering if you could turn this into a tripping throw by just blocking his legs with the inside of your right foot after you spiral him instead of doing a sacrificing throw?
Please, when you can, do a video on harai goshi/tai otoshi combos. My harai is sloppy and I end up usually going for an even sloppier tai otoshi. Spacoeba bolshoi!

@HAYAO LEONE yes my friend I agree with you. .. I was only kidding about it ... because we know that inside grappling arts there are a lot of cults and Colors; almost like a "Gang" atmosphere (If you aren't doing Sambo, you aren't with us , (If Sambo was easy it would be called jiu-jitsu ) , (If you aren't a jujiteiro "jiu-jitsu person" then you are not, one of us) , ( If you don't speak jiu-jitsu, then you don't speak our language) , ( 4 you, to be one of the Tribe , you must bleed jiu-jitsu) ... And things like this, go on and on through out the World, one can see frases like those written above , in the majority of countries, you see them in T-shirts, in Europe, United States , Canada, Brazil, Australia, and we can see them also in Japan , China , Korea and Russia , go figure. .. Be well my friend. .. thanks for your thoughts
@HAYAO LEONE What I've come to understand is that modern jiu-jitsu, at least the system I've been practicing in Sweden, really suck at street fighting because it isn't the philosophy or the tradition behind it at all. Jiu-jitsu developed from ancient Japanese martial arts which mostly meant armored opponents, in which case, it would be futile to just hit and kick each other. Instead you have to heave, throw, wrestle and force your opponent to the ground where you can finish them off or subdue them. Because of your armor, you wouldnt have to worry so much about the hard ground yourself when preforming the techniques. When our modern jiu-jitsu practices and techniques were formed, much of the old martial art was adapted so practitioners wouldnt hurt themselves or the opponent (uke). Becuase of periods of demelitarisation in Japan. Jui-jutsu also has some techniques that's shared by karate in the form of kicks and hits which are combined with blocks takedowns, throws etc, especially in the more advanced grades. Karate actually developed from these old jiu-jitsu practices in Okinawa as a system and philosophy that exclusively dealt with unarmed combat (which lends itself to a more street fighter looking aesthetics) and was also practiced as a form of meditation and excercise in self dicipline, hence the choreographed moves in the kata. The sport also shared many techniques with judo, which also developed from jiu-jitsu but taking the complete opposite approach form karate, banning hits and kicks and instead became a form of standing and crawling wrestling for sport and play. At the budo club where I trained we would practice choreographed techniques with our "opponent" (uke). We would then compete together with our uke as a team to score points for how well and smoothly the moves were done. Sometimes we also wrestled from a crawling position on the mat, this time competing against one and other to put the other person in a holding, much like judo, but only keeping to the ground. Well, that became quite a long rant and explanation of the history, philosophy and modern praxtice of the art and sport that is jiu-jitsu... Hopefully you guys still reading this found it interesting and educating :)
@@amanduswestin9211 Maybe you should try to find a Gracie bjj gym. Personally I hate sport jiu jitsu for the same reasons --- it's made to win competitions that have rules and referees and opponents your size, not for self defense. A good self defense oriented bjj gym looks at things very differently.
@@MeanMug79 Never said I hate sport jiu-jitsu though. It just doesn't work well for self defence, since that's not the philosophy behind it at all. I think it's great that you can practice it without hurting yourself or other people and experience the historic throws developed for when the Samurai was battling hand to hand in armor!

People are stuck in the belief that BJJ is the best grappling style. Gracie cult is very vocal in the English world.

Judo and Sambo ❤💪🏻
your awesome
I’m gonna try this at my bjj gym
koshi garuma might work if he circles to get the under hook
Sehr sehr gute Techniken 🇹🇷🇦🇿
I noticed you don't use opposite leg for Sumi gaeshi like Judo. Is it preference or is it more efficient to use same side leg to leverage throw?
From the other leg it may be considered hikkomi gaeshi instead
Do the elbow option. Also please show some useful leg grab counters. No gi.
Ok i'll take your wishes
