8 years later and your video is still helping people! I just picked the Rebel up and headed to our cattle farm for photos but was overwhelmed by the buttons! Thanks for the great tutorial 🙌📸
@Yamato and here you are watching a tutorial on a so-called beginner's camera because you do not know how to operate it even though you have canon 5d et cetera
This was super clear and concise and very helpful for me as I get reacquainted with my T3i Rebel before going on a long-term international trip. Thank you so much! It saved me from having to dig up the tedious DVD that came with the camera. Truly appreciate your wealth of knowledge.
That was AWESOME!!! I've taken so many beginner classes and life got in the way. Finally getting back to my camera. This was the best education out of all the beginner classes I've taken.
For sure the very best explanation of the Canon 600d camera functions. Really makes the learning curve so very much easier and simple. Appreciate the time and trouble you took to make this video.. Thank you. I look forward to more of your videos
A big thank you. I am borrowing my son's camera which he bought second hand without a manual. This has really helped me get a good start on the settings. Top job, much clearer than other videos on this camera!
I must say, you are the best that I have seen. I have been searching for videos for this DSLR (T5i) and wow!!! Thank you. Like I said, you are the best. So clear, and you know your stuff. Thanks again.
Picking up a Rebel in a few hours and I’m so excited! My mom had one when I was little and used to do photography professionally but stopped. She picks up her camera occasionally. Ive done some photography but not with a decent camera cause they seem so intimidating but I’ve been interested in learning and getting my own camera. I finally had a chance to get a camera with some funding from a local car group! They’re gonna help pay for one for me to use in exchange for some shoots! Im so excited!! Thank you for the tutorial!
This helped out so much!! I just got this camera and just wanted to know the basics to the camera and I was watching all these advanced videos abt words I haven’t figured out yet but know I feel a lot more comfortable going back and watching those, again thank you so much this helped out a lot!!😊
I am getting ready to take my daughters senior pictures , this video helped tremendously. Is there a book or video you have that may help go over all the meanings? Like the aperture etc ? I’m never sure what setting to use durning some situations like low lights or bright sun. Thank you.
Very good! I just got my camera today, and there is so much to learn. I think after going through this video a few times I will have a pretty good understanding of it. Thank you for doing this!
Man this is the best instructional video I’ve seen thus far concerning this camera. That is your gift! I haven’t fully checked out your channel but I would love to know more about the video pointers of this camera.👍
Thank you for this video!!! I was gifted my t3i and wanted to know more. I do have a question, it is worth for studio shooting? Such as strobe lights? I have been trying to work with my strobe but it isn’t budding
The asterisk symbol (*) on this camera refers to the auto exposure lock. When you push this button, the camera will lock the exposure settings to whatever they currently are, regardless of any change in lighting or camera position. In other words, the light meter is locked in place. This can be useful when shooting scenes that have very bright and very dark areas, and you want to expose for one, but have both areas in the shot. You can switch to spot meter mode, then hover over the area in the viewfinder that you want correctly exposed, and hit the AE Lock button (*). This will lock the exposure, keeping it from changing as you recompose in the viewfinder to take the actual photo. It's also a common mistake for people to forget they have the AE Lock on, so make sure to turn it off when your done!
I'm trying to locate the electronic level on the T3i and having difficulty finding it. Can you address that? Thank you! I loved all that you showed in this video!
The T3i does not include an electronic level. The manual for the camera only talks about using the grids available in live view mode to use as guides to help you level the camera. You can access them by turning on the live view and pressing the "Disp." button until you cycle through to the grids.
i just got mine today from a pawn shop since this is discontinued where can i get things like batteries and other parts? also, what is that chrome bit on top of the flash?
Prime Studios so if I hit format what all will be erase / will I loose my custom picture styles I have set/ or will it only erase videos and pictures I have on camera
AlexTube12 I mean I am always happy to help those who wish to learn more about photography! The phrase "you bet" in this context means "you are very welcome!"
Some times I try to take a picture and it won’t shoot. A flashing red light on the bottom right goes off. What am I doing wrong? What does the red flashing light mean?
In this context it usually means that there is an issue with the memory card. Most often it's that the camera is not done writing the previous image to the card and thus doesn't have enough spare memory to take another photo yet. It may also mean that the card is too slow and you need one that can transfer data faster.
is it normal for all camera functions to cease when a usb cable is connected to the camera and a pc for transferring photos taken. Only the communications between the camera and the pc remains open
This does often happen yes. Usually when a camera is connected to a computer it will act like this unless a special program is open for tethered shooting, like Adobe Lightroom or something similar.
It is likely because you are not using a fast enough memory card. You need one that has a symbol on it that looks like the letter 'C' with the number '10' in the middle.

i just got mine today from a pawn shop since this is discontinued where can i get things like batteries and other parts? also, what is that chrome bit on top of the flash?
the chrome thing on top is a decorative hood ornament.
the best place to obtain batteries would be at a ship chandlery.
2024 and I just learned a few things didn't know. Great Tutorial
Is there a way to make sure the live view doesn’t go off every few seconds automatically

Please tell me how to turn on the LCD OF CANON 600D EOS .
Hitting the "Info" button will cycle through the display modes on the 600D.
I have one more problem my auto Focus is not working what could be the problem, but manually its working...!
This was awesome
Thank you super helpfull!!!
much okey with this
But why does it auto stop filming after 8 seconds
It is likely because you are not using a fast enough memory card. You need one that has a symbol on it that looks like the letter 'C' with the number '10' in the middle.
@@PrimeStudios that's exactly what it was. It's a fantastic camera absolutely brilliant quality.
