MSRP seems to either be $479 or $429. I was told on the phone $429, and australian pricing was not given ANYTHING at all... Will have a follow up video post release with the reference card. (make sure you hit that sub and don't miss it
Dat sexy Tech YES goatee!
I would definitely buy this card for $429 for my old i7 2600k or put it in my 5800x PC until I can get a 3080 ti or 6900/6800xt. $479 is a bit high for this card.
we all know end price will be $800
I really need some help, Bryan. I’m running my gigabyte 3080 gaming oc for mining on my spare time when I’m not gaming on it. It’s hitting 110 degrees celsius while mining, which is the tjunction temperature that causes throttling. What can I do to improve that? I’ve reapplied some new thermal paste as well as adding thermal pads. The problem still persists. What can I do? Please, help me!
Probably 1100+ aud
POG. Two videos in one day. I LOVE IT.
This card will sell out within 10 seconds of launch. Will be basically impossible to get. We have regular people who will try to scalp it as they can double their money by reselling on ebay. So we are competing with miners, scalpers, and just regular people turned scalpers.
Aye. Saw alot of my peers selling their older hardware near to its original msrp. Unless you are close relation with the regular person in question, you'd get probably will be paying the scalped price
This card is worse for mining than the 5700XT, so I can't see any (smart) miners buying it.
No, you're competing with *buyers*; this is a demand-driven market, nobody is forcing anyone to buy cards at inflated prices, these are voluntary purchasing decisions. Scalping is just a term people use to ignore where the real responsibility lies, and that's with buyers. In such a market as we have atm, one must choose, either higher retail pricing or black markets. One cannot have low retail pricing in a demand-driven market without black markets because by definition there is an unexploited profit gap, which is especially the case atm when the backend issues are amplified by global govt policies that have collapsed supply chains, forced people to stay at home, hurled trillions of printed/borrowed money into the system, etc. Realistic higher retail pricing prevents black markets and is fairer to all:
libertarianinstitute.org/articles/why-price-gouging-actually-helps-during-a-crisis/
There's no such thing as a scalped price, merely someone who is willing to pay more than you are, for whatever reason. Crypto is a sucky reason of course, but then as TGOG said ages ago, modern GPUs are not 'gaming' cards anymore, they are compute designs for Enterprise, from which consumers receive the table scraps for gaming. There hasn't been a dedicated gamer card arch in a long time.
@@mapesdhs597 RDNA2 is a gaming architecture, as evidenced by the fact that its mining performance is worse than the 5700XT despite having 20-30% better performance than it in gaming.
No, what we have to do is scalp the cards and sell them at MSRP.
Thx for showing the undervolt results mate
110w shave from the 230-250w tdp is pretty good imho since i play mostly in 1080p
This gpu will be a sweet for capped 75hz freesync gaming
Another question
Doesn't the contract state's not to disclose when the embargo is supposed to be lifted?
My sub box got bombarded but yours was the one I clicked
Random question Brian have you had any of those deepcool baronkase come through the studio I wanna build in one lol
the undervolt result is very interesting. hopefully the availability is better this time.
They are selling this card in Canada now for the retail (MSRP) price of $1099 CAD. That is equivalent to $900 USD and a 88 percent markup from the launch price, if you can even find a card available that is.
So I tried to grab a 6700xt from Asus several hours ago, $720-$830 and still sold instantly. Its nuts
Keep them vids coming.
Glad I got the RX 6800, still can't believe I was able to buy one.
Tech Yes Mystery: wasn't 479 the MSRP?
well the official msrp is for the US and everyone else just refer to their prices is what i assume.
-but now the inflated msrp gives them more reason to charge more when you already have to pay a premium outside of US-
Did they mean the MSRP for just Gigabyte's version?
That was quick. I almost forgot about this launch. If I can get this card I might just pair if with a i7 10700f.
@@mrhappy8966 no
@@mrhappy8966 You're extremely wrong and by quite a long shot there is no way a 10700F will bottleneck it.
@@mrhappy8966 wrong there buddy
@@shivenmundra8040 come on man, dont you know that intel bad amd good?
Maybe i5 10400f same performance with this card
I got one in a Newegg shuffle and it was $750. I don't think I feel like it's a very good value at that price, but what can you do?
Just snagged one on local ad for $450. Gamed a few hours on it and no hiccups. I came close to buying a 1080ti for $420 the day before. Glad the guy didn’t respond back. Have this paired with my 5600x/x570/32gb 3600mhz pushing a 3840x1080p 144mhz monitor. Super happy with the price. It replaced my $140 GTX1070 that I bought used Nov 2019.
Are gigabyte gpus good
March, 2022 and this card is currently at $650 on Newegg. Is it still worth it at that price?
I was excited for this launch, until night before official launch saw some of the cards going for 300 over msrp.
23 °c that would definitely be tee shirt weather here, there you are putting on a jumper 😄
Honestly this GPU is exactly what i expected it to be, just look at the 20 series and where the 5700 xt was at in performance.
