I practice shuai chiao, and we call this "leg seizing"; it (and inner shoulder) were my favorite tournament throws. We don't go to the ground though, so the follow up technique is called "inner hooking," if he steps out of the leg seize you "inner hook" (behind his knee) his other leg. You can go back and forth from leg seizing to inner hooking until you get him. ;) Also, the grip I prefer is wrist and inside lapel on the same side: if he snap down that forces his weight to stay on the front foot long enough to get the leg seize.
You are a very good teacher. I had struggled with Kouchi Gari because I could not generate enough force or understood how to sweep people off the leg with it but now thanks to you I finally see how Kouchi Gari works. You are one of the best teachers I have ever seen.
After watching many video on this channel I must say, these videos are the best explained on RUclips a 5 year old could understand how to execute the moves after watching these! Very very well done sir!!! I'm a huge fan!!

far as military wise specifically hand to hand combat i would definitely think of going with russian hand to hand combat or one of the asian countries not america and thats where i live just being honest and going off what looks effective
