How you should you spend your money? Which one will fit your NEED? There are many factors you need to consider and I am here to help
Both AMD and Nvidia came out with a mid tier card that is comparible to 20 series flagship the 2080ti. We need to know who which one is the best at 1080p, the best at 1440p and can even do 4k on a budget. Thats why in this video we are comparing the RTX 3070 and RX 6700xt, both the average gamers champions from their respective brands.

Hey guys just to be clear, I want you to make a mental note that this is one of the best 3070s vs the cheapest 6700xt available. Thats just because these are the models I have! Performance doesnt change alot from one version to the other as the die is likely binned better for a little more OC!
rx 6800 is more closely priced with Rtx 3070
You should've included the min.FPS aswell, since it decides the feeling of how smooth it really runs. It's always the downs that you feel most and not the highs, just like in life xD
just top be clearn, paid 398 pounds for mine about 1/2 year ago... and at any point, whatever the app and/or/game requires more than 8gb (welcome to the 21st century), radeon stomps it. one and only reason EVER radeon cards, whilst cheaper but having same or better performance are scoring lower is, because of the % of users owning one. HARDWARE-wise, amd pisses on nvidia without even courtesy of calling it a rain.
the issue is lobbying.
IF you're a customer and not just a sad shill, you might take head. but hey... i don't know you.
Why not mention what PSU one would need for a Nvidia GPU .... after all, it all adds up in the end.
@jaytee1086 valid point! I will look to make sure I include this. My video releasing this week includes that and I will work on that moving forward
I'll always pick the 6700xt over the 3070.
Don't care about Ray tracing or 4K at that level, this is a 1440p card imo.
The cheaper price and more VRAM push it over the edge for me.
Sounds valid to me!
For me this is an ultra 1080p GPU for very high fps with better quality settings. But these are all personal choices.
I'll care about RT when I get around to buying a GPU for 4K gaming on a large OLED which I don't own yet and there's only one GPU that does that well right now and that's the 4090 but I'm not spending $1500 on a GPU so waiting at least two more generations of GPUs. By that time the power consumption will also be less.
With the 6700XT having 16Gb or VRAM will make the average low FPS higher than the 3070.
At this moment in time, with a ~$200 price difference between the cheapest cards, the 6700 XT is a slam dunk. If you're worried about RT and/or 4k performance, you honestly need to go up a tier to the 3080 series. When I retire my EVGA 1060 6GB, I'm gonna mount it and put in on display as an ode to the quality of EVGA and the last NVIDIA card I'll ever own.
RIP EVGA, maybe they will come back one day
Inindonrsia tho, the 6700xt is 210 usd and Rtx 3070 is around 260 usd so its quite worth it
The Best GPU I have ever owned is EVGA 1070 SC when it just died 6 years later, I have it like a home decoration now in a shelf, looks so damn good and all the memorys with it. but now i have a AMD 6700XT :)
if u get the 3080 get the newer version with more vram, more vram is always better even if u dont need it, just in case
@@lm1186 bidding dont count.
Honestly looking at the benchmarks you showed I would pick the 6700xt every time! Faster in 1080p across the board and marginally slower in 2k 4k tests but with more memory meaning higher quality textures. More memory would absolutely sway me for future games.
valid, well said!
@@doomzstrafe2749 I actually bought a RX 6750 XT and it's brilliant! Price vs performance is outstanding and it plays all my games with no bugs ;)
@@doomzstrafe2749 yeah you can overclock the rx6700xt to rx6800xt level and rx6750xt to rtx3080level thats it
Price difference as well is a very hard decision point.
@@BlueprintPCneed help, between rtx3060 and gtx1080ti which one should I go for, I mean gtx1080ti is available much cheaper and in order for me to buy a rtx3060 12gb I've to sell the 1080ti and add like 5k PKR more which in US perchance power it'll be $30-40 dollars more.
I went with 6700xt, There's like a $200 price difference between these 2 cards (at least where I live) just to have a 10 fps difference. For 1440p gaming is still pretty good to me and let's be honest it's not like you can actually tell the difference between a game running at 125 fps and the other one running at 129 fps.
