So basically, this show is everything that made Wheeler Dealers great, without the fluffy annoyances. Loving it!
It's all the stuff we wanted to see more of on wheeler dealers.
The 20 minutes at the end of each episode where they "test drive" the completed car (and Mike blabbers on like an idiot) is a waste of my life. I fast forward through it every time.
@@dstructo Yes I don't miss Mr. Obvious showing the improvements Edd did to the car to a prospective buyer.
And by fluffy annoyances, you mean Mike!!!
Well said
Edd has many skills but the greatest is that he’s a great teacher. I’ve learned so much from him over the years and saved myself so many headaches just by listening to what he explains carefully. Watching Edd is like going to the Open University of car maintenance.
This series is, by far, the most satisfying friday night show on youtube. Edd, i salute you
....VICE GRIP GARAGE 🤘🏼
Or, to watch a real pro: South Main Auto Repair. Much more to the point, with a bit less gabbing :)
Edd, this is what drew in the majority of the Wheeler Dealer audience, Keep it up son!
Not wrong, Wheeler Dealers was 99.9% Edd's talent, it was total pants after he left. It's great that he is making content again.
The best bit about wheeler dealers - Edd China in his workshop. No nonsense
Everything I loved about Wheeler Dealers.....and all the things I hated about it removed!
Does the thing you hate about it rhyme with Bike Frewer? :-)
Spot on there buddy Its the real world of car repairs and I tell you what who would want tackle that lump on TV edd that's who 🥺🤣
@@featherstonehobbies he’s a true professional and a gentleman, too
@@ezicarus8216 I watch on my pc and my browser has a RUclips ad blocker installed. No ads!
It's nice to be able to finally watch an episode of wheeler dealers for the full 30 mins 🤣
Honestly, you’re the only reason I watched Wheeler Dealers. Glad to be able to see you and you’re style of repairing. Got a follower for as long as you produce your videos.
This video made me think.. You know, if I was a millionaire I'd pay Ed just to make this show. And to get it at least towards 3 episodes per week. We all missed you Ed!
So wait, Edd has his own channel and nobody told me? This is the holy grail.
Normal service has resumed. Edd is back in his workshop! ❤
As in Ed's case, you know you're in the right job, when your love, joy and enthusiasm, is both contagious, and tangible !!
To be honest the most impressive thing about this series is that Edd has found a car lift that can fit him underneath it comfortably
That's one big lift !
With a RR on it too!! 😄
Samaa mieltä
It’s got a pit beneath it for half of his legs
😂😂😂👍
Great having you back mate, I used to love wheeler dealers until you departed and now it's like strawberry's and cream minus the strawberries. You made that show in my opinion and are an exceptionally brilliant and talented gentleman. Keep doing what u do.
The one thing I love about this video is all about edd and no Mike spoiling the program
I quite like them both. Different people coming from different angles but both have a similar passion. The past is the past!
Was just thinking exactly the same thing. 👍
Edd is dedicated to bespoke workmanship no corner cutting. Mike is literally a Wheeler Dealer.
@@danhudson4614 It was a team combination which worked well for a number of years. Well done to both.
@@mgjohn8534 Yeah totally life is way too short to hold grudges. People move on either back them or don't no need for hate its pointless negativity!
EddChina and his orange dress code is a quality benchmark. Only 10 seconds of video and I'm happy. Hello from Italy
I cannot explain how happy and excited I am to have Edd back and helping us all out.
@Uncle Joe Yeh it's too slow... drags the problems out too long
Best part of Wheeler Dealers, crystal clear narrative and both educational and entertaining with no smarmy remarks. Brilliant, well done.
Ed is the Tony Hart of mechanics,,, all round lovely bloke, super talented and willing to share with others without big reward.
A few people know that what Edd is doing, involve a lot of dirty work and also a lot of issues to solve, but those things are not appearing on glass. So, all my respect and consideration for his effort to keep us beside him and his Workshop Diaries. Just only wait to see next episode !
