@@aisuro thats... the same just different silhouette. What I mean is I barely see skinny jeans here. and people here find it tacky to wear skinny jeans
PVV - I like to watch trend videos mainly from a place of curiosity. It's also cool to see if anything already existing in my wardrobe can be utilized or worn in a way that is on trend. Like my buckle boots that I always wear regardless are now fashionable again lol.
Once people in Atlanta was were wearing timbs during the summer in 90 degree weather, I already knew they wasn’t going nowhere. In NY it’s a classic staple here. I can’t wait for the colder months to see them styled, cause for the past few years uggs have taken over.
I watch trend videos because from my experience, the trends can vary from group to group. There are some that tie together or is simply weather based like dark denim, suede, and leather is always in for Autumn. I listen in as studying for my business so I know what to pick up and sell.
PVV - I spoke with an older family member who said that they used to look through fashion magazines to figure out what was “in” and what interested them. I think for me, the reason I like these trend videos is that they are a great way for me to see what the latest in fashion is, and if there is anything that I might want to wear. In a way, it’s just the fashion magazine of our era
Hey Drew - regarding you wanting to get the microphone out of the way: you should look into getting a shotgun microphone, or more specifically a small diaphragm condenser or SDC. They are basically small tube-shaped mics that can be mounted up above your camera frame pointing down at your chest to pick up your voice as it projects upwards. These would be held totally out of frame but should still get nice clear audio out of you. One I know off the top of my head is the Shure SM81, but most SDCs should use XLR and connect to the mixer the same way you have your SM7B connected, so you should really just need a mic, something to hold it, and a stand to mount it. #pvv
I really love seeing other people's unique takes on fashion, especially when it comes to styles I wouldn’t usually consider for myself. For instance, I wouldn’t personally go for about 90% of the items mentioned in this video, but I totally get why others would, especially for a different aesthetic. It’s inspiring to see such diverse perspectives. Thank you for always sharing YOUR passion for fashion 🙏
PVV- I used to live in NYC and have moved to the west coast. Fashion has always been in my DNA and I still enjoy showing up, whether it’s school drop off or going out. I pick and choose what’s good for me from all different sources to make it my own. Love and respect for all you do 😎
Dudes need to get on the engineer boot wave, they feel similar to the trendy women’s buckley slouchy styles but for some reason they feel so classic for menswear. In general I wanna see more 30s-50s era workwear for men (especially railway worker styles!) and I feel like the lobster/fireman clasp thing is foreshadowing that type of trend
#pvv It’s honestly just cool to learn about the different reasons people wear what they wear. Anyone can say that they have their own personal style that they’ve completely put together themselves but the media is literally inescapable nowadays so whether you follow trends or not you’re still influenced in some way, consciously or subconsciously. Even when people think they’re being completely original, they’re often drawing from cultural references, past trends, or even counterculture movements. It’s fascinating how personal style is this mix of individuality and collective influence.
#fffl #pvv fall/autumn is definitely the best season for fits! What I enjoy about trends videos is that they give inspiration to adding to my closet. They make me think about different combinations of clothing I could wear together and yet other ways to express myself through clothing! Sometimes, I get inspired to add a certain piece to the wardrobe that would bring together a more complete outfit for the season. I love a change in seasons because it gives me a chance to refresh in all aspects of my life: outfits included!
PVV answer: as a person who really loves experimenting with clothes and seeing unusual fashion out on the street I care about trends bc I hope to see stuff in the "whats trending sphere" that is truely "sth new" or "creative" or "outside of the box" ... it can be sth old styled in a new way or a clothing detail that was hyped 50 years ago and that the fashion world forgot about or I do not even know existed. So I always watch these videos bc I hope to be flashed with sth new and exciting to adapt to my wardrobe or just enjoy some creative styling to awe over. Its the promise of a fresh and creative wind in the everyday fashion world that sometimes playes a bit too safe in my opinion.