I can't but my fraps can
@@DiskoKDiskoL YOU CAN'T thats the point.

$25 difference on the used market right now
@@dammaguy1286 Not a single crash or issue so far, the only thing that bothers me is that Nvidia had more image options than the adrenaline software, I don't have a lot of options that I was already used to like adjusting the blacklight and stuff like that.
As a guy coming from only playing with Nvidia GPUs I don't understand the shit AMD gets because I literally have 0 problems with it.
Weirdly enough the 3070 and 6700xt cost the same in my country , so i went for the 3070 , but if prices here were like the US or Europe the 6700xt , 6750xt and 6800 all make more sense and are cheaper than the 3070
I bought 6750xt at $490, 6700xt cost $455 while 3070 cost $636 VRAM is really important if you want to keep the GPU for at least 5-7 years pair it with 5700x 65w + SAM. Wanted the 6800xt but cost $746 almost $300 more than 6750xt
Same managed to get a Red Devil 6700xt for 470€ since October couldn't be happier
Got my MSI RX 6750 XT Mech OC for $389 with a $20 rebate, during Newegg's Black Friday Sale. Its only a 2-fan card and is not as flashy as other custom graphics cards out there. But performance wise, its a great value for 1440p.
I too went with 6750xt but if you're talking about 5-7 years Vram proofing you need at least 6800
@@wishwewere1256 12gb is enough for 1080p though, downgrade my monitor 1440p to 1080 instead of spending more money. Doesn't make much difference to me
this is literally my build. Works like a charm, but im swapping my tuf 6700 xt for sapphire 6800 just cause I got a great deal. There was no need but the deal was too good to pass on.😅
Thank you for making an update on the card!! I've been looking for a new benchmark video for so long because I want to see how well amd has update their graphics driver.
I have more videos on both of these if your looking for a little deeper dive. Thank you as well
@@BlueprintPC Yeah sure I will definitely check it out!!
the adrenalin driver is pretty decent, for best results clean install window then clean install the adrenalin driver from the beginnning, alot of people complaints about amd drivers is because they are installing it onto an old install of windows and it doesnt install right for whatever reason, or the system has an old invidia card and you switch over to amd driver and something breaks. Make sure you backup all ur personal files before installing adrenalin and if it breaks be prepared to clean install windows off of a usb jump drive. I already had to do it once 😉☺
Keep it up, your channel will grow fast!! My 6700xt works great for me with my 3800x
Thank you, I appreciate that. Thats a solid rig you have there as well!
Yo, youre the first guy ive seen doing benchmarks on a PC that most people can relate to! Champion! Loved your video
Don't forget Nvidia also suffers a considerable hit to performance when using RTX, only compensated with a use of DLSS. Therefore, you either have to
a) cope with upscaling (especially noticible in lower resolutions)
b) buy a more expensive card to play with RTX with the same resolution
c) play with RTX in lower resolution (say, 1080p instead of 2k)
Or d) play without RTX, but that's what the AMD cards are for.
And also keep in mind there are tons of games out there that don't even support RTX in the first place. So, do you realy need it?
Personally, I'm dead settled on picking up 6700 xt for my 1440p build, since I mostly play simulators, strategy games and RPGs and will likely only play games with RTX for a couple of months in the next few years, while the value I get out of a new GPU and the increased resolution will be notocable from the first day.
Depends on the game. Something like cyberpunk needs to fall back on dlss to run ray tracing with overall settings cranked up. But most games dont. Doom eternal can run 120+ fps with rtx at ultra nightmare/nightmare mixed settings at 1440p. In my experience, most games run just fine natively with ray tracing at 1440p. 3000 series are much better at running ray tracing without dlss compared to 2000s. The 3070 is a solid card at 1440p, even with ray tracing enabled. Ultimately whether ray tracing is a game changer and worth the performance hit is subjective but IMHO it absolutely is. Having it on adds a completely new level of realism and immersion.
