    I recently put the Limited Edition Copperhead 10 with 3200kv motor in my new Wendigo. The goals of installing the Castle Copperhead system were to get better smoother acceleration from a dead stop, and to get better low speed control. Both goals were met easily: with a 14 tooth pinion my Wendigo now has both great slow speed crawling and still has good top speed. The Wendigo is much more versatile now: it can be used as both a crawler and a rock racer, depending on where I am and what I feel like doing.

    If not, all good.. just seemed after a few views it was a slight... Awesome vid Francis, epic. Looking forward to a solid bash here in Syd cos I've been flat out with work.. tip to whoever is thinking about buying the copperhead 10.. it doesnt fit well at all on a vs4 chassis.. im completely at a stand still... the fan needs to be removed and it needs 90 degree posts.. the bullet style ones on it shoot your motor leads straight up and the interior hits it with no clearance..

    I have the copper head 3200kv in my Redcat Wendigo and love it but for a Christmas gift to myself I am thinking of getting something for my TRX4. I am trying to decide between a copperhead 1800 or 2200kv kit or a hobbywing Fusion 1800kv. The rig is just used for crawling . What is the better choice ? A lot of my friends say fusion and attest to its durability but I am not so sure. $30 more for the copperhead but only having to replace a motor or esc rather then both seems worth it to me .

    Do you think this esc could be used in an ebuggy on 4s? I kinda want to try it with hobbywing stopping production on the XR8 sct esc. They were great for 4s buggy and truggy with a small footprint and only costing $120 you couldn't beat it. Now hobbywings competition esc has gone up to $220 or more. I'm thinking about trying a hobby star 150 amp esc that is only 120 on eBay. Thanks

    For me i will avoid castle creation, i have a mamba x with 1406-3800kv combo for scx10ii, look great but the switch/sensored connectors are not water proof, after a year i try to clean up the wires with zip ties, soldering inside the red the circuit board loosened (wiggles) and shorten the unit, the esc still have power but heat up really fast and sound funny, i stop using it, I have much luck with hobbywing, to me they are much better.

    • @mickd8188
      @mickd8188 3 года назад +3

      They are both different, not 1 better than other. Castle esc's can be used with a variety of motors. The hobbywing must be used with an axe motor.
      Castle has more punch and versatility.
      Hobbywing smoother and superior drag brake and has Bluetooth standard.
      Programming via computer typically with Castle, Hobbywing via App and your phone.
      Really depends on what you're after.
      Cheers 👍
