what we have now is 2 kinds of hip hop. real authintic hip hop and what i call R&B RAP in todays rap we dont have MCs just like the brotha in the vid said we have a bunch of huslers that have taking over the cultur
Or-& just my own take on things-perhaps Hip-Hop as we know/knew it has really had its run as a ny type of dominant music genre & will never really have the same (kind of) appeal no matter how much talent is injected into it. Reasons:(a) since it is (today) a very narrow musical art form in that culture defines its depth rather than vice verse (eg: Opera) (b)Hasn't yet to found its own level of 'genius' as any standard of music itself (eg: Kanye) I don't think Hip-Hop is dead; its just evolving.
the only reason I disagree with u is because,hiphop is alive and well....Tru hiphop will always be underground...step up yo underground hiphop and u'll see that it's still alive and well.What u see are the scabs and sores on the body of hiphop.very visable but not the death of it.....1 luv