PVV: i think one of the reasons why people like trends videos is cause it seems like it´s the “easiest way“ to look more fashionable/stylish. Even tho a timeless wardrobe (i know that from your videos) is the way to go. So i believe were just missing information and wanna fit it by wearing whats trendy but lots of people are probably not aware of it. Sending love from hamburg, germany.
Ppl in Canada know both, but fall is by far more common. In fact, I can't remember the last time I heard someone say autumn. Probably region dependant tho. On the fence about barrel jeans. Kinda makes ppl look bow-legged. Each to their own tho. PVV - I like to watch them for potential fresh ways to wear things.
I love love love barrel jeans!! I think of them as a way better version of mom jeans. What the mom jeans couldn’t bring the barrel did. I mean mom jeans were just skinny jeans but cropped and with more place to the hips but the barrel jeans? Way roomier and more flattering. God I love them they fit so well✨
#FFFL #PVV being in industrial / product design, it’s always cool to see what everyone else thinks what the trends are going to be for the present and the future!! Also, I think it also creates some kind of community of people who know / want to know / predict what’s gonna be hot and not hot for the time period 🤞 !
Firstly, the reason why I watch trend videos is that it’s like watching weather forecasts to me. I may refer to it when I unbox my winter clothes. Secondly, maybe insert a B roll of your outfit to show you incorporate the trends into your personality style if you like.
PVV - I personally watch like 80% of your videos but what I enjoy the most about watching your trend videos specifically is that it's sort of like a report card of what you are seeing people wear out in New York which is a totally different environment from my own (California Coast & Sierra Mountains). Plus also I might move to NYC maybe who knows in the next year or so.
#pvv Where I'm at currently, I'm just trying to create the foundations of a wardrobe to improve my confidence. Due to that, I'm much less likely to actually try out trends. However, I still like to look at them from afar to get inspiration or insight into my own personal style. Great vid man
I think people like videos about trends, because the everyday person are usually average in their approach to everyday fashion and so every John and Jane Doe want to be in the know, whether it's for better social acceptance, dressing for self confidence, or because they are interested but don't know where to start. This is a great medium to inform and put people on game. P.S. you need to either move where you camera is or figure out a way to angle your mic to the right ( the viewers left) so you can have more room to show your fit. Love your vids. Peace and Love J
From my perspective as a viewer, the videos covering trends are highly digestible. I notice a lot of fashion commonalities throughout my fyp and insta feed. The more I'm seeing certain pieces and "cores" the more likely they are to become popular. I watch the trend videos to seek confirmation for my own observations as well. I think people also appreciate the trend videos the same way one enjoys watching the news or recap content. Covering trends helps funnel the busyness of fashion into sections I can quantify and analyze. Trends are often easy to access/obtain, hence why they're popular. I adore so many avenues of fashion but as my life stands it's not sustainable to touch base with every outfit and piece I fall in love with. Trends help find things accessible to me. Those videos serve to bridge that gap of disconnection I sometimes feel.
I love your trend videos as you always highlight the less obvious trends and it always inspires me to look for ways to style my stuff in new ways. also gives me an insight on what to invest in long term.
I work at Nordstroms, and I enjoy these vids for my own entertainment purposes, but also to stay up to date so I can help guide my day to day customers.
Puma's getting even bigger this fall/spring is one of my bets. Been seeing a lot more of them in Barcelona (which I think is a city late to fashion compared to northern europe)
I like trend because I like lists and I feel like most people do. It’s the easiest path to stay relevant without doing the research. It also helps me know what to avoid, as I do not want to look everyone else.
Canadians, as always, say both ‘fall’ and ‘autumn’ in my experience. I’m from Ontario, but it’ll vary across the provinces which is a good rule of thumb for Canada-we’ve got weird lingo everywhere.
PVV: I love trend videos because I like hearing peoples opinions and also I feel like they are good for inspiration because I can hear about things that are new. For example, I like boots a lot so I’m excited to hear doc martens came out with a pair cause they lowkey cute af.
