I'm not new to building pcs, far from it but I do enjoy watching other people build sometimes and this is fantastic, it's nice to see a build that's not the latest and greatest, most expensive parts like other channels but the atmosphere with the calming music on the background really is enjoyable :)
I love that you made this video because my friend just upgraded his PC with a new RTX 3060 and he gave me his GTX 1660 Super so I'm saving a good chunk of cash on my GPU for now. Also had my mind set on the Ryzen 5 5600 or 5600x. I'm so gonna use this build.

I honestly didn't know you still could do it nowadays, awesome!
Love you Oz. If it wasn't for you, I never would have become open-minded to budget builds. I was selling high-end systems for very little profit for years. After discovering your channel and watching many of your videos, I started to build and sell budget systems which were faster to build, faster to sell, and with much less overhead. Thank you, my friend.
It's the calming aspect that I really love about this guide. So many guides with so many parts and it gets overwhelming fast if you're like me and just check in on this stuff every few years when it's time to build again. Thanks for clear and concise instructions. Subbed!
the title doesnt lie, this video is very calming indeed. since its my first time in building pc, canvasing affordable builds for less than $800 and all the research has been giving me massive headaches. i really appreciate how soothing this is. i needed a break lol

I know this is an old video but it was the first video about pc building that really motivated me build my own. I liked the calm atmosphere it created because it helped with the stress of learning something that was entirely foreign to me. The extremely low budget you gave yourself was comforting because I thought gaming pcs had to be really expensive to be good. I liked your “good enough” approach to this and I’m writing this comment as a thank you because I just built my first pc yesterday and I couldn’t have done it without you :D

You are so awesome! I only just discovered you a few weeks ago but You are my newest mentor. I recently bought a motherboard, cpu, ram combo and previously got a computer case . When I get all the components ant it is time for assembly, I am going to Zen out light a candle and just calmly and relaxingly build the computer... Love you man! Thank you for your content.
Ive been wanting to build my next pc, and every friend I talk to tells me not to do it. "You won't know what you're doing!" And its kind of scared me off, and have been focusing on prebuilts. I think your video has pushed me back into researching more of building my own, as you simplified everything so well!
My first build in 2012 went smoothly and I didn't have any issues on first boot. I was a total noob and NCIX tech tips videos at the time were good enough to teach me everything i needed.
this is a great video for people to study. I like how he labels out each part and the vendor. I am also a custom pc builder and i sell a good amount of them. This is exactly how i do it. Props to you my dude
Great build man! Most people out there don't understand that you can in fact build a good PC for around $500. Everyone has this mind set of needing the best of the best when in reality your average person isn't even going to notice the difference between DDR4 and DDR5 when gaming. People need to really sit down and think to themselves "What am I really going to be doing with this build in terms of workload" before choosing where they're going to allocate their money. Once again thank you sir for helping people understand that $500 is enough for a mid tier build.
i loved this , I'm about to build my first pc and the calmness of the build was very helpful. i find that other videos tend to be way too intellectual and stressful so this was awesome thank you!
Love this! I recently did the same, but only getting used parts (except the PSU and SSD for obvious reasons). Ended at 500ish USD for a b450 board, ryzen 5 5600 and rtx 2060 super. The best part was definitely the hunting of used part and the thrill of getting it all to work together, haha.
I loved the look that I thought to go cozy yellow to reduce the eye strain at night. Thank you for the set up you made so I got a template of my build in mind.
This is a great budget build, the 5600 is a killer budget cpu. The 650w PSU also gives you the flexibility to go for a stronger graphics card (a 3060 is probably as high as i would go, or a 6600xt). Personally, i would also spend a little more on a b550 board and pair it with a pcie gen 4 m.2 because I really value fast boot and load times.
I'm honestly surprised you don't have way way more subscribers, your vibe is dope and the content subject is relatable to the average person. keep it up brotha
Just wanted to let you know if it wasn’t for me finding your channel around last dec I probably would’ve never built my pc.. I am happily gaming on K&M for the first time, streaming, and editing! Appreciate you Bro 💜
Not sure if you mentioned this in the video but it's good to remember to ground yourself by touching, for example, the computer case. This way you avoid ruining any of your parts due to static electricity being discharged through your hands.
Just came across your channel and gotta say, appreciate the vibe of your videos! Definitely a nice change from the majority of junk out there! I rarely ever comment or subscribe to anything but I'm doing both now. I'm far from new to building PCs but I like to see what other people are doing out there from time to time. Appreciate you making videos of not needing the latest and greatest but "good enough"! Keep it up bro!

This video is so calming my dogs stopped fighting and came and sat on my lap to watch it with me, and then they turned out to be aliens and licked my ears and sang me lullabies until I fell asleep and was transported to the dimension of calmness.
Love the videos, glad to see you back! Also, I just want to say thank you for using the 'Ryzen logo should be parallel to the socket' method of explaining how to line up the CPU. That's how I've always done it, and it seems like every tech channel still tries to use the gold triangle method to explain, which is way harder and more fiddly for people to understand.
The triangle method offers 100% guaranteed success. That's why people teach it. If it's too hard for you to understand maybe you shouldn't build a computer.
It's been a long time since I've caught one of your videos but you still have some of the best pc build content. So chill and so informative. Thank you for what you've taught me and your content.
That's exactly what I built for my daughter 2 weeks ago, with a minor change from this video. The CPU. I bought a used Ryzen 5 2600. It's enough for her. (age 13) Wish me luck!! Also if anyone has one, please send a link to see the finish results by someone who made it, would be very helpful!!
I built my first PC about 9+ years ago and it is still going strong. Granted, I just use it as a home theater pc for streaming and web use like RUclips. And some mild gaming. Nothing serious. It can play the last Sim City game fairly well. Just have to turn some graphics down a little. But not too much. I can still enjoy the game. But I game on console now so it's not an issue for me. The only thing I have had to replace is my power supply so far. Knock on wood. But building them is so much fun and rewarding. Great video by the way.
I have no idea why, his videos are so relaxing to watch, I know very little about computers but his videos doesn't stress me out with too many terms that I often get confused about.
I'm glad you're back. I discovered your channel during your break and literally binged all of your videos. I never even knew I had an interest in budget builds until stopping by here. Thank you!
!! TO EVERYONE PLANNING ON USING THIS EXACT CPU/MOBO COMBO !! I do not want anyone finding out the hard way and Oz says it in a misleading way, but this CPU and motherboard are compatible, but the motherboard requires you to update the bios to support this CPU. You cannot do that unless you have an older CPU to upgrade it so that you can run the PC. If you turn this PC on with the same CPU and motherboard combo, it will not post. You will either have to buy a downgraded CPU or use a more modern motherboard that can support a Ryzen 5 5600X. Or, even better, a motherboard with BIOS flashback. I don't want anyone making this mistake. Please be cautious.
With a CPU cooler like that I can understand how this is a calming build. This was not the case for me with my 2nd build ever yesterday lol but we got her done! haha enjoy you videos man hope one day I can make a hobby out of it

Then connect the USB stick to the motherboard that needs to be updated and then go into the BIOS (usually press the Delete key at bootup) and there should an option to update the BIOS. The only problem is that if the motherboard (with its current BIOS version) doesn't support that particular CPU then you will just get a black screen. I would suggest that you buy the motherboard from a local store and ask them to update the BIOS for you. Then the rest of the parts you can buy online to get better prices.

Was thinking the same
Gen 4 does not mean it will be faster. Some gen 4 drives are actually just gen 3 or very similar to gen 3 speeds.
Thanks for this man, was wondering how high I cud go.
