ITs important to mention that Solovair was the "Made in England" factory version for Doc's. They were their own entity but thats what they started as. So when they broke off they kept the more premium quality and builds but kept most of the same silhouettes.
When you initially wear the wallaby, the ankle buckling is real but it’s never gotten bad! After a month, your foot adjusts great. Def the most comfortable boot or shoe I own
id recommended the doc marten chelsea boots, specifically the horse leather ones, i absolutely love how they look w the no laces look, no yellow stitching, and theyre the most comfortable shoe ive ever worn. didnt need to break them in or anything
For years I've been looking for an alternative Blundstone/ Chelsea-type boots. I recently discovered the brand Canada West Boots and their Romeo lineup. Made in Canada(am from Canada), competitively priced with Blunds, and a seemingly high quality were more than enough reasons to pull the trigger on it. I'm stoked to put these boots on this coming fall/winter!
Notification gang PVV: I was afraid of dogs cause when i was 5, we were in greece on a beach and a dog barked at me (he was as big as me) i then slapped him and he ran away. I guess he learned his lesson. Well the next 6 years i tried to avoid contact with dogs.
I’m so so glad you mentioned the 2002R hiking version… I got them when they released and they are fantastic. A perfect light hiking/trail running shoes. I’m shocked they’re not more hyped
I've been a Solovair fanatic for years and it's nice to finally see them getting American fashion attention! After looking at them for a bit under a year I got the Solovair steel toe burgundy rub-off boots, and they're close enough to black to go with everything and colorful enough to make a statement, and the silhouette is amazing. Every time I've worn them they have gotten compliments, def my favorite boot. If you're looking for hiking, I love the Arcteryx mid gtx boots, they're actually amazing hiking boots not just for fashion but have a sleeker look, I managed to get some for under 100.
The way you talk about fashion is so...refreshing. I love your channel so much and I think you really stand out as a unique creator in this sea of RUclipsrs. Those red boots are so sick! and I really like the concept of #pvv ! my childhood fear was thunderstorms for sure! I was always convinced I'd die lol
As a tiny kid i had a nightmare about a flamingo that made me cry. Then years later i had another dream where the flamingo was back and i had to beat it to get my nintendo ds back and i did then played mario kart on it. #pvv
GroundCover pineapple boots silhouette was my favorite and love the sustainable material, but I was sad that the sole was just glued onto boot rather than having it goodyear welt or blake stitched for that price. Knowing that the sole would separate in the long run, I sold it.
#bootedup , #PVV | Something I used to be afraid of as a little kid was heights. I remember that there was this red & green structure at my elementary's playground that was fairly tall and kids used to jump off of it all the time. Seeing them do that, I wanted to do it too, but when I climbed up there I found myself stunned upon reaching the top and just stayed there. Unexpectedly, another kid just pushed me off, and fortunately, I rolled. It freaked my out, but it also relieved me of my fears afterward
As a kid I was afraid of storm drains. Even when I knew I wouldn’t fit down them I always felt like I was going to get sucked down into one and never be seen again. #pvv
Being a country kid it always cracked me up people bragging about the price of there sneakers because most decent boots are just as if not more expensive then
Everyone should own a pair of nice leather boots. They're timeless if you go at least a little conservative, super versatile, and are comfortable as hell and last decades if you save up and buy a good boot. They're like the pricier equivalent to a pair of chucks or a durable grey/black hoodie.
I personally love a desert boot. Super versatile and like a lot of the boots you recommended it can be dressed up or very casual without much effort. And as a youth I was afraid of leprechauns. Definitely saw the movie when I was a too young. No lucky charms for ya boy. I want me gold! Great work Drew! 🍁#pvv #bootedup
As far as the clarks I have a low cut pair and they aren’t the most locked in stability wise, but as long as you’re not hiking in them I think you would be fine. Thats never been a big issue for me.
Do you have any Cuban heel boot or cowboy boot recombinations cuz I can never find the right one. I’ve returned like 3 pairs trying to find the right one
I only have like 3 boots in my collection but I don't need more I got the YZY SZN 3 Combat boots, some Margiela Combat boots from 2017 and some SLP Wyatts🙏
The our legacy boots are part of my wishlist. I have been on the hunt for some nice tan/brown boots that will go with the light jean look and our legacy boots really hit that spot for me and that look.
Hey Drew it would be cool if you made a video about current trendy shoe brands, Asics and salomons and showcase specific models from the brands that are in trend and your favourites
i deadass thought chucky was in my vents in the bathroom or when I was in the shower when I was younger so I can say the same abt that being what I was afraid of as a kid
I recently got the 2016 reissue of the NB Rainier and it's become my favorite boot I've ever owned. I wish it had the classic embossed logo rather than the modern N logo, but it looks like ALD has some pairs of their own coming out that have the classic logo. I'll be all over those on release and I cant recommend them enough.
Fun video. As a kid Jafar freaked me out. but only after I actually saw him at Disney world. The actor had a Jafar mask that didn't move and he didn't talk which was sooo creepy.
Rite now I have a pair of Uggs, Nike black ACG Goadome, Nike Foamposite ACG Goadome, Nike Air Force one Gore Tex, Nike SFB 2 Black Gore Tex and Nike SFB Camo Gore Tex. Thursday boots brown. Looking to pick up a few Timberlands this winter. All my boots are still new never worn.
great vid as always! very surprised that SLP wyatts weren't mentioned (unless i missed it). they've been cemented as one of the greats for over 10 years in the menswear space.
If buying new Solovair only cost 10% more than docs. But Solovairs never go on sale like docs. Docs if you can find them on sale and Solovair if you're buying full price.
My favorite boots for the FW are always like heritage workwear type of boots or classic military style boots. My collection ranges from red wing moc toes to grant stone diesel boots. As a child I was also terrified of chuckie lol
#pvv I had a few lol, slenderman, jeff the killer, jigsaw. also somehow got it in my head that the burglar alarm had someone watching me in it lmao. My gf had a fear of c02 poisoning in her sleep, but also had a fear of leaving her window open which would have fixed the issue lololol
Bro already started writing a comment in favor of Solovair but you did have em on herr. Had a pair of low tops for a year, I can wear them for a whole day’s trip, I’ve even played sports in them (since they were the only ones I had with me and they’re just that great). Not to mention NOAH has given them shine recently. Quality is crazy
#pvv used to be scared of the “monster under your bed” that’s at the very beginning of the nightmare before christmas, dude was super creepy. the yeezy nsltd boot is super interesting to me for some odd reason. they are kind of like uggs but the shape of them is really cool to me. might have to bite the bullet and pick them up
Check out some of the Pacific North West companies. Nick's, Wesco and Whites are a few, they're very tough boots. Check out Rose Anvils channel also, he cuts in half a lot of boots to show you what you're actually spending money on.
I think the Groundcover boots (the first rendition) probably have to be my favorite silhouette on a military-style boot. But I heard the leather wears out super fast due to the type of material.
My favorite boots are just old combat boots, come are terrible but some are gorgeous and jsut takes some digging to get. Also i was scared of that scene from how to train your dragon where the big dragon int he first one burst out of the lava and ate another dragon.
I enjoyed the video! I just started my journey into other forms and styles of footwear and I really like Thursday Boots. Very good quality and have tons of styles :)
#pvv there was a part of the sidewalk on our block where cockroaches would swarm up out of the cracks at night. lifelong fear of cockroaches. I've been really interested in the black Virón apple leather 1992 boots. more than I wanna spend right now but the design is crazy
Hey Drew could you make a loafer styling video? I wanna convince my mum (and myself) that they aren't old man shoes and they work with streetwear just as well as Ivy. Also, surprised to not see any black Chelsea boots in this here video
ITs important to mention that Solovair was the "Made in England" factory version for Doc's. They were their own entity but thats what they started as. So when they broke off they kept the more premium quality and builds but kept most of the same silhouettes.
And that the "MIE" were the only version of the Dr.Martens for the first few decades
When you initially wear the wallaby, the ankle buckling is real but it’s never gotten bad! After a month, your foot adjusts great. Def the most comfortable boot or shoe I own
Dude. Moonboots come around every few yeas since the 70's! Man, I'm I ever old!
id recommended the doc marten chelsea boots, specifically the horse leather ones, i absolutely love how they look w the no laces look, no yellow stitching, and theyre the most comfortable shoe ive ever worn. didnt need to break them in or anything
The pineapple leather joints add such a distinct but subtle variant to the fit. Ima fan.
Underrated fall boot: Nike Lahar Low boots.