I think I like the Goatee. You look great on camera either way though. Great stage presence!
GIGABYTE Radeon RX 6700 XT GAMING OC 12GB or red devil version dont know of it is oc?
Can I use this with an intel processor?
It's only the 17th in US. So how did Aussie launch go?
Seems like an ideal GPU for a 144hz 1440p monitor.
In NZ it starts around NZ $1050... Consider October last year when the 5700xt was on sale for NZ$570... Then again if it isn't available, the current price is the current price...
Hey Brian i found one of these 6700xt for 700. should i wait even longer for gpu prices to drop or pick it up immediately. im currently running a 5600xt and i think it might last me for another 2 more years prices never drops down.
GPU prices are not going down anytime soon. Best case scenario the shortages will last until 2023.
Now that a prize well worth winning, Good luck ALL !!
I have been trying to get my hands on one of these "30 series" or RX XT since the very beginning as i am stuck at home unfortunately.
being able to just do that and search online, all days.
I still could not menage to get one!
All sold out before i even try you see!
And i was looking hard...
"MS" stuck at home with a very old GPU 920gt now
as my 1060 die oct2019.
decide to buid a new Rig possibly the last rig as i knew new cards was on their way but also knew covid could slow down the build, which it did, you have no idea RMA etc.. everything out of stock... but i was excited, all hype up, youtubers boost me,
they pump me "30 series 30 series 30 series"
as i was trying to build my last rig which is still not fully complete as for today.
GPU was my only remaning culprit and i was needed a new card, preferably a 30 series, 3070 to be exact, possibly 3080 any of these 30, i would take anyway.
but you know the story again.
All sold out before i even try you see!
And i was looking hard...
Here as for today even an used ASUS 1060 3GB here is around 300CAD used
all the prices went up on every lvl
My PC is all rdy for a bigger graphic card i always been mid power PC and i want to ultra experience for a change.
Did i miss what frequency you managed to get when under-volting? I'd love to know since then we'd have all the info (power/fps/freq).
Other than that this was a good review. Is nice to see the OC/under-volting numbers since that's not normally covered by other channels so a unique perspective and i think it underlines how hard these cards are being pushed to achieve that "RTX 3070" comparison that AMD are intent on using.
And where would you buy a card nowadays at msrp?
prices at normal e-tailers here in europe are at least double, some even closer to triple the msrp value, there are cards in stock though, I wonder why :p
giga 6700xt gaming oc is selling at 1000 USD in Vietnam (retailer not scalper)
i like cards with 2 hdmi ports. i have a couple of 32" tvs i can use instead of my old 21" monitor
I don’t get it, why are all these new cards so slow?
6700xt is mildly disappoianting compared to 5700xt as generational upgrade. This feels more like zen+ moment, rather than zen2 moment
ANY TIPS ON HOW CAN I GET ONE PLEASE HELP
I've just brought Rx 6700 XT but the MSI gaming X OC one as I couldn't get a RTX 3070ti anywhere, I just gave in tbh
its $1150 aud right now , which is like what 800us?
Any over clocks in 1080p and 1440p? Clearly 4K isn't it's weight class.
Bought a 6700xt hellhound at $999.00 through Micro Center . After tax and extended warranty almost 1280 usd.
Is 80-85 degrees junction temperature while playing rdr2 on ultra settings is normal or i should be worried?
watch the airflow on your case
Nope. People who overclock reach around 100 degrees.
Waiting for the 3080ti but lets be serious, in this market you just take what you can get.
ASUS 6700xt goin 2,309.48 here in New Zealand! means 2,143.60 AUD and 1,673.14 USD its insane
The prices link showed me some nice ssds. Obviously, amazon has an amazon stock. Of ssds.
Yeah. Just got myself a 2TB NVMe PCIe 3x4 for less than $250. It's a TLC with DRAM cache. What a good time to buy SSD.
I paid £880 for the asrock challenger pro 6700xt in the uk which was ridiculous but i did manage to sell my msi gaming x 5700xt on ebay for £900 so scored a free upgrade.
Scored a 6700 XT reference from XFX for £426 delivered. Gonna flip my Vega 56 on 64 VBIOS to miners so basically a free (relatively) GPU upgrade :)
Worldwide give away ?
16/04/2021 the price on PC case gear is $1149, I would like a Aorus 6800 masters 16gb card and was $1400 it’s gone up to $1800 over night
And i sold my rog 5700 in september, to buy a 3060ti or 3070 and yeah i couldnt get any since then in affordable price in Hungary.
Waiting for the summer, and for the eth miner fee halving. Maybe than we would be able to buy some.
Strangely i saw a rx 6700xt for 419.99 on a tech site all their other card models were sold for almost double
Gpu prices are insane in UK even old stuff is commanding high prices can't see it improving any time soon
6700 XT not even showing as an item (in or out of stock) in the main UK online tech stores yet.
Remember those companies that hiked prices way beyond rrp too. Look elsewhere when there's availability.
