I start a job tomorrow and we will continue homeschooling. Will be sharing my journey on my channel if you are interested in another sister doing the same. Thank you so much for sharing. Found you at the PERFECT TIMING!!!
It was fun to stumble on your video. There were so many things we have in common...I am also a fire wife, we are business owners, we have 5 (6th due soon) kids, we homeschool, and we are Catholic! Our days and habits are a lot alike to get it all done. It really is about discipline and knowing why you are doing all that you are doing...your big rocks, your pillars. I appreciate you and if you are ever in TX would love to meet! God bless!
Ma'am!! Can I just say you touched on everything I struggle with!!!!!! I appreciate you for following the voice of God because this video was for Me!! I pray all of God's blessing on you and your family!!!
You are my twin-thinker! As an engineer I also learned to time-manage like a boss, I teach my child chores and responsibility in the house and most of all, my husband is also a real father. I have a hard time with families where 'fathers' do nothing much but sit behind a computer and call it work and done for the day, while mothers work non-stop from early in the morning till the night in the house and kids. I have seen mothers like this be monsters to the kids because they have no energy and the kids hate the hard working mom and favor the dad because he is full of energy and is nice to the kids. My close grownup friend still hates his mother even though he understands now as adult that his mother was just burned-out. He just did not build good memories with her growing up even though she did everything and worked so hard. She does not deserve this, but he just doesn't have good memories. With his father he has great memories because dad was nice and happy and never tired (ofcourse). But he also is angry with his dad for not helping out mom. It is so so sad. Not all families in this situation are like this, but I have seen many many like this. But i don't think is good example to kids that daddy doesn't do do much, or does only the fun stuff, come on. In my family both mom and dad share the time with kids and housework and there is balance and love in the family. Just like in your family! We need more youtubers with balanced families. It doesn't matter if you are stay at home mom or working mom, if there is a father in the house he should BE a father as well. I am so happy for you that your husband is such a great father and husband.
Very inspiring! You DO a lot of what I TRY to do. I need to stop doing it all on my own though because then I get pent up resentment and it's just not good for anyone. Also when you said we need to be able to blow-dry our hair and shave our legs, that got me. I'm in a vicious cycle of wearing myself down and when I just want a few hours to shower long enough to actually shave my entire legs not just up to the knees and then actually put lotion on and blow dry my hair, you'd think I was asking my family to give me all of their prized possessions, when all I need is just time to take care of myself instead of everyone else! 😭
You sound so much like me! Lol. I’m super scheduled (though it’s mostly in my head) and I’m all about the routines. Kids help out and they go to bed at a certain time :)
Yes! I will be doing a separate video after the new year where I will be showing my whole schedule! Hit subscribe so you get an alert when I post it! Coming soon!
I tried making a schedule but I can't keep up with the time. 😔 For example I have to wake up at 1pm (I work night shift) and when I force my self to wake up having only 5 hrs of sleep I don't have energy and my patience is not so good. So I extend and that will already ruin the schedule for the day. 😔
Can I please please please see the rest of your schedule...im dying here trying to study for my nursing boards with a 4 year old and an 8 year old and I am struggling so bad. Husband works 10 hours a day leaves at 530am. Help!
Wow, this is one of the best videos I have seen with so many helpful insights! I homeschool 4 kids and work full time. Last year I rarely went to bed feeling that I had accomplished much. My downfall is time management! Thank you so much for this video.
In the past 7 days, I've spent 32 hours on my phone and yet I am bitchib that I can't do a full time job. Mind you I had surgery on Tuesday so tha day I was on my phone for less. I AM DONE!
I am trying to follow when the work times were...I thought I heard 1.5 hours in the morning then 1.5 hours at nap time? Is that right? I have yet to find a good schedule for myself!
I usually do 5-7:30am as my morning work block and then I do 1:30-3:30 in the afternoon. That’s the time I reserve for answering phone calls or emails and texts. When my husband is home I work till a bit later to catch up on anything I didn’t have time to get done that week. Hope that helps! It’s all about finding a groove
We are so alike, pharmacist and new homeschooler here! Homeschooled due to covid and it was so wonderful we are moving on to year two 🙌 Yes my 5 year old also needs to work on staying at the dinner table lol. Reading during that time may help, will try it. Thanks for sharing your time management skills. Efficiency is key!
Depending on the day but when we don’t have coop, I will do it typically during our snack break I’ll prepare lunch and breakfast is usually grab and go or I prepare ahead of the week on Sundays.
if you ever redo this video can you put the schedule up on the screen so we can see and read it for us visual linear learners?
