      Thanks! I’ve been up in until 3 am and you can see the lights still on after kicking on at about 830pm so I would say 6 to 8ish hours depending on how much charge they got that day.
      You can turn them off and let the battery fully charge for days you want to be out hanging outside.

    I'm returning a 2nd set of these lights back to Costco. The first set, the bulbs won't stay, so I returned the set. I purchased another set and this time, two of the bulbs lights didn't light up. So, here I go again to return the lights! Sorry but I'm going to try another brand. I'm so glad that I got these at Costco because you can return your items without any fuss.

    Great video. Looking for string lights and saw these at Costco. Think I’m going in with the plug in ones because they are much brighter and I need it to light up my area. But still a great video because you see your setup and still helps others decide if it’s for them. Thanks

    Bought two sets at Costco last summer and set them up on the roofline of our recreation cabin. The remote control feature worked fantastic to click on/off both sets at the same time. At the end of summer, I took them down and carefully stored them. I just set them up again and the lights will turn on an off by the switch at the back of the solar panel only. Both remote controls no longer work and despite replacing with new batteries, they still don't work. I'd have to use a 20 foot extension ladder to turn on the lights for them to be illuminated and that's not going to happen! I'll be taking the two sets back to Costco and will be writing to Sunforceproducts. Too bad because they worked amazing...for two months.

    • @JBL486
      @JBL486 2 года назад +1

      Happened to me twice now. I wrote the company, they sent me a reply to turn off panels, remove batteries of solar panel for 30 seconds, reinstall panel batteries, turn on, hold remote button down for 5 seconds. They wrote that should fix it. Voila, it did nothing. Then they said it's easiest to return to costco. So I switched them out at costco. If I have to keep on doing that, thts a pretty crappy solution. It's a shame because besides that, they're great.

    We put up two strings which we liked. When one string went out we thought the rechargeable solar battery needed to be replaced. It is impossible to find a replacement battery. We looked everywhere. The battery is a 18650 1800 mAh 3.7V. I could find a similar one at Ace but is 2600 mAh which would probably work if it fit in the battery space but it’s a tiny bit too big. So we’re screwed.

      Place the solar panel in the OFF position
      Remove batteries from the solar panel.
      Wait 30 seconds
      Put batteries back in solar panel
      Put the panel in the ON position, the bulbs should turn on.

    So can just run these off batteries too and not use the solar panel? (Provided that you still have to have it plugged into solar panel)

    • @EveryDayJay415
      @EveryDayJay415  2 года назад

      Yes the solar panels just charge the batteries. you can take them out and charge them on a regular charger. Are you using them indoors?

      Thank you for writing back to us. I think a quick re-sync should fix this.
      1) Place the solar panel in the OFF position and wait 30 seconds with the batteries removed from the solar panel.
      2) Put the panel in the ON position, the bulbs should turn on.
      3) Hold down the remote button for 5 seconds as close as possible to the solar panel.
      4) You should be able to turn the string lights OFF/ON with the remote.

    I have the same string lights from Costco that were installed in my yard this summer. They work great but now that its gotten colder outside, I've noticed 1/2" of water in the bottom of 1 of the bulbs and a second one is starting to take on water. I don't see where rain could be entering so I believe it's condensation. Are you experiencing anything like this? Joe

      Hmm I’ve been out in the yard all day it was 77 degrees on the 7th of December. Need less to say we don’t get much cold around here so I haven’t had that issue. Where are you located? If I were you I would take them down for winter or at least cover them. I’ve had similar lights that would get wet and keep on tickling so they should still be fine.