It's also not like AMD doesn't have their own set of performance trade offs. FSR 2.0 and onwards is using generic shader cores to run their temporal upscaling algorithms. This is a) much less efficient than using tensor cores like Nvidia and intel (with ther xe coree) do and b) means that there is a big performance trade off. Because you are taking away a big chunk of your shader cores to run fsr, in practice you end up with a much smaller performance boost compared to Nvidia and even intel.
At the end of the day, both AMD and Nvidia have their virtues and which is better depends on your personal preferences. It's strange that many AMD users feel the need to assert their choice is objectively better in all cases.
I've come to the exact same conclusion
@@JimIBobIJones in these reviews, the AM4 generation is most often tested, which will slowly but surely be replaced by AM5 /and LGA 1700/ within a year or two. Given that the gpu's are pretty much the same, will the scales tip in favor of someone on the new platform?
@@japanpower86 not sure what your point is? Am4 and 5 are CPU platforms.
My point was the relative advantages and disadvantages of N and A's approaches to implementing ray tracing and upscaling in their GPUs.
A) this has nothing to do with CPU platforms.
B) They are in no way the same. The companies take diametrically opposite approaches to implementing these technologies.
@@JimIBobIJones Sorry, im not PC guy .. maybe I didn't explain properly. Will the new platforms /am5/ somehow improve the work of gpus like 3070 / 6700xt - more efficiency ray tracing .. bottleneck stuf ... i mean is it worth spending money on an upgrade?
ciao!
thank you so much for your comparison. My 1080ti left me few months ago and I begun to keep an eye (each) on these alternatives. I just ordered a Radeon card because I don't need Ray Tracing in my games (it kills performance) and benchmarks are pretty good compared to my previous card. The difference, then, between these two are not very marked, except for pricing. I play at 2k usually at high settings, not max, so it should be fine.
Grazie
same situation actually lol, my 1080ti is failing me and crashing constantly, and recently I've been scouring for the best card. NVIDIA is so expensive now, and when I saw this card, knew I had to look into it.
Thanks for review.
My pleasure!
Great video like Always Juan! Happy New Year! 2023💪💪💪
Well thank you Carlos, Happy New Year to You as well!!!
Good video I can only add that the VRAM difference hasn't been highlighted which in my opinion will increase the longevity of the 6700XT 12GB vs 3070s 8GB, for example we are already seeing games (Hogwarts Legacy) that 8GB of VRAM even at 1080p RT on isn't enough and the performance of the 6700XT is even higher than the 3070ti in these cases which with the new console generation settling in would only be increasing.
Hey there, thanks for the comment. I did mention VRAM issue after the benchmarks, but I didnt focus on it to be fair. You are correct and I agree, 8GB is gonna be an issue.
3060 outperforming the 3080 on Hogwarts Legacy in some scenarios due to Vram starvation 🤣
You can squeeze roughly another 5 to 15 fps out of a 6700xt with a quick oc in the AMD Adrinaline software. Some games don't gain much others do.
Agree completely! Maybe even more in the right scenario
I got me 6750xt for peace of mind just like my previous purchase decision between gtx 1050 2gb and Rx 560 4gb, More Vram for long run + faster Vram out of the box no need to OC it in order to match 6700xt. I had smooth sailing with my rx 560 untill this year so i decided to change it those 4gb of Vram really helped alot for longevity as i used it fort 5 and half years no problemos, hopefully 6750 xt will give me 7-10 years of not having to think about Gpus.
I really enjoyed the format. Subbed. I'm kind of leaning toward upgrading from the 2070 super to the 6700xt as when I do rarely use my PC I game. But on occasion I will produce some light content. I can only assume the 6700 can handle rendering some 1080p video in Shotcut every 6 months. If not, please confirm 🤣
Hey there, first of all thank you! So I will note that the jump from a 2070S to 6700xt while still decent, it's going to be kinda like jumping up to a 2080ti only a little bit better. So yes I would also confirm the 6700xt can handle rendering. Rendering content is going to be dependent on your application as some are supper CPU heavy and others can use the GPU. It just depends on the software.