Hope everyone's PC is alright with the recent flooding in the flood plains.
that goatee was TUFF!!
Definitely not 429. It was almost 1000 at best buy in the US
great vid brian! Hard pass on the 6700xt if the price is $480
Aussie prices are ridiculous!!
$1,000-1,400 depending on board partner release.
I've never understood why so many people lower clock speed when undervolting. You can undervolt and leave clock speed at its stick setting. You can undervolt and overclock at the same time on some cards.
Because lowering voltage strains electronics. You raise the amps and cause electronics to work harder. Think of it like putting a mask on while trying to run. Not a perfect comparison of course but it strains parts so it should be factored in when lowering voltage. Not saying you always need to downclock but people do need to understand undervolting is not helping longevity as parts are designed to run at a certain about of voltage.
@@45eno overclocking undervolting and tinkering in general does not affect the lifespan of electronics unless you are doing it to extremes. It's perfectly safe to run a modest undervolt and overclock at the same time. It's actually the best way to run your GPU. There is absolutely no risk whatsoever.
Nice video
Stock occassionally drops locally for this card, but at ...no exaggeration, twice that "MSRP"
More like $942
The only reviewer (and Optimum Tech) who cares about undervolting gpus.
AS long as it's available and MSRP, I'll go with it.
what is that bro
6800's seem to be all out of stock at the moment. The 6700 XT would do me nicely though.
Rtx 3060 is 1200 usd right now , just for reference.
pretty cool analysis of a card that seems to be medium range. However, I wouldn't go rushing out to purchase one any time soon - I have no need to upgrade. Emphasis on the 'no need' part. I'm happy with what I have. I don't play the type of games to warrant the change - I'm more a Minecraft person - :D hehe.
Guy, I can beard it out like no other. It's just bloody itchy during the transition phase.

Heads up. US retailer has the 6700xt priced at $750-$850 at launch. Not quite the under $500 they said it would be. Haven't been able to find any in stock other then the mentioned retailer. AMD didn't even have the part listed on thier online store at launch time.
Oh well. My 3060 will have to be enough I guess.
Remember that retailer when stocks are back in, and go elsewhere to make your purchases.
Currently seeing it at 899 in the uk form a retailer and the Arous for 950
Got one today for £730. The MRSP prices are misleading.

Waiting here in Aus, hoping the prices are completely stupid, please be under 900aud...

TWO Tech YES Videos in a day!? What a treat!
Hey Marco, will you grow a long beard ? 😆
Yes Yes Yeeees! Oh that was a Good Yes show.
6700xt has now jumped to $1k price
Since when is 60+ fps on ultra not "4k friendly"?
the msrp should be 1.3x usd pricing (converted to aud)
RT performance is “a little bit behind” = 10 FPS lol.
Love the shaved facial hair. Wow
tech yes goatee! for sure!
I always stay clear from first gen cards.I see them as beta cards.Pretty sure amd will have better rt optimization with there next batch of cards which should be the 7xxx series. But for pure gaming(competitive gaming)it should be fine. You won't run rt on games like that.
I got the 6800xt and the games that allow RT it works pretty well on it, Although most games that are competitive, I'd turn it off even if I get over 100fps like Battlefield, RT it cool and all, but the visual quality just really isn't there unless you are really trying to look for it in most of the games.
Oh my giveaway 🥳🥳🎉🎉
Let me guess: out of stock right now
lucky for you, it hasn't even been in stock yet. (Launches the 18th)
Let's see
Why tf would anyone know what the card costs in Australia...?
Ah yes, another card that will fall into the hands of miners and scalpers.
Ikr. No hope of 100% getting a gpu till late 2022 imo. Miners will continue to grab stock for themselves and build rigs to sell on like on ebay.
Scalpers will bot the rest of the available stock and sell it at double the price like the 3060 is now at over 600gbp.
Total joke the gpu market is. Ill stick with my 1080Ti
@@D-2-the-no 4k is overrated anyway..my rx 580 will easily play all games I want like SFV and Rally games above 60 at 1080 for another 2 years
@@NeonAstralOfficial SFV is awesome. Esports Games like that will play on an RX580 forever. I mainly play warzone and that does take some oomph, so i have changed from 4790k to 10400f. I agree 4k is over rated with 1440p available. I can max my monitors 1440/75 with 4790k but i feel it is getting a little hot and bothered doing it with very little headroom... so for the £90 difference after selling it on its worth the exchange. There isnt much difference in frames with most of intels 10 series even overclocked, which is why i opted for the 10400f and b460 msi torpedo over say the 10600k and z490. In rendering different story, but gaming pretty much the same
Definately overated and its often smoke and mirrors, depends on so many things, after all its just another resolution, you want to push everything up to ULTRA....but in reallity you often can't, nearly every benchmark is fudged by the tester to suit his agenda, and of course we often do it ourselves all the time. There are so many other factors that have come into play, true 4k is only often obtainable with older titles. Console 4k is a prime example of the concept stripped to its barest, and using a host of party tricks, just to wear the 4k badge.