#pvv i find the trend videos interesting just to keep up, also as maybe as a marker of the types of things not to invest in if they feel like they’re only going to be a microtrend. also just from an observational perspective, it’s quite funny noticing people in Soho (both london and NYC) seemingly absorb these videos within the matter of days/weeks and all be dressed with hints of each video from various creators and influencers
PVV- I personally like to see trend videos in general to see what's trending for different people since there are some trends that everyone kinda notices and other trends that might be a bit more niche and personal to each creator's interests/algorithm/interests pretty much !
#PPV - as someone who tries to gauge future trends, it’s dope to see someone I respect in the space give his opinion because of the value it carries. Plus, being in different states, the trend content is used differently too. Audio vs fit problem, you should maybe add a fit check or breakdown at some point in the video. Or use some of the intro segment to showcase the fit indirectly.
I don't know if anybody else feels that way or it's just the way i am orienting myself style wise but I think flared pants and overall 70's style pants are being more and more styled of course with a 2024 twist to it, maybe they are making a comeback.
Agree re the new balance! Those shoes are so nice and look sporty but seem to go with everything when I see them. As for the #PVV I think I find trend videos so interesting because its interesting seeing trends cycle from social media through to stores through to people wearing them out in the streets. I also like to know what is overly trendy to either avoid it or engage in it!

pvv reply: I do not wear the latest trends nor am able to keep up, but I do occasionally dress up and observe from the sidelines. So watching your trend videos is like watching a very fun but informative news report. I get enjoyment from the rhetoric and being able validate what I see and sometimes participate in. keep up the vids!
On point with the fall boots. I'm predicting that Rain boots will be trending where we already see the ladies pair them with shorts and coats but it be cool to see men rock it
#fffl #pvv i feel like i love looking at trends and watching these kinds of videos so i can see if there’s anything im already implementing/can implement into my style. also always interested in seeing what people around me are wearing and not necessarily always following it but just feels good to be in the know!
I definitely gravitate toward trend videos for inspiration. There’s usually a wide range of aesthetics covered by people who are talking about trends so it’s not just me seeing what they put on their body if you know what I mean. Also I’m less inclined to follow someone else’s fashion sense when introduced to trends like this.
PVV - First of all, this is one of the first times i've seen one of your videos, and i must say that i really enjoyed it! Rn i'm trying to find out what i like when it comes to style, and i think a lot of young people are looking for the same as me, as a part of finding out who they really are as a person. I am having a hard time finding what i really like, and thats why i watch trend videos. But something i've found interresting is, that trend videos can be very different and really depend on, who the creator is. You might see a guy who's saying something, and then another guy saying the complete opposite. But i'm happy that i've found a creator who seems to dress a lot like i want to, so keep up the good work👍
I loved your video on trendy vs. timeless fashion! I'm trying to be more mindful of what I add to my closet because I noticed I kind of lost my sense of personal style and was just following trends (and found it expensive/exhausting). So I'm here trying to learn about the trends so I'm more conscious on what styles/items I am attracted to and purchase! And also so I can decide which current trends are timeless to me or worth partaking in even if they're not. Love your channel! #FFFL
Pvv- I like what’s trending videos bc I actually want to see how many trends I am following with or without knowing and I also wanna have a general idea about current fashion trends and maybe follow a trend if I like it . Ty for the video btw ❤️(fffl lol)
#pvv if you get a boom mic you can pop that on top of your camera's shoe mount. However, it will likely sound worse if your room isn't treated. The alternative positioning, which is more involved but much better, is to get a mic stand and position the boom mic above you just out of frame pointing towards the floor. I think it's worth investing in this setup but it will take some trial and error to get just right! Regarding trends, I like looking at trends as it helps inspire what I want to add to my wardrobe/uniform. I almost never latch on to a trend completely but it's fun to take bits and pieces of what cool stuff is happening and incorporating it into my own style
FFFL - I like trends videos because it gives me some inspiration for different pieces overlooked for the season!. Also the jacket is fire! I'd recommend setting the mic up possibly by your computer, and switch your camera angle to face the other way, depending on the light sourcing (you seem to be getting natural light from the window) #PVV
PVV - Thanks for the great insights. Personally, I don't mind the mic being in the shot. But if it bothers you, trying using a lav mic and clip it to your shirt
I think when you're wearing not much clothes it looks better to have only a couple of jewelry pieces on and when there's a lot of layering it looks better to stack!