A 3070 is way more expensive than a 6750xt here in our place so it's a no brainer for me. Plus that 12gb vram looks better long term compared to 8gb. I wish it a had larger memory bus width though like the 3070(probably the reason why 3070 outperforms the 6700xt at 1440p, idk). I don't plan on upgrading for a long time after seeing the absurd prices nvidia and amd did to their recent cards' prices (rtx 40xx, rx7xxx series).
my 6700 only has 10 but it seems its enough for 1080 but yeah 12gb is good for 6700XT
@@MrSamadolfo yeah 10 is enough. nvidia offers 10 gb on their 3080 cards but they are expensive man.

@moustaphadiallo600 NewEgg. Sold and shipped by them. The one I have ( MSI Mech ) is currently $369 before tax. I got it for $10 less at the time. After a lot of reading, I concluded that they all run hot regardless of whether it has 2 or 3 fans, so I saved some $ getting that model.
@moustaphadiallo600 It was $386 after tax, my bad. Still a good deal.
New Sub! Appreciate the recommend. I'm building a 5600X/B550 set up and am stuck on buying a GPU. Been looking hard at these two cards... Or do you think it would be best to hold out for the price to come down on some of the latest GPU's? Money is tight, so I need to be sure I'm gonna be good with either of these cards at least for a couple of years.
Hey there, So I will give you a curve ball. If you are ok with the price range of the 3070, maybe check out the 6800(non xt). The 3070 is a good buy if you need Nvidia specifically for certain software compatibility reasons or want decent RT performance.
I just picked up a RTX 3070 on ebay for $350, not too bad. There are other options in that range available as well. At this point its better value than the 6700 XT which resells for similar or slightly higher. I got the same CPU and Mobo combo and the RTX 3070 is a great pairing. The 6700 XT would be good too but only if you can get it for about $300

the tshit bro. like that. u look like the vocalist, you know that noce video though
😆 lol not sure if it's good or bad if I look like him but thanks either way!
I would buy the 6700xt because of the extra vram it has. I have a 3080 10gb and a 3090.
The 3080 has run out of vram at 4k, mostly on user created maps in games and when that happens, performance drops like a rock.
Sadly I can confirm, I've actually maxed out my 3080 10g vram at 1440p ultrawide. It's similar pixel count as 4k so it makes sense but was surprised when it happened. I know they get some heat right now but thats where the 7900 xt/x will likely hold up well over the years as well. The extra vram is gonna be a factor at some point.
You can only imagine how the 3070 gonna perform with that 8Gb Vram lol. N$greedia were really trolling by releasing a card same performance as 2080Ti but with only 8Gb Vram. There are already games using +7Gb of Vram u can only imagine how its gonna be 1-3 years from now lol. RX 6700XT all the way.
I need to know what drill beat you chose for this bro please it's fire!

I came across this video while planning to build a new system after many years.
So I might just ask for an advice if I should go for a RX6800, since in my country it's for the same price as a RTX3070.
I suppose based on the benchmarks of 3070 vs 6700xt that it should outperform the nvidia card right? (if we don't count in ray-tracing since based on what I've heard, ray tracing is somewhat of "one-time" feature which you try out once or twice and then abandon cause the performance drop isn't that much worth it).
Hey there so the 6800 is a great competitor for the 3070, infact it beats it most situations. For the same price I would go 6800. As for Ray tracing, it's great for single player games since its imo beautiful to look at in the right games. Yes it can be a hit to performance, but thats why I suggest for single player games.
Dude bravo for the mainstream test bench setup! So happy to not see a RUclipsr with a $5,000 system saying “meh”
Thank you, I appreciate that!
The setup legit does not matter and the better it is, the better and more clear the test becomes. People test it and pair even the lower end graphics cards with insane testbenches with the best CPU monsters because that will 100% rule out the CPU as any sort of handicap, so you can see the pure power of the GPU.
I know the 3070 hits a little harder in this weight class however the 6700xt’s 12g of VRAM will pay off the longer you hold on to it versus the 3070.
