My Grandma is 90 yrs old and still drives her 2010 FJ w/ 4WD, same color and all as this one in the video. Only 108k miles. Seen a local toyota dealer in my area of So Cal recently asking 29k and change for one with similar mileage as my dear Grandma's. Excellent vehicle.
Nice find. I have a 2010 FJ Iceberg 4x4 I bought new. It’s been garage kept it’s entire life has right at 87k on it now. The original Panasonic battery lasted 12 years 👍. Only issue was a driver side front wheel bearing. The brake pads look to be not even half worn so far. I am 65 and don’t plan to ever buy another vehicle for my self. Wife has a 2013 Avalon with 112k now, it was bought new and not one mechanical issue. Toyota knows ho to build great vehicles

I love love love FJs. After seeing it as a concept at the LA Auto Show and waiting for the first model year demand to subside a bit, I ordered a new one in 2007. Silver base model, 6 speed manual, full time 4WD, rear locker, roof rack. I LOVED it. Felt like I was driving a tank when I was in first gear. Never got it stuck in the sand or snow. Sold it when we decided to start a family and regretted getting rid of it ever since. Congrats!
Out of the over 150 cars I've owned my FJ is hands down my favorite. 225,000 miles on her as of today and I've never had to change anything but brakes and oil, yet
I bought an 07 back in October with 169k miles on it. Just passed 177k yesterday. The best car I’ve ever owned. I don’t have to worry about a thing! I’m happy that you bought one too, that tells me I didn’t make a bad buy
Hello, Mr. Wizard. This is my first time on your channel. I really enjoyed this video. I just purchased my first FJ Cruiser 2 weeks ago. It has 220,000 miles. I wanted to start off right so I took it into Toyota and had them change ALL the fluids, a new lifetime battery, new plugs, 4- wheel alignment, rear wiper, and fix a tiny crack in the windshield. I have no rust underneath either, so I'm hoping to get many more miles out of this unique looking vehicle. I hope yours gives you many years of enjoyment. Keep us posted.
I recall seeing a US Top Gear episode with offroad challenges back in the early 2010's. The big guy has one of these and it went everywhere, with no probs. The other guys had hi end range rover and cherokee. The Toyo took it all like the champion it is.
I’ve had an ‘07 since just before they were discontinued in 2014. It’s consistently done everything for me from the backwoods and side by side trails of Alabama to towing on the interstate and everything in between without any work whatsoever besides general maintenance. Fantastic platform, dead easy to maintain, and the people on the forums were always really helpful
Got a chance to drive one when I worked for Toyota. Instantly fell in love with them. Not just the engine, but the whole dang thing is darn near flawless. Those as you know are bult to LAST. I can see them still on the road 30, 40, 50 years from now.
We were looking for a new car when we lived in Dubai, the dealer gave us one of these to test drive for a week,I thought it looked slightly odd at first but after the week was up we couldn't bear to part with it,so we bought a new one,had it for 2yrs,done 26K,not a hiccup,no regrets perfect! One great benefit was the amount of short-cuts across the sand you could take effortlessly(2008)
Why do you think certain governments and car manufacturers are pushing for electric vehicles? They want you buying something you have to replace every 10-15 years instead instead of selling you a car that can last 50+.
I've got an 07 Toyota Matrix, 230k miles, drive it 60 miles a day to work, 80mph the whole way. Driving it 20 hours round trip to Florida and back in two days. Love it.
Please do a series of upgrades / mechanical videos series for things you do with the FJ. Love your stuff wizard. Good choice. Have had my FJ for 7 years now.
Thank you for this video Car Wizard. We are TOYOTA family, I drive a Tundra and my wife’s daily driver is an 07 FJ with 175,000 miles. Other than scheduled maintenance and an alternator, it has been a great vehicle. We are in Oklahoma. Ours is rust free.
Fellow FJ owner here, congrats! I cannot say enough about Falken Wild Peak AT's...incredibly civilized and smooth on the tarmac and unstoppable in snow/mud/off road.