There’s a serious, yet casual, unaffected nature about Edd’s approach to doing what he does - and it’s refreshing to see... His ability to laugh at himself certainly wins me over, as well - and when one path leads to a dead end, he’s always got another ready to explore... Never a dull moment here, and so much fun to be able to come along for the ride... 👍🏻
None of the fake drama you get on those fucking awful American shows
Edd is like most self taught professional UK Technicians. I know a few like him. Always a joy to watch.
@@IDK_Mr.M Ant and Fuzz are also very good.
Love you showing the fights that happen when working on junk Ed, the one thing that really makes tv car shows crap is basically nothing ever goes wrong. Pleased you didn't have the show edited in full on tv format, this series will go on to be massive imo mate and good luck.
Am I the only one excited to see Edd back to working on cars. Its like he never left.A warm cup of tea and Edd on my screen weekend sorted
No you're not. It's great that he's back.
Wow ! U have REALLY short weekends...did program is only arf hr long !!! Unless ur gonna ⌚ it on a loop 🤣
@@balwinderdosanjh1360 yup binge watching all the video's.Being a car guy my self watching these videos.Really makes me happy.
How great is it to see Edd back doing what he does best: expert tuition without being patronising - and no unnecessary distractions. How we've missed him :-)
Another brill episode love how Ed treats his viewers as adults and doesnt explain the basic things and spends more time sharing his knowledge. Thanks Ed you da man
Love your relaxed presentation style. No stupid dancing around, no muppetry, just nice and relaxing to watch and enjoy. More please.
Been a big fan of Mr China from the very first episode of WD. I've learnt so much from watching him at being methodical in your work always reaps rewards. Suffered from anxiety and depression back in 2016, found watching him brought calm to my days. Thank you!
It's refreshing to hear and see a mechanic explaining the process of diagnosing a problem and the tricks and hints he utilizes to accomplish his mission.
I clicked on it one minute after it was uploaded and there were already 389 people here! Anyone would think Edd was liked and respected.
I prefer the pace of these diaries over Wheeler Dealers. One man working on his own rather than a production company with real challenges make it more realistic and shows more detail. I was getting a bit worried we wouldn’t have time for a brew though.
This is so relaxing. I'm home with my Covid ill father. This is the third week, the pneumonia is subsiding but he is still very weak. Not been at work for 5 weeks. Tired and depressed. Edd thank you.
I hope your father recovers soon my friend.
What a pity we lost you on Wheeler Dealers. You carried that show! Good to have you back. Watching you work on cars and listening to you is akin to listening to a professor of engineering giving a lecture.
👍
Loving Workshop Diaries Edd. As others have said this is exactly what glued me to Wheeler Dealers. Even though I don't have the money, time, experience or equipment that you do I feel like I could have a go at most jobs after seeing you at work. To have an entire episode where you wrestle with an issue and dig into the layers of test and repair required to achieve your goals is the absolute dogs. The tips and knowledge pepper each episode and it engenders an appreciation of how unnessarily complex some vehicles can be and how accessible others are made. This V8 Range Rover is an obstinate beast. Every time you think you've got a handle on what might be the issue it goes "Nah, mate! I'm not going to make life that easy for you!". Then a part gets in the way of reaching something or a bit leaks and it's back to the drawing board. Gripping stuff. Others have followed in your footsteps, but as my favourite Bond theme says "Nobody does it better!".
It's so great to have Edd "back in my life" on a regular schedule.
What I love about this series is how Edd shows his failures, something we're *all* destined to experience in our workshops. Although his cunning plan to get the fuel pump running inevitably failed, requiring him to go out and buy a new one, it was great to see him *try* to get it working. On WD, he would have been forced to just buy a new one and move on...time is money after all. The other thing I love is how he demonstrates his troubleshooting skills exceptionally well. This episode is a textbook example on how to diagnose a bad fuel pump. I'll be back every Friday. Great to see you back again Edd!
Every week has just gotten better with this show!
