I love tonights video! Such a fantastic sky with the train in the distance. I love trains and hope you would show more trains as well as the old stations as you come across them where ever you go. They are disappearing rapidly.
Wow! That place is something else. Definitely a good stop. Lots of history there. My goodness that sky is just beautiful. Looks like you could touch the clouds. Enjoyed. TY. 😊👍
I went out there also and there's the history of religion, the history of insects, the history of. Humanity and animals. Very cool. The staircase is the stairway to heaven.. Thanks!
That is a fantastic place regardless of what your beliefs are. The church was beautiful. The beginning with the train and sky was fantastic. When we lived in the country, I loved to lay in bed and listen to the train, especially when the wind was blowing towards us.
Wow Thank you for the wonderful video's That sky is so AMAZING! I can't drive on freeways due to anxiety so video's like yours help me travel visually with out the stress ! Thank YOU!
Next year we will definitely visit this place. Looks amazing. One guy, with some money, did this whole thing. It always amazes me, that one person with a singular vision, can creat such an amazing place. Thanks for showing us.
Russ, I loved your segment on The Center of The World in Felicity, CA. It was a surprise when I happened upon your piece while wandering thru a series of links to all sorts of curious places. I especially enjoyed your appreciative commentary about it--and you immediately recognized the incredible expense required to establish such a unique place. I have somewhat of a humble claim to fame here because my name is on one of the granite panels in the category of "Hall of Fame of Parachuting." Jacques Istel, the founder, mayor (and half of the population of Felicity), is the mastermind, passion, and funding behind this place. He is also a pioneer and innovator for parachuting activities in the United States during the sport's infancy in the 1960s. He put my name on the wall because I'm the administrator for a unique women's parachuting award program which was started in 1969. The program fell into oblivion for over 20 years until I revived it in 2012 and it now includes over 1,700 women skydivers who have met the criteria to earn the award. I have a travel trailer that is my home when I visit drop zones to skydive in different places. This summer, I'm headed for "heartland" America to jump in 12 states there which will complete my goal to make a skydive in all 50 states. Maybe our paths will cross some day on a future journey! Happy Trails from one senior traveler to another! Nancy Gruttman-Tyler P.S. The spiral stairway to nowhere is actually part of the Eiffel Tower. In response to your suggestion that it is possibly supported by schools or universities--it is not. It's all private funding and a labor of love.
Watched this morning during breakfast. Enjoyed very much. Have put this adventure on our list for the places to go for our September vacation. Thanks Russ for another excellent video 🤠
That was very neat, love the shot of the church. I know how you like history and old stuff. I saw another RUclips video on ghost town living. Pretty cool it's in calf. And Nevada areas
That was a great video! Never even knew this place existed. Seems as though the layout from the aerial view looks like a keyhole? If so, I wonder at the significance.
As a full time wheelchair user I’m very say that the main way up to the chapel wasn’t an accessible ramp (I looked on their website and did not see any accessible way up to the chapel). Especially since the ADA was signed into law in 1990 by President Bush. RampTheWorld on Instagram has some several cool ramps from around the world. It doesn’t have to look bad to be accessible. A ramp never stopped anyone, but stairs exclude many!
I love the desert SW, was hoping to go there this winter but covid kept me home. Keep up the awesome videos, I love watching your travels. My favorite place was the desert bar and of course Quartzsite.
🙋♀️Hello Russ! Beautiful day! That sure was a kodak moment ascending to the Church with the blue sky & puffy white clouds. There was one weed sticking up out of the cracks of the side walk by the Religious section. Did you notice it? Such a perfectly made place to visit. As interesting as everything is, I'd need a week or more to absorb all that history. A lot of hard work went into making those. My Father was in the Korean War. He's gone now. I think he would have liked to have seen that wall. That honored our Veterans in the Pittsburgh, Pa. area with a picture hung like a flag on the electric poles. I found Uncle Bill's picture, while visiting but never Dad's.