@eastcoastmountainbiking6428 OK, mine has Bilstein. I wasn't sure if all of them did or not. Was the gauge pod on the dash part of it too?. I've seen some that did not come with that. I think the A-trak and Locking rear diff were part of Off Road also.. Mine has Off Road, and Convenience Packages and that's it. I added the steering wheel controls on the left for the radio, and a leather wrapped wheel so far. I love that Toyota wires all of them for every option.
@@scootypuffjr. Still have my window sticker from 2008. It is now a garage queen with 65K. The gauge pod ( Multi-information display ), came with the Off Road Package. The Offroad package required the Convenience Package. A-trak and the Locking rear diff were part of offroad. All FJs have A-trak, some did not come with the button which can be added on.
@eastcoastmountainbiking6428 Thank you, and congrats on the collectors item.😁 Mine is sitting at 98k miles right now but it will be adding up fast from here on out.
I have a ‘10 FJ as well. The dash box is great for insurance card and registration, but my favorite use for that box is to prop open the lid and use it as a cell phone holder. It’s perfect for driving and having “the map” displaying while traveling. *edit - there is a cabin air filter behind the glove box. Swap that filter to help with the K9 smell.
made without a diesel option, so sold mostly to usa and saudi market ,at that time those markets didnt like them .The rest of the world who went off road wanted diesel, so didnt buy them either.
It wasn't because of the diesel option, it has slow sales because of the recession, marketing and it was getting old in design land cruiser was discontinued in north America and is still sold in vast numbers throughout the world, no one cares about diesel, they have other land cruiser models for that which north America never sees
I had a 2012 Tacoma X-Runner , loved that truck . It had the same engine as that , but with a different less restrictive intake . The intake was a X-Runner only part. It was lowered 2” from the factory , had a six sped manual . And a body kit . 17 “ wheels with high performance low profile tires . That truck was awesome , I miss it .
Mine's an '07 with 214k and I love her. Nice work, Wizard! Really pleased with my Toyo AT3s for snowy weather in Colorado. Get some large size convex mirrors to put onto your side mirrors so you can see your corners to back up more easily. Also recommend some rainguards on the windows to make driving with the windows open a happy experience instead of getting wind whipping in your face.
FYI Car Wizard, Check the top of the roof rack. There’s four rubber plugs that can fall off probably going through the car wash. If missing, the roof rack can fill up with water and cause it rust or leak.
Wizard...now the prices will be going up more lol. You guys are becoming the go-to for learning about reliable vehicles. In this day in age with prices the way they are, folks are learning before they buy and its YOU who we are turning to. I have 3 used vehicles and 2 are over 125k miles. One is 220k miles so I know its a matter of time before I need to buy another but im not buying new these days. Prices are ridiculous and the quality have suffered so much the past few decades for vehicles. Thanks for the informative videos guys. Im a car guy and just love the simplicity and to-the-point of your videos. Keep them coming. Here's to millions more views
Congrats mate! The FJ was always my dream car and I've owned mine for 4 years with 200k kms and it hasn't missed a beat or had one issue with regular maintenance. I have taken it on all kinds of trails in Australia such as the High country mud and snow and the dunes of Robe and it hasn't failed to impress me once. If I was to lose this truck I'd be replacing it with another FJ. Great Video and awesome channel!
I had to choose between a 4Runner and an FJ Cruiser recently. I went with the 4Runner because it's more practical for daily use, but still very capable off road. Both are very cool and reliable.
Those 2 vehicles share a lot of powertrain like the 4.0 engine. I hope to get 300K miles out of my 4 runner. I almost bought a brand new 2010 FJ cruiser. They were about $32K brand new base model then and you had to order one and wait for it from Japan. .....Like an idiot, I couldnt wait and bought something else. 🙄
The Toyota FJ is great mechanically, but I find the cabin noise too loud, and under powered for the amount of fuel they consume. The 4Runner is a bit better.
The best thing about it being a 2010 is the newer, stronger 8.2” rear diff. Get the three peak snowflake rated BFG trail terrains if they make them. Your part of kansas sees enough snow and freezing rain, that having a vehicle to get somewhere in bad weather during an emergency can literally be a life saver.