I just got some 8890 Red Wing Moc Toe boots and I really like them. They're pretty versatile!

I can’t believe the Red Wing Moc Toe or the Blundstone 550 were not mentioned
A pair of buttas will always be the iconic boot
the Dr. Martens 1460 Pascal Bex are a good alternatives to regular 1460s with softer leather that wont kill your feet
The way you talk about fashion is so...refreshing. I love your channel so much and I think you really stand out as a unique creator in this sea of RUclipsrs. Was just thinking of making a video about shoes, your video has given me some ideas for that! :)
Palladium Baggys. I wish they made them in leather but the canvas ones are dope too.
As a tiny kid i had a nightmare about a flamingo that made me cry. Then years later i had another dream where the flamingo was back and i had to beat it to get my nintendo ds back and i did then played mario kart on it. #pvv

I used to be afraid of the movie Coraline, absolutely terrified, for some reason the button eyes got to me

My favorite boots rn are a pair of FW 13 SLP Python Wyatt’s I recently copped. They look so good and I just love the outfits I put together with them
I've never had any issue with my ankle buckling in my Clark's, the heel is decently stiff so it does have some support
is it better to buy a pair on the low or new??
Pvv is the best thing of my day, every day

Yes, I love we I see a Drew Joiner video it just feels great. Thank you Drew for the refreshing content #PVV #bootedup
As far as the clarks I have a low cut pair and they aren’t the most locked in stability wise, but as long as you’re not hiking in them I think you would be fine. Thats never been a big issue for me.

You have to talk abiut Thursdays if you're talking boots: great price, great quality, versatile and easy to style, they're pretty great!
My vibergs are my favorite boot. A bit out of most people's budget but top quality on traditionally made boots. Feel like tanks on feet.

Wasn’t feeling any of those brands but loved the video. Keep doing what you do.👍

I like Corcoran jump boots they last forever and there kind of cheap when you find them, But you have to break them in for awhile.
great vid as always! very surprised that SLP wyatts weren't mentioned (unless i missed it). they've been cemented as one of the greats for over 10 years in the menswear space.

I think the Groundcover boots (the first rendition) probably have to be my favorite silhouette on a military-style boot. But I heard the leather wears out super fast due to the type of material.
