- Located along the Bay of Fundy in New Brunswick, Canada, Hopewell Rocks Park is both a geological and tidal wonder. Check out nature's sculpture gallery in the form of "flowerpot" rocks while waiting for the most unique phenomenon in the Bay of Fundy: tides, extreme tides. The high tide/low tide differential can occasionally be as high as 53.5 feet (16.3 meters). So head on over, buy your ticket, and go see for yourself!

Best time to visit Cape Breton is during the fall when it's full of colour. Every curve of the road presents an incredible view. Follow the drive with a trip to the Fortress of Louisburg on the extreme east coast, it's Amazing! Don't miss the Alexander Graham Bell Museum in Baddeck. The Cape is a wonderful place to vacation.
My friend took me here ...Bay of Fundy absolutely amazing tides..
Hii
I live in England Uk, in a coastal town, alongside the Bristol Channel. Which has the second highest tides in the world
We were warned, planning a geo day on the beach, to start to hang around the staircase well before the tide was due. If we missed the tide, we were to find the highest rock we could and get comfortable - it was going to take a while, like 10 hours.
Why isn't this recommended? I recommend this videos.
On the flattest beaches the tide moves in at approx 30mph. Much faster than anyone can run.
Fundy picked the right bay to own
I've never knew that New Brunswick had this!
That is all it has.
I visited there when I lived in N.S.
We were caught out and got scared not getting back to the stairs in time.
That's a beautiful place. It's a pitty the water looks so dirty and not like the regular ocean. I assume it's that color due to the ocean floor in that area.
Please tell me the rock on the right at 2:46 is named after a bear. It looks like a bear sitting down
2:50 See the "bear"?
Also at 4:10
Right next to "penis" rock?
Thx for great video. How many Maga Americans are swept away by the tide each summer? "Oh, that tide table doesn't apply to us." (BTW, Reaganite Repub here.) Hoping that Canadians do some heavy advertising to Fla and Tx.
Any quicksand on the mud flats?
Cape Breton and Hopewell Cape are not in northeastern Canada. They are in southeastern Canada. Check a map.
Thats really funny!! God invented wars to teach Americans geography.
How come there were no barnacles or mussels on the rock surfaces?
Don't like the tide
How long before the ocean claims Hopewell rock formations?