@@scootypuffjr. I have not owned a toyota/lexus 4x4 with the 8.0 diff. But, the pre 2010 lexus GX and FJ cruiser owners that off road theirs more than the average user, have broken plenty.
I have a 07 fj with 120000 miles lifted that I off-road all over Montana and have never had an issue with the 8” diff. I have pulled out a 2 built Jeep’s that were not fun getting them out. Never let me down once.
2013 Trail Teams in Cement Gray (Cement Gray single color roof) here. It's a great truck but these, like every other 2000-2020 Toyota truck, have major frame rust issues. I think you're outside the salt belt but I would still STRONGLY recommend fluid filming the frame, especially the inside, regularly. I love mine despite the work I've had to put in to saving the frame. Get compliments from strangers all the time. FYI, they made them for overseas markets way after 2014. I think they were still selling them in one of the Arab countries until very recently.
I’m happy you and mRs wizard have build such a tremendous following in the auto repair RUclips corner . I compare your advise to an Uncle who has nothing but best intentions .
WIZARD! I knew you loved Toyotas, but this makes my day!!! This was always a sincere dream truck for me. I bought so many expensive vehicles after production ended but always said I’d get one. Just over a year ago I traded up from my 2020 Rubicon Gladiator to my 1 of 2,500 2012 Red Trail Teams Edition. Best decision I’ve ever made! Side Note*** Order a pair of convex side mirrors to replace the factory ones and you won’t have blind spot issues. They look factory at a glance, wide angle view without having to put on those stupid looking stick-ons from Autozone. Sincere congratulations! 🍾🎈🎉
Pick up some small stick on bubble mirrors to put onto the side mirrors, it will help reduce the blind spots a lot. They were the best cheap upgrade I did to mine. I wish I never sold mine.
IMO these trucks are even more fun with a manual transmission. I’ve driven many of them before both in manual and automatic transmissions when they come in for service at my job at the Toyota dealership. But both are perfectly good cars to drive.
I bought my '07 FJ on April Fool's day 2006 (just about a week after they came out). It will have just under 170K miles by its 17th anniversary. There was a six week waiting list, and they only had two 6 speed manual cars on the lot. The sales rep said that he could have sold the one I test drove ten times that day, had it been automatic. After telling him that I didn't drive automatic, he sold me the car (for full list) on the spot. That impulsive decision earned me Toyota's gift to the first 50,000 buyers, a detailed scale model of the car (in the same color as mine). I have also thoroughly enjoyed the ride I found so impressive. The six speed model is AWD, and sticks to the road like glue. There is no feeling of impending doom taking curves at reasonable highway speeds without braking. I also avoided the transmission bug that hit early model first year automatics. The gas mileage and the rear visibility are both poor, but I'm still in for the long haul (ju$t replaced the exhau$t $y$tem with it$ dual pipe$ and catalytic converter$).
I bought a 2014 cement FJ new and immediately stored it away. Bought a 2010 FJ to drive daily, and a 2008 FJ for some off-roading, and kayak/fishing trips with my daughter. Been waiting a good while for this video!
CONGRATS Mr Wizard!! I’ve been hunting for an FJ for about six months myself, but just haven’t found the one with my name on it,…YET. I’ve been a loyal Volvo guy but have two xc70’s with blown engines and thought it time for something d I f F e N t. We’ll see what’s in store for me, best wishes for you and yours.
Nice ride wizard! I also have a Fj Cruiser, mine is a 2008 with the 6 speed manual. Due to life circumstances I probably will have to sell mine this year which makes me extremely sad because I love it to bits it’s an awesome car!
To eliminate most of the blind spots you need to set the mirrors as far out as they will go and center the rear view mirror. You will notice that you will be able to see the vehicles in your blindspot without having to turn head very much. I guarantee it. It may seem odd at first because we are so used to seeing the sides of our vehicle. One important thing to remember and this is very important is not rely on the view when you are in curve such on or off a ramp.
To my knowledge the fj was discontinued in the US but alot of other countries its still being sold new, down here in South Africa I can walk into a Toyota dealership and buy a brand new 2023 fj cruiser with 2km on it. 😁🇿🇦
Great choice! Kinda strange that the FJ did not sell particularly well in its day. Now out of production, they are more sought after than when new. One humble suggestion: Michelin Defender LTX M&S. Great tires for mostly on-road use, winter weather, and light off-road. Smooth ride, quiet, good treadwear.
