These days it’s still tough to justify $130 for an ESC + an $85 motor when the $150 Fusion Pro and the $79 Fusion SE are out there. Yes if you are into running 4S you have to but a 2700-2850 KV motor for a crawler on 3S is perfect in my opinion
Yes, the Fusion Pro will change the world for sure. And you have it right. If one already has motors sitting around then a great ESC is needed. 4s is key here. High KV is actually necessary with 4s since that just amounts to ludicrous speed and loss of control. 4s on a 1500kv motor deliver incredible control and punch that even the Fusion can't match. Heavy rigs too.
I think it's influential. Once someone does it around here, especially around competition, everyone turns. 800mah 4s is a secret weapon. Battery weight nothing but has boundless power.
I run 4s and Holmes puller pro 2700kv. I like this setup because it has far more power than any of the hobbywings. They just don't have the power of a good motor. The FOC fools people into thinking it's powerful, when really its just cruise control. 4s and 2700-3100kv, then you can gear down and have tons of control. Plus I do love running small lightweight 1000mah batteries and still getting good runtime from them. The new fusions are great for their small size and clean wiring when you need it.
It sure is! Exciting times for sure. This year, RC companies are gonna get hungry with the recession and they're going to innovate and market hard with great products IMHO.
Man you can tell how excited you are for something like this and I am too but they're smaller ones he's like he has a little bit more issues I see great result of the bigger one
Yes, I have been waiting for Furitek to get into the 1/10 game. These guys have really burst onto the scene with some impressive electronics and aftermarket addons, and maybe the Best 1/24 RTR on the market.
Running the copperhead in both of my Vanquish, but not happy with drag braking (spoiled by AXE FOC), and I could probably dial it in better. I am building a rail for competition and I think this is going to be my Secret Weapon.
I may have missed it in the video, but there is no mention anywhere of water proofing and water resistance. From the looks of it there may not be anything and on the website there is no mention of it. Without waterproofing or water resistance this could be a non-starter for some users.
Another great, and very helpful video, always so informative. Man, just when you had me sold on the Fusion Pro, out comes this ESC that has really fantastic features (brushed, brushless, sensored, unsensored, etc.., opening up so many possibilities), and it has really good modulation capabilities. I love the Hobbywing Axe platform, the Axe in my Gen8 Axe never ceases to amaze. So, would you recommend this product, paired with an Axe 2300, or the Fusion Pro in a TRX4? Both options seem to be so solid for my intended uses.
Great video, my friend; I will wait until someone makes a waterproof version. Thanks in advance / Joe P.S. Please include things like who makes the rims on this rig in your description above.
Cool but but I'm a 20/20 guy brushed holmes hobby crawlmaster and a 1060 lol...but hey can we talk about rainbow 🌈 wheels on the vanquish rig where u get em brother?
These ESC's get hot just "idling" there's no way it can be used in a basher and live for any extended period. I went through 1 in my 5lbs TRX cheater rig after about 12 runs, the replacement was ran twice before being sold and burned up the first time out in a 4.5lbs SCX10.2. The only good thing i can say about Furitek is the customer service is very good. As for the Lizard 10, I'll wait till they're revised further.

@@RCReviewChannel maybe it’s regional. Only outrunner folks around me run 4S

@@RCReviewChannel good information here...

Great video sir! The continual advancement in RC technology is crazy!

That locked brake seems like what I need for my bomber. The HW 1080 won't keep it stopped with a Crawl Master 550 10T
Yeah it's gonna be key for heavy vehicles.
That’s a great ESC.I like how it allows you to go really slow and fast.I’m always watching your videos so I can learn more about the RC world.

The lock break feature seems pretty handy

I just checked in with them and it is not water proof unfortunately. Next version will most likely address this.
All those motors I replaced with a Fusion now have a purpose. Very nice!
Nice!!!
I wonder how well one of these matched sets would perform in one of the big Tamiya semi trucks.

Great video. Which motor do you choose in the app whith your HH ?
I want to change the drive shafts in my K10. Any suggestions and or links would much appreciated! Thank you 😊
I absolutely love those wheels on that truck do you recall what brand they are and where you got them I would love to pick up a set or two
They are boom racing

See lots of reviews talking about this running hot and even overheating in some cases during normal use. Have your experienced this?

I want a set of those wheels! Where can I find them? I have a trx4
The tech coming out is amazing. This may be a little overkill for trailing. Lol
Yeah, overkill for crawling but delivers a crawl to bash range!
Thanks you. Great informative video!
welcome
If you use that esc and a outboard motor will it cut out the sound the motor makes
outrunner? I will try that. That is very cool. I know Furitek makes outrunner motors and they're darn quiet.
@@RCReviewChannel thank you
What wheels are on that truck? I want some
What wheels r thay
Just pu ta lizard pro in my UTB18. Amazing!
I have burned two variators, it is very poor quality, the fusion I have since it came out and it still lasts
It always overheats
But it’s not waterproof 😢
You are right. An it's not simple to wrap this in a bag or box.
You running backwards.
I’m first woot woot
winner winner chicken dinner
wow they cant get it right in 1/28 scale so why would we think they could a 1/10 scale? and their customer service sucks as bad as their products.
