The fans gave up on it first and then came crawling back when they released the "Next" update. At this point working stubbornly on the game has worked well for them, at worst they might need to release a sequel just so they can refine the game engine a bit more and hopefully deal with any of the current issues the game is facing.
They said they would not make a sequel to no mans sky. If they were going to, i would have been happy to have it happen before waypoint, when they had to increase minimum specs lol prolly not going to happen unless they're still a strong company in 20+ years when next gen gaming calls for a nms remastering
@@codypirate6744 Honestly....I hope they're still around and if not a sequel to NMS, another space/exploration game similar to NMS set in the same universe, but farther into the future.

@@MaxRamos8 Sure they can. Steam is an application that is MacOS compatible. The games you buy and download there are separate applications. Steam is just the launcher.

It's funny, No Man's Sky was dogged on at launch, being called a "cash grab," yet it's the one game where the continuous updates don't come with microtransactions and other cash grab bs. Keep up the good work, HelloGames!

Interesting. Mac was promised way way back pre launch. I remember being very disappointed when plans to launch on Mac were abandoned. Nice to see that the promise was kept

Thankyou for the Mac port! My Mac is too old sadly, I don't think I can update to recommended OS version, but I appreciate this news anyway, and when I update to a new Mac at some point in the future I will definitely be purchasing this game! (Again, as I do own it on console.)

I bought a ps4 way back when just so I could play this game. Back then, mac was the only computers my family had for whatever reason. It’s good to see this game being opened up to a new audience of gamers
Playing it on the M2 Pro. I am really astonished on how you managed to make it run so well on this chip. Constant 60 FPS on high settings without any lagging. Big Love!

So to anyone just now seeing this trailer, I tried this on a Macbook Air M1 with MetalFX turned to Quality, and not only does the game run great but it looks beautiful. HG is practicing black magic or something for how well this game runs on the Deck, Switch, and MacOS

Cross save, still doesn't give the ability to transfer my legacy ps4 save to my series X console, sadly.. But other than that, great work bringing NMS TO JUST AS MANY DEVICES AND CONSOLES AS SKYRIM

To give you numbers, the entire macgaming (125k members) have been waiting for it ! We’re so pleased. Personaly I’ll finaly be able to play on Pc, mac and xbox series so wherever I am, I can play it !
If HG's office would explode development would stop and nms would die, but otherwise they'll just keep going i guess