Glad to see you're getting hundreds of thousands of views ....well done Edd ..you're back .. and we love it ... you've got an Army of fans and I'm well and truly In the Infantry !
3rd episode and I’m still feeling like a kid on Christmas morning! So Glad you’re back Edd.
Excellent way to end week!
So basically old Wheeler Dealer, but more detailed. Brilliant.
A dream´s come true. 100% Edd and no Mike around. Love it.
This is real-world mechanics. Filthy undersides, frustrations, frozen nuts & bolts and all.
So glad to see you back Edd, really enjoying the show!
When I started watching it had 187 likes. By the time the video ended it had 1K. Just shows how much people love Edd
We do!

But I don’t understand about the dislikes.....

It's like all of the best bits of Wheeler Dealers rolled into one awesome show.
This is how wheeler-dealers should be no bullshit just pure knowledge I still remember edd doing work the way he explains and how to fix it is certainly rewarding which made the show watchable love to see him back regards and cheers form India ♥️🇮🇳

Hello from North Dakota, Watching your video's is like hanging with your buddy at the shop. I appreciate the fact you don't sugarcoat taking things apart. Feels like we struggle right along with you. Keep up the good work.
Always enjoyed you on Wheeler Dealers. Your repairs were the main reason I watched the show. I like the detail and especially the trouble shooting you pass on to the viewers. Glad to see you back.

THIS is a car show. Time is spent working, teaching and learning. Love it.
Just made a fresh cup of tea. Timing is spot on!
It’s great to have Ed back to show real workshop fixes, not a breeze over that Wheeler Dealers has become.
It’s FRIDAY, and another Edd Workshop Diary has appeared :-)
How often do you hear a mechanic call something a "cunning plan"?
Good British education...
What the fuck was the point of this post? Just because you have a thought doesn't mean you have to publish it.
Spending ages chasing electrical issues is my fav car repair task... Said no one ever!!!
The moment we expect to hear sound from the fuel pump is more exciting than most thrillers
Good to see you fixing things again, Ed.
Haven't watched WD since you left, this new series is fantastic! 🙂
I love the slower pace with extra detail. Much more relaxing. Great format
Living the show so far, don’t think many people would want to work on that old dirty Land Rover but it’s great to see simple solutions to problems you come across
I'm a big Fan from Germany since "wheelers dealers" 😀 You always were the Show! Go for it, Edd!!
Great to see you back Edd - there are plenty of car shows, but only one Edd China - great stuff!
Edd, so glad you took this route with the channel I have really missed you on Tv so this was awesome!
Ed, this is fantastic! Proper, no rushed, workshop session. Absolutely brilliant. Your approach is the real world approach of all of us: time and patience = solution to problems. That state of that Range Rover... I can't wait to see how you saved this. Turned down lots of similar state cars myself so seeing you resurrecting this one is inspirational mate.
Edd, this is amazing! it's such a great series. I would definitely pay to watch this. Please keep making them!
As an amateur enthusiast who’s only learnt mechanics by doing bits and Haynes or workshop manuals this step by step approach, with little tricks along the way, (cleaning the bolt threads with a nut with a cut in it!) is a real help to see the step by step and relaxed approach. Gives me more confidence to give things a go. More of the same please!
You and my boss would get along so well. He does everything he can to get the damn thing working...lol. Thanks for the show.
I have to say that the description of this new show being like "all the best of Wheeler Dealers without any of the fluff or nonsense," is very accurate.
But, I described this to my friend last night as, being like a video substitute for getting together with a good friend (way wiser than myself) and just sipping a coffee or a hot cocoa and just being like a knowledge sponge - happily absorbing new bits of information and those improvements to my existing base of knowledge while enjoying the experience with someone you look up to.
I am just in awe of Edd China because so many mechanics are insufferable, arrogant mules that have to be right even when they are wrong and usually have a chauvinistic, loud mouth personality. Edd China is like the Nikola Tesla of the workshop. Just humble, honest, passionate about what he does, and never talks down to anyone.
