Looking at the state of the underneath of this Range Rover surely there’s 1 of 2 choices to make on this thing, either body off chassis if it can be done and clean up the complete chassis and running gear or call it quits. Either way I unless this car means something to the owner it doesn’t look anywhere near worth the amount of work required to get it back on the road

  • @tomrounds

Edd, can I say what a pleasure it is to see you back doing what you do best. I must say that you departure from Wheeler dealers was a blow. To my mind the real attraction of Wheeler Dealers was the mechanical work you did to make the cars saleable gain at a profit, well sometimes not. The other chap rather reminded me of a seagull; flapped about a lot, made a lot of noise and did, well, the other stuff that seagulls do when excited. But all that is in the past so forgive me for taking this opportunity to voice my opinions on your fortunes at last. I look forward to watching more of your programmes.

Edd, great show, I had a 1982 Range Rover in Australia, bought new, absolute disaster, huge problem with the fuel system, Rover, to try to meet emission laws the Fuel system was modified by the Factory in a "Heath Robinson" manner the carburettor overflow was connected back to the fuel tank. Result the fuel system became pressurized and petrol poured out the filler, bearing in mind that this was a new car with less than 2,000 KM and the paint was peeling off the body below the filler. British Leyland refused all complaints and it was obviously my fault by making a poor buying decision. Keep up the good work, yours is one of the best shows on any media.

I think some off the details especially finding that simple fuel leak and replacing the entire fuel lines could have been covered in 6 minutes via editing, just seems a bit overly long for such a simple fix.
I fear it will take 2 seasons just to get this Land Rover sorted out for M.O.T.
I do love to watch Edd, but wish producers/editor can understand it.

This show is (for me) a welcome respite from the current obsession with throwing stuff away when it still has intrinsic value, something we have been socially engineered into, because it's good for business and it gives individuals short-term gratification. Well, it's bad for society and it's terrible for the prospects of future generations.

Great to have one more of your videos to watch, and as usual top quality content to learn a few tricks and share the pains of dealing with older vehicles. One more reason for not needing the dual mass on the engine flywheel: The electric motor is felt more like a pure wave of electromagnetic force, so no engine vibration to dampen as in the diesel engine, which gives you power like a hammer from each cylinder pushing you forward when it goes bang, moreover with current turbo tech and whatnot.
    Please keep it up!