im from tokyo and ive been watching you for a fat min and tokyo's summers get unbearingly hot ash so i actually think that stacking accessories in the summer is even more pronounced than in the colder months.
It’s tough for me to see what’s actually happening in the fashion world because of where I live… Nashville. There’s no fashion here. But NYC has so much more. That’s where actual stylish fashionable ppl can shine. I don’t give too much of a dam about trends since I set them instead of following… but it’s nice to see what’s moving and developing.
I love your videos bro! You have taught me so much about fashion and leveling up my personal style. It was beautiful seeing a picture of mom. Also, I am not sure I am doing the lobster clip jacket either. I actually decided this year to get a Schott Perfecto 118 that I will be wearing all fall and winter. I am nervous because this will be the first time I ever do this but that is part of experimenting and growing. Also, as a born and raised New Yorker (you feel me?!) I have never stopped rocking Timbs since I was a kid. In my opinion, Timbs are going to become an urban classic. Keep on making great videos. Much appreciated! 🥋🤓🙏🏽
To answer your question at the end, statistically fashion consumption is higher than ever so technically speaking no i dont think fashion trends have slowed down. Saying that, i think this might just be more so for the typical clothing consumer and not those that actually have an interest in fashion. I think in 2024 there has definitely been more of a focus on finding quirky trinkets, jewellery, accessories that are specific to the person and curate a unique style. Like you mentioned in the video, bag charms, which are typically complied- from what I’ve seen- of like stuff found at thrift stores or miscellaneous trinkets. I think for those tapped in, shopping second hand or finding and saving up for grail items you’ll wear continuously has been more of a focus and hope this way of shopping trickles down to the more average consumer! I imagine it will over time especially with this years trends expressing a need for more unique/personal styles
Trends are cool but as far as boots go, my attention goes to heritage boots. I know Tims are more accessible but I’ll put a pair of Visvim boots against timberland all day plus I’ll keep them forever
I like to watch trend videos, especially as of late, because I want to learn more ab current fashions and such, I also just love seeing all the outfits and clothing items, it helps inspire my own fits (Also you should do fit checks every video, to show off the tuff fits) #FFFL 😈🙏
Canada says autumn but we also say fall. Taught as autumn in school but spoken as fall in public mostly but tbh it depends on the Canadian you talk to like “zed” and “zee”
PVV For me its important to know what is trending in order to respond to the trends. Maybe i will buy into it or just find alterations of the trends, but long story short its i don't think its the best type of content (compared to yours for example) but it is necessary for me
PVV: to avoid these pieces as being on this list means they have a short shelf life. Additionally, I want to see which pieces I’m feeling and if I got “got” by the algorithm/ advertisements / system
#ppv watching videos about trends gives me new insight into who might be popular or even introduces me to new things I never heard about. I think it's most interesting when it's what someone would like to see more of. In a sense, just being to hear someone's opinions and takes on things. It's also super interesting to see things that weren't popular become popular, yet see how the silhouette is given nuance. With where skirts or dresses over jeans was something I didn't think would become so popular. I remember when I did it as a kid and it was seen as weird, and even watching people's opinions on the disney stars wearing skirts/dresses over jeans. With the examples you showed though, there's definitely a nuance to the silhouette. It's more balanced since it plays with wider shapes and textures. It's interesting seeing what changes in things that are brought back into rotation
I believe that whether someone incorporates trends into their style or not people naturally gravitate towards topics that are in the moment. If that makes sense?