Thank you, Edd! I learn so much from you. As long as you keep making these, I'll keep watching.
Basically Edd has a lot of patience which is essential when investigating any repair. Not just patience but a pure devotion and a love for working on anything mechanical.
For me that began with a Haynes manual, a cheap socket set from Halfords + a feeler gauge ... a timing strobe .. then new brake pads and shoes ... oil filter air filter .... engine crane .... Borg and Beck clutch .... (you know how it went)
This was like watching an old school episode of WD but someone has edited out the 5 minute segment of Mike visiting a factory that makes fuel pumps where they let him screw it together and then watch him try and get a discount on it.
Yep, old school WD, right down to fitting a shiny new pump but leaving the sh1tty old fuel filter in place.
Lol
LOVE LOVE LOVE the new show Edd!!! Keep them coming Sir!!!
great to have you back Ed. you look a bit lonely there in the workshop, I wonder what Paul is up to these days? like the reference to 'the show' and great to hear English spoken proper not what like I does lol
i used to think that wheeler dealers was too short - they would rush Edd and they would fill the time in with drama. this format is so much better. Edd gets to show case his amazing breadth of mechanical knowledge and experience, without the bullshit. Love it. can i donate to a patreon so you can make more of this???
The best thing about this is it gets straight down to it,not treating people like they have 3 brain cells
So refreshing to see Edd go to such effort to repair something instead of just ripping out and replacing with new. I like new shiny parts as much as the next guy but, in the real world that most of us live in, repairing is the only available option. Loving this channel as much as I knew I would. :)
This is the deepest, most healing meditation for petrolheads. Bob Ross RIP. Thank you so much Ed, keep on it.
In the words of Bob Ross "there are no mistakes, just happy accidents".
Edd.. dear Edd.. your videos and shows has always been like a therapy for me.
And once again, you-re successfully easing my pain after a serious injury.
I am in stiches, agonizing pain. But you are that pain killer i needed right now.
Thank you Edd
Edd, it's an absolute wreck. You'll be on forever.
But the Show must go on!
Very dodgy cutting that nut. Where's the vice?
It will be worth it another classic roadworthy!!!
@@weeeeehhhhh I don't have a vise, so that's how I would be doing it. That's one of the great things about Edd. He shows us the wrong way to do things right. Or is it the right way to do things wrong? Either way it's brilliant and I love it
I was thinking the same, its a range rover attached to Rust lol
so happy to have your regular unspoilt shows on air edd, like thousands i tuned in to watch your tv slots for years and it's great to have you getting to go in depth and explain everything from removing a switch right through to the latest tech in solid edge scanning and electric vehicle technology.best show on in recent weeks and a long time wanted:)

What a great show. No nonsense of buying and selling the car by Mike, just watching the interesting mechanics.
Fighting that fuel tank with not 1 swear word was impressive 😂😂
Possibly thanks to the power of editing...
No doubt about it Ed is a genius. So much better with no interruptions and no one yanking his chain.
So good to see your back in the workshop
Finally a show worth watching, great work Edd, and good seeing you back doing what you do best (especially without that annoying Flump).
Very soothing to watch this with a cup coffee on a Saturday morning. Love the new show Ed. Keep up.
Such a wonderful thing to have Edd providing some fresh "Gear Head Goodness" once again. Thanks for the great content and even more for not sacrificing your integrity.
Cheers,

One very clever man. Let’s get an Ed channel on TV👍👍
Great show Ed. Working on broken mechanical thingamagigs is often like being a detective trying to solve a crime. You know something is wrong, but what? You clearly show that it can be difficult, frustrating and often time consuming coming up with the solution. This show is far more grounded and based in reality than the other show you were in and better for it. Keep em coming!
It's so cool to see Edd on weekly basis again. I've grown up on his show on Discovery.
This is the most realistic auto repair show I've seen. When I've done this type of work, the fuel tank has no drain, is full to the brim, and I had no lift. And gasoline invariably runs down my arm into my armpit. Fun times.