It started selling in 07. Remember that by 09 the economy had collapsed. Fuel was nearing 5$/gal and a gas guzzler like the FJ was expensive to keep fed. Sales ended in the USA in 14 but continued till 18 in Australia and 22 in the middle east, the last 1000 being special editions. I think if Toyota had kept the car in the US just 2 or 3 years more sales would have been back to the 07/08 numbers @ 50K or so units per year looking at the Wrangler and the Bronco's popularity. The FJ died of bad timing not because it wasn't popular. An affordable, excellent quality, capable vehicle will always have a market.
@@EthosAtheos wrong, the land cruiser died in America and is stupidly popular across the globe with wait times of years for new models, Americans love marketing that's why they drive and buy junk cars
@@theseph28 The land cruiser died in the USA because it is a 100,000$ luxury car and not a utility vehicle. You will note that the Lexus version that is even more expensive is still in production for the USA market. I agree US cars are junk. I'd never drive a Jeep.
I never really liked Michelin Defender LTX M&S for winter use in the Upper Midwest on my 97 4Runner. Too squirrely. Much prefer all weather tires like Michelin Cross Climate 2, Nokian WRG4 SUV
Wizard, NEW FJ AVAILABLE HERE! Your videos are always a highlight to my day. I love your FJ. Did you know that we in South Africa can buy a brand new 4 litre V6 FJ, the same as the original for $ 40 000. Has always been available here, but the steering wheel is on the right if course. Was discontinued in the USA in 2014, but not the rest of the world.
Nobody would buy it. Yeah, everybody thinks they're cool now, but look at the sales numbers, this thing had very poor sales after the first few years once everybody that was excited about it got one.. Not many people actually wanted a 2 door apparently.
Best vehicle I’ve ever owned!! Bought mine august 2006, sun fusion, auto, 4wd. Got 155k on the clock. Only things I’ve ever replaced were both cv joints, lower ball joints, both front wheel bearings, and right rear axle seal. It’s got an ome 2 inch lift, that’s probably the reason for the worn suspension parts, altering the angle. Also, still running all the original light bulbs! Enjoy your new FJ, welcome to the club! You going to roll the dice, and change the transmission fluid?
I’ve had one for over ten years now… very solid vehicle. The only thing to look out for is the windshield. Because of their lack of aerodynamics, they tend to get chipped.
The windshield in my 2012 FJ is wrecked right now. Rock thrown from state highway maintenance truck's tire would have come straight through if it hadn't hit partially on the cab post. I already had chips, but was reluctant to switch out the windshield because I've had so many friends who had leaks after having a windshield replaced. Now I have no choice. A driving rain would no doubt cause failure of my Gorilla Tape patch. 😄
My 07 Tundra SR5 4x4 has 287k runs great. I tow a 35 ft TT with no problems. Everyday driver. I worked pipeline for 9 years. The truck idled all day for years. When and if it quits I will look for another!!
It is! Every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday! And if that isn’t enough of seeing Car Wizard, you’ll see him on just about every episode of Hoovie’s Garage.
I agree with you on the current car model delema of cookie cutter cars as well as falling reliability. I had a Toyota Land Cruiser in the 70's and could go anywhere. Tried to buy a FJ in 2019 and just couldn't afford it. Take care of your find and it will surely take care of you!
My '07 has 258k on it. I put a tent on the roof and have driven all over the country. It's been great and I love it. Oh, that glove box thing above the steering wheel, you can put your phone in there horizontally and use your GPS. Just use your phone to prop up the lid and you can watch YT videos while you're traveling. One of my favorite quirks.
love our FJ and where it takes us .. "hidey hole above steering wheel", I have my tyre deflators, winch remote etc .. quick access when out wheeling .. our FJ has volume and phone controls on the steering wheel, weird seeing it empty .. put some new suspension in her and it'll handle so much better . it's a fantastic very capable vehicle, enjoy 😎
Nice rig, they look like all terrain tires, not super aggressive, prices are starting to come down though some are asking fantasy prices, you can find good deals.