Monowi NE, population #1, nothing like this but still special in its own way.
You do find the strangest stuff in the desert, Russ! The etching in the granite is interesting, but to me the real miracle was cutting and polishing and mounting all that granite. Think of all the kitchen counters that would have made! Interestingly, the Center of the World is only about 1,000 miles south of the Center of the Universe, in Wallace, ID. (You should do Wallace someday. It's amazing!)
I stopped your video and went to Google Maps to look at this overhead. I flipped it upside down, so the "church" was at the bottom. The configuration is a little disturbing, and everything going to the left..and the symbology is odd..but i cannot put my finger on were i saw it....it's pretty, just a but "weird". I wonder if there is some connection to another building/etching of stones in different languages in GA. Probably just my overcaffinated mind racing around, but pretty to see! UPDATE! The eight pointed star is considered to be the symbol of Ishtar! Also associated with the planet Venus..and that planet is associated with...guess who? Give ya a hint...it's a hot place. VERY weird, Russ! You get 100 points for stopping there !
The Georgia Guidestones were blown up today. 7-7-2022 at 4:33.33 a.m. Someone made a comment about this place. I sure am glad I stumbled upon your video and really enjoyed your viewpoint of the property. The comment that was made about it made me think it had something to do with the nefarious elite. This looks like an amazing museum for humanity. 👍🇺🇸🙏💞
i think it's curious that the markers read from right to left per marker, but each marker is on the left, not the right. Curious and unexpected. I would have expected reading from left to right, and the markers would also be assembled left to right.
I just drove by this and I was thinking that church would be good in a sci-fi apocalypse movie, we’re the heroes come out of the waste land dessert and come to that church run by some crazy cult like barter town from in Mad Max thunder dome
If you don't mind, could you tell me what video camera you use? It appears to be small like a GoPro but the quality of video is awesome. I assume you have a view area on it to see what you're videoing, correct? Where did you buy yours and what was the cost please? Thanks and look forward to many more trips with you virtually.
Granite last for centuries as long it is maintained but if kept in airtight condition it will last even longer in pristine condition away from time, wind, dust, weather, and erosion.
I think they must have gotten those big beams for the church from California, unless they're cottonwoods and that could come from Arizona. If you look at ancient stone structures the people then were doing the same thing, they were immortalizing their ancestors. They worshipped their ancestors. Most of the settlements were from 6-10,000 years old but I have seen some that they estimate may be 100,000 years old. There were people before the Little Ice Age but they seemed to have disappeared and then reappeared some 50,000 years ago.
I believe I understand what you are trying to convey yet people have devoted their lives to establishing dates for early human activities in the Americas and their finding support only some of what you are saying. Are you referring to the peoples of the "four corners" region of the desert southwest?
Seann, sweeping generalizations are a slippery downward slope my friend. Were you to walk California from end to end it could easily take 4 months and along the way you might never meet two persons with the same mindset.
Maybe. SO. The. Little. Green. Men. Can. Land. In. There. U. F. O. And. Learn. All. About. Mankind. Ha. Ha. Thanks. Russ. Very. Enjoyed. Till. Next. Time. Take. Care. Be. Safe. From. Oregon
It is amazing how people spend money... BTW my home is the center of the world, so they are lying.... Many people are so wasteful with many things....What a world we live in...
Thanks for the video Russ👍 Always enjoy them sir!
Very different kind of stop to take in...Very cool find!

What an awesome trove of information in the barren desert. Nice! 😊👍

What a fantastic place this is! WOW! It does worth any effort to get there! Thanks for showing this Russ!
Wow. That's some mental toughness to etch for hours out there. Scary good!
Very interesting never knew that existed all the granite, and information, thanks for sharing it 👍. Travel safe
Beautiful ..I love churches
Good video! the sky against the church as a background, really nice.
We had the pleasure of meeting the owner!

Ahh you were entitled to one “wish” and a “certificate” for seeing the center of the world... might want to make a wish anyway... great footage, Russ!
An impressive effort in the middle of nowhere. Winter travelers have a great roadside stop.
Have fun and take care and take it easy and enjoy it
Awesome !
This is so beautiful! It’s added to my must see list! Wonderful video! Thanks!
I have driven by this place many times. Never stopped in. I might have to do that soon. Great video!
Beautiful !! Something I did not even know existed. Thanking you for the video. Must try to get there some day.
That was a great video! Never even knew this place existed. Seems as though the layout from the aerial view looks like a keyhole? If so, I wonder at the significance.
It’s likely an Ankh, the Egyptian symbol for “life”.
Hey Russ!!! "YOU "R" TO COOL"!!! Be Safe!!!
Been there. You're right, a lot of reading and it's very informative also.

Seeing as that the Universe is infinte, anywhere is the center of the Universe. "Just saying"....

Was it you? Will you blow these up too?
I heard it was funded by a Rothchild.
Glad it was you walking those stairs not me😅
When I lived in Yuma, I interacted with a few of the residents from this place. What a weird and quirky group of people.
i think it's curious that the markers read from right to left per marker, but each marker is on the left, not the right. Curious and unexpected. I would have expected reading from left to right, and the markers would also be assembled left to right.
I heard those stairs are from the eiffel tower. Like ur videos.
u r right

Is the chapel handicapped accessible?

I think the etchings were on marble. Interesting place.
I just subbed to your Roku channel.
Cool👍
Hey come and say hi 🖖 here in Yuma az 😃👍🏾
Wow u need roller skates out there
Did you see cross in the clouds
Not a church an a “hill”….it’s a church on a “pyramid”. Important distinction I think.
This place is not medium rare. It is extremely well done.
Wow! A lot of money invested in this place