Very likely, also depends on resolution. At 1080 it might not matter as much but who knows
@@BlueprintPC Which is kinda solved by DLSS. I personally can't see any difference and have been using it in the bigger games which basically renders the game at 1080p and scales it up, so there is no performance loss for using 1440p with this card.
The RX 6700 XT is a much better value. I am running the PowerColor Fighter RX 6700 XT in my mini-ITX build with an AMD Ryzen R9 5900X cpu.
I don't give a whoop about raytracing. I have a full-size R9 5900X build right next to the mini-ITX, with an RTX 3070 Ti, which I hardly even use, but I probably will when I get a video capture card installed in it.
How long have you had that exact model of the 6700xt and would you recommend it? I'm thinking about getting that exact same one, but I've never used a GPU from ASRock.
I actually snaggrd this at launch and it's been good to me so far. I'm had it in several rigs. My wife was daily driving this for a while as well
Also there's a $200 difference between these 2 cards in the UK, so it's not even a choice which one to go for (the 6700XT is so much cheaper)
Its about the same in the US as well. AMD is killing it with price to performance.
Just pick up an RX6750xt for £450
I do want to get 6700xt just for gaming alone, but the 3070 runs really well on 3d rendering tasks like Lumion which is a must card to have.
Always a hard call! Rumor has some launch may happen yhis week so maybe we will see something new buy again its just a rumor
i’m upgrading from a 4 year old 2060 and i almost bought a 3060. Im glad i decided to check some of the other cards because the 6700 xt is cheaper than the 3060 where i live and i’m playing at 1080p so it looks like an easy choice.
I would agree
which card would be better for long term though and also taking into consideration upgrading specs, for example a cpu?
So longer term the 6700xt is a safer bet. CPU for a long term I would suggest any 6 core or higher AMD 5k Series or Intel 12th gen or newer should be good.

Hey there, so if a 4080 is in the budget that would be the best performance overall. However the 3080 would be a good middle ground option to save a few bucks and still have great performance. The 6700xt would deff do the job if needed. However Nvidia has better encoders for streaming.
Considering the RX 6700 XT myself for 3 reasons (Keep in mind I am not a Ray Tracing kind of guy at all). 1st off I don't care about 1440p and 4k I am very much a 1080p guy and for most of the games the AMD card does better at that resolution. 2nd The card has 4gb more vram and I think the frametimes are going to age a bit better because of games becoming more and more vram hungry. And 3rd I can pick up a RX 6700 XT pretty easily for about $385 where I live and 3070's usually go for around $495 to $550. But I have to say both of these cards are pretty damn good and you should go for whatever one suits your needs whether you want RTX or vram of prefer NVIDIA over AMD or vice vera. Great vid man keep it up 👍
Thank you and well stated! I will say which ever route you go, give RT a try. It's a nice to have and is good with single player games where you dont need to go much above 60fps. Thank you again, nice comment.
AMD has lower power draw too, I tested them both (3070 from a friend) and AMD wins big time with as much as 30W lower power consumption for same performance. The Auto-undervolt from the Adrenaline software is great for the average user, not to mention all the options. This is the first time in 15 years when i picked AMD over intel and nVidia and I don't regret it, red team won me over :))
neat, i didnt know you could undervolt in Adrenaliine
@@MrSamadolfo You can do everything in adrenaline; core overclock, vram overclock, fan curve, power limit control, undervolting, and even your own taxes :)
@@MrSamadolfo its complete utility tuning , meanwhile on nvidia you need afterburner.
I love how fans take 30w as big win...use all your cards dude.
I also found this on another test however I found that the 6700xt heats up 4-10 degree celcius more than the 3070
Trying to choose between 6750 XT and 6700 XT to replace my 1660 ti. Currently Have 1080p monitor but going to upgrade to 1440p later. Unfortunately the 6800 cards are sold out here but these two are available with 50€ difference in price. 3070 is too expensive and I don´t rally care about RT. MY CPU is ryzen 5600 and mobo B450. Which should I go for?