Finally a RUclipsr that I like has bought one of these and I'm so glad it's my favorite one The wizard! I have always wanted to own one of these myself but I just simply can't and won't ever be able to afford it with the cult following it has. So at least this way I can see what it's like to own one and see one up close they haven't been showing up the car shows quite yet even in Florida. But I know these are already a future classic.
I have a 07 Voodoo Blue one that I bought new in Jan 08, $27,000 out the door, it has been a great vehicle, 100,000 miles now, nothing but brake pads, plugs, battery, the basic items needed, easy to work on, the truck will outlast me, the only drawback is gas tank size, maybe two hundred miles on a tank. Rides great I have Hancook all-terrain tires rides great very little noise. I love mine!
The FJ cruiser actually started life as a concept car and the concept was so popular it made production, they were still available new after 2014 for the Japanese market. It shares a platform with the 4Runner. Front and rear suspension is the same, drivetrain is the same, only major difference is the wheelbase, and the optional V8 only available on 4Runner. I don’t really care for the quirky blocky styling of the FJ cruiser though.
Congrats on the FJC. I used to own a black 2010 too, it was great but eventually traded it for its roomier cousin a Lexus GX460. I can tell yours also has the Off Road package by the wheels, diff locker, Bilstein shocks, etc., as mine did. And I'm guessing you know that in 2010 they upgraded the rear axle to an 8.2" diff which is much more robust off road than the old 8" diff.
Congratulations Car Wizard, very happy for you to get the one you always wanted, at 180K miles, is it even fully broken in yet? ^_^ Grateful for the great work you do here Car Wizard, always glad I watched is the consistent feeling upon reaching the conclusion of every episode watched.
The frame on these is essentially the same as a 4Runner, so the big open space under the rear would have been where the spare tire went on a 4Runner but obviously it's on the back on the FJ Cruiser.
@@j_freed ....THEY got a diesel option in theirs, I think....thanks to the A-holes in our gubbiment that dont like diesel engines in our non-pickemup truks over here.
Actually, the frame is from the Land Cruiser Prado which was not sold in the US. I saw an ad from a company which sold a stainless steel second tank to put in that spare tire void and double fuel capacity (for around $1250, I think).
I’m surprised it took you so long to buy a Toyota you like after you talked so often about how reliable they are. It was almost like you had major stock in the company! Glad you did tho Wizard! Nice ride! 👍
Not really, Wiz deals with other people's cars 100x more often than his own so he constantly sees the advantage of Toyotas when it comes to the pain of big repair bills. For his own vehicle, completely different rules apply since he can look after these himself. He has more options & can have all the fun he wants because it's his own time. Mechanics can own crazy enthusiast cars!
These FJs are such tanks! Very much a modern take on the classic FJ-40s, right down to the build quality. Nice buy, Wizard! Would gladly take one of these over a Jeep or Land Rover any day! I remember when I went with my aunt to pick out a new car, visiting the local Toyota dealership to shop around. I distinctly remember seeing these FJs on the lot when they were brand new and was wowed by them. Then I later heard of their offroad capabilities and further cemented the fact I'd love to have one. (For those curious, my aunt ended up buying another Corolla and still drives it to this day.)
Nice!! I was going to get one of these but opted for a used 4-Runner instead! It’s an ‘05. Just had it inspected and aside from rotors the thing is solid! 135k miles and the fuel trim is almost perfect! I still love the FJ!
The fact that it has 3 windshield wipers are cool. Very nice truck been on it couple times when one of my good cowokers gave me a ride home cause of a blizzard and my Accord will not make it home. We both had a blast in it lol I want one ever since!
Hey wizard! Im not sure what you have planned, but i really do recommend doing sound deadening the vehicle. Its made such a difference for me especially for long trips and high wind areas. It does a good job at containing heat too. For anyone that recently got the vehicle, please change your spark plugs, air filter and clean the MAF as soon as you get the vehicle. It's made a huge difference in ride quality and performance.
I hope you didn't trade off the Citroen for this. My 1993 Toyota pickup that I bought new has 310,000 miles and is still running great and uses no oil. Hard to go wrong with a Toyota.
