have you done a stop comparison? it would be a great video to see how much of a difference the brakes make when they're being used under regular-ish conditions. maybe from cold and then after a 3-4 miles of driving and braking. What do you reckon?

You should take the ko1’s and get the white letters flipped to the outside. It pop so nicely. The new one warms my soul. All original is key 🔑

Best mod I’ve done to my FJ was throwing in heated leather seats. Did it at the same time when I got my custom clazzio covers so it was pretty easy. Used Toyota style switches with 3D printed bezels between my cup holders (6MT so cupholders are next to each other). Make a a big difference on long drives and in the winter
Do you plan to off road any of your Toyota’s or are they just for show ? The TRD skid plate is not very functional and the rock rails that come with the trail teams as well. That is why I took both of those mods off and got a stronger steel skid plate and real rock rails with kick outs. Also the FJ roof rack is worthless , it can’t hold a lot of weight , and doesn’t have a lot of space to put stuff up there. So want to talk FJs come to my channel !
GREATEST OF ALL TEXAS I’d love to get some off roading under my belt. I just work too much haha. I will in time though!
I like the light bar in front! It gets rid of the free advertising and it looks very useful. But have to test that out.
Honestly in your other videos I thought your taillights were just oddly dirty lol. Definitely agree the non-smoked look works better there

Untamed Motors ya I really like the look of the later models’ taillights. The front parking lights I’m just ok with (depends on the color of the FJ I suppose). I just changed mine out for the Headlight Depot versions on my white FJ
Kyle Burns yeah I completely agree. The color of the FJ plays a vital role in how the ambers and taillights look... radiant red is awesome but the amber lights don’t mesh well with it.
nice to see someone owning an fj cruiser and a schelby. in my case it s a normal fj and 2020 mustang 5.0 . best combo
My opinion i would add the fox suspension and bigger tires just like the 1st FJ .

I have a 2013 base 4x4. Need new tires and shocks/struts. Any recommendation for those if no off roading and looking for comfort? But with tires AT or close to AT looking. Preferably 285/70/17. And quiet. Tall order but curious. No snow here. Lot of rain. Thanks!

Ride on regular roads. I was told Ranchos are good fit but I don't know which one for the front & back. What specific shocks,( i guess package or kit & comes with strats & spring coils) affordable purchase do you recommend ? Only the shocks?
Plan to do anything modifications to your new fj ? Anything that you liked from to old to your new fj ?

I thought you where comparing Trail Teams to Non-Trail teams. I like to know if it worth it to even buy a Trail Team one. Or just by stock and Mod it up! Since there is only limited amount of TT it kind of pain to find one. But if I can Mod everything and ever better. Then it open up many more FJs to buy from me and my Lady. So is a Trail Team a Must have? I do not care about the silly badges. Just want the performance. Thanks!
They both seem to have some good and bad. Maybe Sonic should tell Mom she will be heartbroken if you sell the one and you may get to keep both. I prefer the bigger tires and fox suspension over the heated seats.
Joe Jr haha you’re right... the modified one is the better one for sure. BUT there is something to be said about how clean the new one is... and you can’t beat 22K miles! =]
You forgot to mention the biggest and best difference between the two. The AJT Design key fob.

The 2010 FJ Trail Teams in Sandstorm is actually the rarest. Only 1,500 built.
Eat On Tre interesting... I used to hate that color tbh... but it’s definitely grown on me over the years.
That’s the truck I drive every day. Love the color. The only pain in the ass is the light tan seats that get dirty very quickly
Just bought a clean low milage sandstorm fj. Waiting on delivery. I love that it's the rarest color. I also have the rarest Toyota mr2 spyder in phantom grey with red interior.
hey brother please let me know if you have a part number for those lock nuts. I have 2010 trail teams with same wheels and all Toyota recommended locks won't fit cause of the O ring too big or another option actual key won't fit inside of the hole (too big)

Personally, I would have swapped the brakes and skid plate over to the new FJ. Of course it’s a moot point if you’ve already disclosed both to the buyer.

Those LT tires on the new FJ will really hurt the performance. 58lb per tire is a lot.
Gonna sound odd, but I'll never mod again. FJ is just fine off the assembly line. Wasted money and 13mpg... 🤦♂️

Fjs are so much cheaper here in SA you can get a 2013 model for 17 000 dolars but its right hand drive here.

Stock will always hold it's value more than mod'ed. I've been offered to the penny for my mr2 spyder stock as the day I bought it...also due to the rarest color. The Fj I just bought also paid a premium but at a premium steal compared to what it would've been 2 or 3 months ago.
