  • You've decided to Homeschool! Now what???? It seems so overwhelming to take on your child's education. I know! I felt the same way! I spent most of the Covid-19 Lockdown doing hours of research and now I get to save you time and share it with you! Watch this video and check out how I planned my entire Homeschool Year. What I used to organize everything and what systems I am using to stay organized and efficient with my Homeschooling. Resources used in this video are below!!
    4 Systems To Organize your Homeschool
    1. Crate System- Breakdown Textbooks and Workbooks and file them by each week with this great Crate System I found from Cristy Clover an amazing Homeschool Mom her blog is linked below.
    kristiclover.com/
    2. Homeschool Planning Binder: This is what I use to organize and plan what I am going to do in my homeschool year. It contains my process for how I decide what my Homeschool year will look like. The planning sheets are from an amazing homeschool mom Megan Phillips. Here is a link to her blog and her sheets are completely free to use! How amazing is that???!?!!?!?
    homeschool101....
    The Binder also holds all of the tables of contents that are from Workbooks I have broken down to save space.
    3. Teacher Manual Basket: Holds all of my teach manuals
    4. Erin Condren Teacher Planner (erincondren.com): My Day to Day at a Glance. What I will use to plan the day to day of my Homeschool.

    I definitely want to see more of your homeschool videos. Would love to see you go more in depth on that course of study form. Also picks for 21-22 year. A year in review on how that all shook out and if the planning kept you guys on schedule or if you had to reevaluate and tweak much? Great video!

    I tried using the crate system in the past and unfortunately it didn't work for me. I found that if I got behind in one subject in a certain week, it threw off the entire crate. I then went to just planning for about 6-9 weeks in the crate system. That worked ok. Now I just put everything in binders and pull out each paper for the day/week and the subjects are independent from each other and nothing gets affected if we get behind. :).

      My crate is from Office Depot. Just a plain box or crate that allows for hanging folders will work. My hanging folders are just from Amazon Basics...hope this helps and keep watching!

    Did you have to adjust your weekly list from Megan Phillips to print correctly? Mine won’t line up to print

    • @firewifelawyermom
      @firewifelawyermom  4 года назад +1

      Morgan Aguirre yes, you just need to go to print view on excel and adjust it. I believe it’s in the top menu bar.

      There are a lot of Teacher Pay Teacher sites that have them. Just type in “(Insert your State) Standards for _______ (insert grade) here’s an example www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Florida-Standards-Checklist-for-Kindergarten-2316045?st=036775f289564c132f03a25733c7bafb