For the extra 50 I would get the 6750. I do have videos on the 6750xt if you have time to check those out
Wait for 7700xt
They're about the same price on the used market here. I wonder which one is better.
Hit the nail on the head, 6700XT the best bang for buck! I was lucky to pick one up for £354 new yesterday :)
Congrats!
If they are at the same price what would you pick?
I got a 6700xt for $200 just last week. I have still yet to see any 30 series card under $300
150% the price for 7 extra FPS but only if i play in 4k?
Been eyeing the 6700 XT. I hope my Ryzen 5 3600 can handle it
just bought a 6700xt to pair with my Ryzen 5 5600 for my first pc build, do you think its a solid combo? and how would you say it'll last until an upgrade is needed? personally, I think until the next generation of consoles come out but idk
Hey there, so yes thats a good combo. Should perform better than my test bench tbh. Upgrade time is hard to guess as it depends on game devs and what they push out. I would give a couple years, also depends on the resolution you run
I have the same pairing and I would like to have it for around 5 years until I replace it. So, I am probably going to buy next the generation of CPU & GPU ( the one that come after the current latest series) at the end of its cycle, as its going to be at cheaper price (just like 6700xt and Ryzen 5 5600 is right now) but 2 generations better than current setup.
I'm getting 3070 for live stream games & render 3D animated models
I'm going to sound very stupid with this question but here I go, 1080 and 1440 os just based on your monitor(s) correct?
Yes so your monitor can come in a variety of resolutions. Higher resolution monitors can display lower resolutions in most cases. So a 1440p monitor can display 1080p but not the other way around
WOW, Billy Corgan is now giving GPU advice...i Love it..
Yeah gotta diversify😉
hi guys, i have RTX 3070 TUF and i am super happy with this card, i play on FHD and 4K. Also last week i got RX 6600 and i must say its very impressive what AMD doing with RX series. This is very got time to be gamer because u got so much choice for reasonable price. Great video @blueprintPC. keep up
Thank you, I appreciate that. Hope all is well
For me it was decided by Nvidia's DLSS. I tried AMD's version and was really disappointed with the blurry images while I don't see any difference with DLSS, so I can get that additional performance boost with no drawback.
That and I got it cheaper back then.
Yea I like FSR and all but the immense praise it got/gets just doesn't make sense to me, the image reconstruction is ROUGH, even in 1440p on Quality. It carried Cyberpunk on a 6650xt for me tho so I can't complain too much. Got a 4070ti now lol
@@cash_banooca17 Yea exactly. FSR is really rough around the edges (pun intended) while with DLSS, I don't even notice it.
@@Nerex7 I notice it with DLSS too but it's a lot more active with keeping the image consistent while FSR almost has to catch up and makes the temporal streaking worse, it's weird to explain
@@Nerex7 I almost prefer FSR 1.0 since that wasn't temporal, it was just a straight upscale
I also prefer DLSS but try to avoid both, DLSS looks to soft for my taste. FSR looks grainy. They both can be handy in the right scenario
In my area for used cards. Price difference goes for around 52 to 77 usd. I don’t have a pc. Cause they expensive for me. i love doing quotes and watching videos like these.
Well thank you
I needed a workstation+gaming rig, and I think I have got the answer now: 3070 is for me. Thanks for the quality content mate!
I'm also looking for a new GPU and currently the RX 6750 (msi gaming x) is 200€ cheaper than the RTX 3070 (msi gaming x). While this seems like a no-brainer, I'm kinda afraid of buying it because of all the GPU driver issues AMD seems to have.
I know there are AMD users without having driver issues while others have driver issues on the NVIDIA side, yet issues seem to happen on AMD side much more frequently. On the other hand saving 200€ is saving 200€ and driver issues could be fixed... I'm really unsure of what to do.