Enjoy the FJ Wizard!!! I’m loving the Maserati! I may have a hard time getting rid of it.

Hello, Mr.
I bought mine new in March of 2007. It’s still my daily driver and has just over 291k miles on it. Last new vehicle I’ll buy for myself.
I've got an 07 FJ cruiser Vodoo Blue, automatic with 85k miles. Hands down the best car I've owned
Congratulations Wizard!!! Welcome to the club
I had the exact feeling when I got my 2010 FJ Cruiser this December. It was a dream come true
I've owned 14 Toyota's. Never had any serious issues with them.
Excellent rigs. Everyone I know who has owned one has regretted letting it go.
I've got an 07 Toyota Matrix, 230k miles, drive it 60 miles a day to work, 80mph the whole way. Driving it 20 hours round trip to Florida and back in two days. Love it.
Congrats - I scored a 6 speed manual in 2016 - about exactly 7 years ago. I feel exactly as great about it now as I did then.
I have the falkens aswell 2nd set now and they are so good in the winter.
I love them I got them as pizza cutters
Good to hear. I'm running Toyo AT3s and loving them, but glad to hear the Falkens are good too.
@@atomicfrijole7542 Also running Open Country AT3's on mine.
16" wheels were used on the Off Road Package, Trail Teams, TRD, etc . 17" was the base model size.
Bilstein shocks were also part of the Off Road Package
Solid FJ Wizard! Those vehicles are difficult to find at a reasonable price. Thank Mrs. Wizard for her portion, excellent team. More please!
Congrats Wizard! I appreciate your eye for unique style and this has always been one of my favorites. Please keep us updated on this one!
That driver side upper dash compartment is perfect for my Glock 😏
@@SCBiker58 .....hope it doesnt get too hot to hold!!! lol
That's awesome! I'm going to have to try that with mine and use the dash box to hold my phone when needed. Good thinking!!
If you live in a hot climate you could put your lunch in it in the morning and it will be cooked by mid-day.
Apparently, Wizard has the extremely rare 1 of 1 Toyota FJ Cruiser B*tch Edition.
The FJ are incredible vehicles, and I'm shocked they stopped selling them.
made without a diesel option, so sold mostly to usa and saudi market ,at that time those markets didnt like them .The rest of the world who went off road wanted diesel, so didnt buy them either.
@@mp-db5nq You can still buy one today at Middle East Toyota dealers .........like in Quatar
It wasn't because of the diesel option, it has slow sales because of the recession, marketing and it was getting old in design land cruiser was discontinued in north America and is still sold in vast numbers throughout the world, no one cares about diesel, they have other land cruiser models for that which north America never sees
kerrylewis this is the final year 2023, the FJ Cruiser will be selling in South Africa,up north of Africa and in Saudi Arabia.
X runners were based on the 5 lug stuff. It's just a little different then the 6 lug stuff the fj comes with.
@FURTIVEGESTURES Hah! I bet so! Just picked up a 2021 4Runner OR with 40k on it -- it's just a baby! 😆
Agreed
Congrats Car Wizard! I have a 2014 FJ that I got three years ago. Freaking love it. Building it to an overlander.
Our neighbor has a blue one. Special ordered when they first came out. Loves his “FJ” as he calls it. Treats it like a second child/ garage queen.
I had to choose between a 4Runner and an FJ Cruiser recently. I went with the 4Runner because it's more practical for daily use, but still very capable off road. Both are very cool and reliable.
I would have gone with the FJ. But to each their own.
The 4Runner is a much quieter ride!
FJ has been an amazing daily ride for me for 7 years. If I didnt have it I would look for a 4 runner but luckily I have an FJ...
We're all of the 8" diffs bad news, or just the first batch? I've seen the biggest issues with the 2006 built '07 models.
The goodyears on there on snowflake rated
@@gearwrench1davis392 Yeah, but they're Goodyears 😂
2013 Trail Teams in Cement Gray (Cement Gray single color roof) here. It's a great truck but these, like every other 2000-2020 Toyota truck, have major frame rust issues. I think you're outside the salt belt but I would still STRONGLY recommend fluid filming the frame, especially the inside, regularly. I love mine despite the work I've had to put in to saving the frame. Get compliments from strangers all the time.
