      Gonna subscribe to the other channel as well. Enjoying your content. Thanks.

      I have this mic the RODE video Mic Pro. I also have the Stereo version. I am trying to use either of these mics for both podcasts and on camera with my Google Pixel 4XL. And insta360 One R. On my Pixel 4XL I am using the app Filmic Pro. I get sound out. My Pixel phone and app both detect the mic. It is just that the audio amplification is just low. Even setting the switch to +20dB. The on board mics pick up much better louder even though there is going to be much more room noise. The Rode mic sounds good on my Canon 70D camera. And the levels are good. Maybe it is the DAC in the Pixel phone and insta360 just does not work well with this particular mic. What are your thoughts. My RODE NGT2 Mic sounds great connected to a SURE MVI into my Pixel 4XL. Nice levels and everything. The RODE mics connected to the SURE MVI still sound low volume even if I put the mic right up to my mouth. Any Thought would be appreciated. Thank You.

      @@johnm.gerard1718 I've never owned any other phones besides iPhones and have never used Filmic Pro so can't really speak to it but perhaps the Pixel has it's own built in amplifier that you can't control. Maybe you can google 'app to control audio setting Pixel' and see what comes up?

      I don't do theatrical events but with spotlight on someone, you'll have to just lower your ISO and maybe even raise your aperture. The rest of the stage will likely be too dark to see but at least the soloist won't be washed out.

      Hey thanks for jumping on board Jennie! I recommend using the kit lens to start, then if you want to do more photography, get a Canon 50mm lens (it gives a really really nice blurry background). If you're doing more video, get a Canon 10mm-18mm because that lense will be very wide, meaning you can get a lot in the shot.

    • @gibsonedu
      @gibsonedu  4 года назад

      Athletic stuff is almost always filmed at the highest frame rate. Looks ‘higher energy’ and looks better when you put it in slow motion.
      With the T3i, the highest frame rate is 60fps. You’ll want to set the shutter speed to 120 if you do that. Lower your aperture as much as you can and then raise the ISO only as much as you need to

    • @gibsonedu

    So when I usually record indoor I have to set it at 6400 iso and it’s still low then I have to changer shutter higher to actually see image.
    But I do notice it gets grainy so you generally need to stay at 1000 iso just invest in a ring light maybe?!?
    I just have a hard time getting the video image to show bright enough to see

    • @gibsonedu
      @gibsonedu  3 года назад

      Yeah with a budget camera like the T3i, the best way to get a brighter image is to have more actual light in your shot, be it with a lighting ring or filming in front of a window or just using a lot of lamps. More expensive cameras can raise the ISO a lot higher without getting grainy.
