Oh my goodness thank you for posting!! My Great Aunt's house, which we visited almost every weekend in the summer, was right across the street and it's in the video ! 4:57. The brown house with white porch. The best memories of my childhood. It was my dad's Aunt. They were very close so I have many wonderful memories of her.
I really can't thank you enough for posting this. Her home has since been rebuilt. So to see it like it was and like I remember just means everything to me 🥰❤️‍🩹🥰

Thank you for posting this. It brings back memories for me as I was a waiter at Zaberer's in the summer's of 88, 89 and 90 when I was in college. I rented a house around the corner so I used to be able to walk to to work. Ed had sold the business before I worked there so I never had the opportunity to meet him.

0:27 - What would the family boarding that van to Zaberers think if the filmer whipped out a device approximately the size of a book of personal checks, and started recording the evening!
Dinner at Zaberers either began or capped off many stay in the Wildwoods, including ours.

When I was a kid growing up in NJ in the ‘70s and ‘80s going out to dinner was also a less frequent experience - even fast food - no matter your background, wealthier or working class. Even when we vacationed in Wildwood my parents would get a motel. efficiency apartment and my mother cooked fresh fish; we only went out to eat once during our vacations at the Lobster House. I actually looked forward to dressing up for dinner. I still remember the feeling of being excited and happy for a dinner out after a day at the beach, how good that felt.