FYI, they made them for overseas markets way after 2014. I think they were still selling them in one of the Arab countries until very recently.
Yup, 2023 is the last year for the FJ all over the world , my fully loaded FJ got only 6000 miles on it 😊
I’m happy you and mRs wizard have build such a tremendous following in the auto repair RUclips corner .
What company did you order your convex mirrors from?... Having difficulty finding them for the FJ.
Pick up some small stick on bubble mirrors to put onto the side mirrors, it will help reduce the blind spots a lot.
They were the best cheap upgrade I did to mine. I wish I never sold mine.
I just did this very same thing to mine. World of difference.
That’s hardcore, one of the greatest Toyota’s ever made!
😊
What is about 2014 year? Why store it?
@Paul Steve Rodriguez last year it was made.
@@evanray8413 I think they are still made for foreign markets. We're talking North America.

When has EuroAsian Bob *NOT* hit a home-run?!! The dude is *MAGIC* when it comes to finding *SERIOUSLY* great vehicles!!!
IS EUROASIAN BOB.....HALF EURO/ASIAN DECENT?
To eliminate most of the blind spots you need to set the mirrors as far out as they will go and center the rear view mirror. You will notice that you will be able to see the vehicles in your blindspot without having to turn head very much. I guarantee it. It may seem odd at first because we are so used to seeing the sides of our vehicle.
One important thing to remember and this is very important is not rely on the view when you are in curve such on or off a ramp.
Congratulations Wizard! I got one about a year ago and love it. I hope you have just as much fun with it as I have so far!
We are just stewards of these Toyotas, keeping them on the road for eternity. 2010 was a GREAT year for the platform!
To my knowledge the fj was discontinued in the US but alot of other countries its still being sold new, down here in South Africa I can walk into a Toyota dealership and buy a brand new 2023 fj cruiser with 2km on it. 😁🇿🇦
I approve! Welcome to the FJ gang. If you decide to supercharge, you’ll not regret it; it completely changes the character of the FJ.
Aint no way he gonna Supercharge it lol
@@01Elantraaa - Yea, I know, but I wanted to put that out there.
You can get 1 2023 FJ Cruiser Last Edition here in Colombia
An affordable, excellent quality, capable vehicle will always have a market.
because it had the 4runner and tacoma and thundra to compete with lol
I guess the Rural Postman in America could use a right hand steering FJ--$40,000 still a good price for a New one....
@@randybeard6040 I suppose so, although expensive on gas!
I always loved the FJ, they totally need to bring it back
Nobody would buy it.
How is that rolling the dice? It's not a Ford.
If your transmission is held together by Gunk you probably shouldn't keep the car anyway. Just change the fluid

This is going to sound really weird, but your voice along with your microphone is soothing. Perfect for ASMR and puts me to sleep.
Hands down one of the coolest cars ever made, when you combine that with bulletproof reliability, is there a better vehicle?!

Gx460 is essentially a Land Cruiser with a Lexus badge, right?
@@zacharypeery4082 Land Cruiser Prado, yes, with the upgrade of a V8 and various luxury doodads. Same chassis as a 4Runner and FJ Cruiser.

The frame on these is essentially the same as a 4Runner, so the big open space under the rear would have been where the spare tire went on a 4Runner but obviously it's on the back on the FJ Cruiser.
It's actually for a second gas tank. The Aussie and other miles can come with an extended tank.

And a RAV4 for his daughter he has since sold
Not really, Wiz deals with other people's cars 100x more often than his own so he constantly sees the advantage of Toyotas when it comes to the pain of big repair bills.
For his own vehicle, completely different rules apply since he can look after these himself. He has more options & can have all the fun he wants because it's his own time. Mechanics can own crazy enthusiast cars!
he's been watching Scotty Kilmer videos lol😂
Well I guess if you are a mechanic you can afford to drive more risky cars, but it is definitely the wise choice.
Welcome to an incredibly better life. May the Toyota be with you.