That is a tough one. AMD has come a long way with their drivers. Most of the "driver issues" are just fanboys mur murring the past problems. However yes both sides still and will always have some driver issues. Even the brand new 4090 has driver issues. Nvidia has been having a nightmare of a time with DLSS 3.0 ,come to think of it
Bought a 6700xt on boxing day and have had no issues at all. It is a great upgrade. Drivers issues are not that common and faulty gpus are always a risk. But if you buy new, you can always annoy to get a return or a replacement
300euro difference here, the 6700xt is such a better buy in every way
Today's price in the UK at Scan and Ebuyer, for the cheapest cards: RTX 3070 ti £590 or for the 4070 ti £800, RX 6700 xt £350 or for the RX 6750 xt £410.
Thanks for that, hopefully they come down a bit more you
In other words is $649(Nvidia) vs $349(amd) and a average of 5/12 fps more for $300 more cost, On the Nvidia! I thinks it's a clear choice! (At least for my pocket! 😆😆 I'm pairing mine with a 5800x
As others have said, plan to buy a 50 or 60 seires nvidia if you go with the 8GB vram 3070 which is just enough to scate by today.
I’m getting a new pc and upgrading but I’m getting a ryzen 7 5700 X and still choosing between an rtx 3060 12gb or the rx 6700xt 12 gb but I’m also planning on twitch streaming, which is better for it?
Tough one, so the 6700xt is more powerful by a lot. However nvidia has better software support. I would lean toward the 6700xt as its shear horsepower should do better overall.
I have a 3070 ti in my build but im building a pc for my lil bro looking at these benchmarks and the price difference, im def going get a 6700 for his build
It's a solid option for the price 💯
Enjoying my ASRock 6700xt. Worth every penny
Bro are u facing any driver issues... Or black screen, stuttering...Am gonna buy a 6700xt but iam afraid of these issues... Should i go for 3060ti...
@@s.monesh04-rq4vb no issues at all. I paired it with a 3900xt with 32gb Ram. Running excellent
If you just revert back one version on the drivers till they fix them. AMD was on a good run till this most recent drivers was broken
RX 6700XT was a competitor with the 3060. The fact it WHOOPS the 3060, and the 3060Ti and is essentially competiting with a 3070, two classes above where it was placed, is just insane. Whats MORE insane is that for every 6700XT sold, people bought 6 Nvidia 3060's! FOR THE SAME PRICE! XD XD XD
Stupid is as stupid does. Jensen wins! FLAWLESS VICTORY!
I'm thinking of trading my graphics card for one of these two, but I'm going to buy them second hand and I can get them for about the same price, so if the price difference is 10% or less to the 3070 and even the 3060 ti is cheaper than the 6700 xt, what would be the best option for future-proof?
for long term either the 6700xt or 3070, the biggest long term concern with the 3070 is the 8gb of vram
@@BlueprintPC And unfortunately we dont know the answer, only time will tell.
I brought a 3060 RTX 12gb 3 weeks ago for $350.00 at Microcenter. Today I returned it for a 6700 XT 12gb for $370.00 plus the last of us steam game for free. I think I got a pretty good up grade for 20 dollars
I would deff agree
for my second pc after playing on a gt 1030, my 6700 xt and 5600x has done nothing but bless me glad i went with amd👍
Dude glad to hear it, congrats on the new rig! Whats the game that impressed you the most with the new rig?

Hey mate, I am content creator, I record screens from video game (Beamng), I do some animation in Adobe Character and do editing in Premier. What card would work best for me? I currently used GTX 1080 but now it's broken. Please advise as I am getting ready to get new GPU. thanks
Hey there, so if your gaming and recording at the same time vram is going to be your friend, a 3070 will do the job but ideally a 3080(or above) would be best to give you a good foundation for a longer period of time. Your cpu is also a factor as well, a solid cpu with that can help absorb the load a little bit.