PVV - I love watching trend videos to see how I can style pieces I already own.
I agree about the cores! I noticed there hasn't been a big trend recently. Last one was probably office siren from what I have noticed
I feel the FFFL vibes. I'm in Phoenix, AZ where it's hot most of the time. I love the short window of time where I can layer and do fall fashion. 💪🏽🏆
But i'm happy that i've found a creator who seems to dress a lot like i want to, so keep up the good work👍
Love clasps and buckles on jackets! Have a Craig Green one from AW2017 and it always gets compliments.
FFL, i like to wear my lighter color denim in the fall still. but contrast it with darker tops
#FFFL
Also LOVE that you mentioned the Martine Rose Nike Shox - I noticed this and found it underrated too!
I actually think that in the summer, jewerly is huge because of the lack of clothing and ability to layer clothing, bracelet stacking is your bff.
PVV - trends are only fun when you get there early to ride the full thing, so I look for trend videos to try and catch stuff earlier int he cycle
I’m wearing Abercrombie. Destine to become trendy again
Pvv- I like what’s trending videos bc I actually want to see how many trends I am following with or without knowing and I also wanna have a general idea about current fashion trends and maybe follow a trend if I like it . Ty for the video btw ❤️(fffl lol)
You have a great sense of style Bro. Have been a fan of your tour vlogs for sometime now. Great video and analysis. Keep up the awesome work!
Great insight as usual mate!
PVV - Thanks for the great insights. Personally, I don't mind the mic being in the shot. But if it bothers you, trying using a lav mic and clip it to your shirt
Drew is doubling down on the leopard print!! He's doubling down!
I think when you're wearing not much clothes it looks better to have only a couple of jewelry pieces on and when there's a lot of layering it looks better to stack!
Timbs have always been in style and never went away. Especially in NY..
im from tokyo and ive been watching you for a fat min and tokyo's summers get unbearingly hot ash so i actually think that stacking accessories in the summer is even more pronounced than in the colder months.
I can watch your videos at 3.0x speed and it is still perfectly coherent
PV lets me know what shapes and colors will be most available, I can then go through my closet and plan outfits.
I love you for using Autumn 🤝
#FFFL I think French chore jackets will become very popular, maybe not this fall, but later this winter I think they will grow on the community.
8:34 i don’t think canada has a autumn
We do but it’s basically your winter
I like to watch trend videos, especially as of late, because I want to learn more ab current fashions and such, I also just love seeing all the outfits and clothing items, it helps inspire my own fits (Also you should do fit checks every video, to show off the tuff fits) #FFFL 😈🙏
Canada says autumn but we also say fall. Taught as autumn in school but spoken as fall in public mostly but tbh it depends on the Canadian you talk to like “zed” and “zee”
finally time for more layers … 🙏🙏🙏
Yess
PVV For me its important to know what is trending in order to respond to the trends. Maybe i will buy into it or just find alterations of the trends, but long story short its i don't think its the best type of content (compared to yours for example) but it is necessary for me
trend vids are nice cause they slightly help to detect upcoming trends.
Ummm in NY/NJ, Timbs will always be in style. 😂
Yeah I feel like they’re a staple of the culture there
PVV. Checked trends like the weather. Neither live up to expectation, but give me an idea of what to expect
PVV: to avoid these pieces as being on this list means they have a short shelf life. Additionally, I want to see which pieces I’m feeling and if I got “got” by the algorithm/ advertisements / system
Fall fashion for life !!! 🍂🍁🍃
"OHHHHHHHHhhhhhhkayyyyyy.... bye guys" LOL
PVV I’m just here for every Drew Joiner video
I believe that whether someone incorporates trends into their style or not people naturally gravitate towards topics that are in the moment. If that makes sense?
Blundstone boots are fantastic for all
pvv - I'm always on the lookout for something fresh, and you have an awesome way of presenting it to us
