The reason you don’t see a lot of cheaper, simple cans is because of the NFA wait and tax. It doesn’t make sense to buy a cheap 300 dollar can when the tax is 200 dollars and you’ll never be able to replace it and will probably never get rid of it. May as well save up a little for a nicer can that costs more

My big concern with the DMLS cans is baffle strikes. It appears that SiCo also thought of this hence why they welded sections, did they happen to mention that’s why? For future service maybe or repair? If so, that’s cool
@@noway6633 the biggest issue for me personally is that I have a pin and welded Deadair muzzle device. I’ve yet to see a 3D printed flow through can that allows for you to choose your muzzle device and mounting system.
It really hate how silencerco cans have the notches on the bottom and then it doesn’t line up. Those notches should be indicators that your can is aligned and tightened properly. And do you really think after 10,000 rounds it won’t need a clean?
I don’t understand why they didn’t make this 30 cal and have a dedicated 556 end cap. I’m lost of the point of a 556 dedicated can. You can only make this round so quite. I’m sure a 30 cal with a 556 end cap would’ve only been two or three decibels higher.
While 556 can never be movie quiet, how the gas flows inside the baffles due to caliber affects other performance. For example flash, while that can be fixed with an end cap, the larger port on the baffles will affect how fast gas moves through baffles, this is I believe a hybrid flow through suppressor. Which affects sound and how fast they would want gas to move through the suppressor. My sandman k w/ 556 flash cap is not that quiet even on a 16. If they opened it to 30 it can become louder by 10db. The change would depend on the baffle/flow through configuration. Plus they might make a 30cal one... So just wait
I have both the Dead Air Sandman-K and Sierra-5 suppressors and the dedicated 5.56 can sound so much better than the Sandman on my AK-102. The tones in real life are so different from what charts and numbers will tell you what it "should" sound like.

Because "flow through" suppressors are already loud as hell and hogged out "flow through" suppressors are called flash cans. You don't need a stamp for one either.
I don’t know where you received that info from. You need a stamp for every can no matter the style of the suppressor. I understand it’s a balancing act when it comes to creating suppressors. But technology, science, and manufacturing improved extremely in the past 15 years. There’s no excuse for the Suppressor to need to be 556 dedicated for proper sound reduction. There are other suppressors on the market that have a dedicated 556 variant along with a 30 cal option. There isn’t a big difference in decimals reduction. Rugged makes one of the most balanced suppressors on the market and it’s not 556 dedicated. Personally, I don’t see the point of this can nor do I agree with the price point. Hell even the military doesn’t use a dedicated 556 Suppressor. But to each his own
Universally, Flow Through Silencers are overall better than enclosed Silencers. Less back pressure beating up parts, less gas pressure, less carbon build up and only a little bit louder.

Dont know why some of these companies are still charging so much for their 5.56 suppressors. They are really loosing out to companies like Rugged with their Razor and Witt Machine with their Mod-1 that offer no blow back with out sacrificing sound reduction and are priced $500 to $700.

They came out with 5.56 firrst because nobody buys the accessories or 5.56 cans. Its why they made it fit the charlie mount. Traditionally their 7.62 diameter. Im not buying the more durable than a saker bs. That thing is a tank, we caught the cerakote on fire with my saker 7.62 with my rpd.

They can cut the baffle stack off and reweld a new one on for repairs with the serialized portion being a seperate part of the suppressor.