@@BlueprintPC Thanks a lot for such advice my current CPU is i7 7700. It still works well for me. Price difference between 3070 vs 3080 is big. I see some channels they have 3090 with 24 GB... but it costs a lot. Thanks again
@@cherry-boss thats the biggest issue with Nvidia...Price! I use Nvidia because almost every piece of software I use for creative/editing is Nvidia only or the AMD support is not so hot. A 3060ti would also work as well. Either a 3060ti or a 3070 would still be a boost in performance across the board and they both have 8gb of vram
@@BlueprintPC yeah 3060 TI and 3070 is more likely to afford. 3080-3090 is too expensive. Thanks
Yeah I got a 6750 xt from family and my girlfriend for Christmas. I loved it but I stream and am trying to do RUclips so I went to Best Buy with the receipt and swapped it for a pny 3070 and had to pay a 112$ difference! Performance is great but the prices of nvidia are insane.
I can buy rx 6700 xt around 175-220 US dollar for second hand with 2 year warranty while 3070 is around 285 so I guess 6700 XT is for me :)
Wow, thats insanely good
I've always heard that nvidia is better for twitch streaming. I game at 1080p 144hz and i planned on getting a 3070 with a ryzen 5700x, tho that 6700xt price is enticing. Is the 3070 gonna be better for streaming? Or should i switch to the 6700xt
They are sorta even, technically the 3070 is better but is limited on vram. Where as the 6700xt is just a smidge behind on streaming it has plenty of vram. FYI certain apps like extra vram for smoother streaming
@@BlueprintPC i mostly play games that don't go above 8gb vram, so I should be chilling with that
Money matters. Cards should be compared based off what they cost not the arbitrary model name given to them by the manufacture. The 6700XT sells for almost half the price of the 3070. The 3070 sells for around $600 you can by a RX6800 for that. I do like how you paired them up with a test bench that makes sense. I get that most tech tubers are looking to remove bottlenecks but I think showing how it pairs with what people will run with a mid-tier card is important. Nobody will ever run a 6700XT with a 13900K with DDR5 7000 ram.
Thank you! Oh and I am sure someone will pair the 6700xt with a 13900k 😆. Does it make sense...not likely. I did see a build with 3950x and a gt 1030 the other day so don't doubt what the world can surprise us with lmao. Happy new year
@@BlueprintPC for music production , all you need. CPU does most of the grunt work.
Good example, I was strictly thinking gaming but you are correct if your going for a production rig that can game a bit too. Nicely done
Yea no one will pair 6700xt with 13900k but here look at me, running a rx vega 56 with a potato ryzen 3 1200 paired with 24gb ram DDR4 and In few days time im gonna buy the Red devil 6700xt (wont be able to afford a new CPU after spending on the 6700xt)
Time to get ready for the extreme level of CPU bottleneck :(
The 3070 is good card but it's biggest flaw is the 8gb of vram, 8gb is the minimum for 1440p gaming right now but years later it wouldn't be enough for AAA games in the future, the 6700 xt with 12Gb vram is the better choice here imo.
8gb vs. 12gb is irelevant. 3070 is faster overall. And 12gb is not futureproofing, as you can always get a newer generation card down the line.
Can you please help me decide? Here in the Philippines, the best place to buy used graphics card is through facebook marketplace. I found found a gigabyte 6700 xt that cost about 277 USD, and a zotac 3070 that cost about the same. If both cards cost the same, should I still opt in 6700 xt? I am a bit concerned with the ongoing talks these past few months about how 8 gb vram will be lacking in the next few years, but seeing how the 3070 takes the edge on almost all titles, I am thinking of maybe picking it. What are your overall thoughts?
unless you really want ray tracing I would go with the 6700xt
@@BlueprintPC If RT doesn't really concern me that much, 6700 XT is still the better pick even when both are at the same price?
So if they are the same price the 3070 performs better in a lot of areas but sometimes only by a little bit. However the 6700xt may help with the extra vram
Seeing as I just bought a red devil 6750xt for more than I should have paid $430 but wanted the top tier cooler that it has I'd go 6700xt all day long.
The 6750 for $430 isnt too shabby, less than what I paid for one.
@@BlueprintPC yeah I mean compared to the gigabyte or MSI and other cards it was a premium
@@murdergorilla4087 I'd say you got a good deal man. I'd rather buy that card at that price rather than the price I bought my msi rx 6750xt gaming x trio at 510 usd.
