We got over 30 inches of rain up here in Hendersonville north Carolina and surrounding areas it's a major disaster and they are calling for a second storm this coming week . please pray for those effected by the hurricane .
Sincere condolences to all the affected North of here. I have been through Irma and Ian and seen the devastation, yet I come from the hills and mountains of the North and have followed the unbelievable destruction the storm caused. Stay safe out there everyone, we are all in this together.
OH my, I'm am so glad you didn't bury the 350, Chris's rescue service was able to get it out without help, so glad, well on with the show, love the videos, will see what the hurricane does to all the hard work you've done, still watching the video!
When I watch Chris working the excavators it is hypnotic. All of the machines really. Maybe it’s the swinging arm of the excavators. Many times, even though he explains what he is doing, I find myself asking, what is he doing? None of the way he moves the dirt around makes any sense to me. Then, when he shows a completed section, I think oh wow, that’s what he was doing and it makes complete sense. He is a master artist with the biggest of brushes.
I can’t tell at all after rewatching the drone footage what shape the pods going to take once it’s all full, but I’m sure it’s gunna look good! I can’t imagine the amount of red tape/ planning, engineers, environmental studies etc I’d need if I tried to do that in my country, you guys are so lucky.
I don't know if it's just me but when your driving the dozer I can't hear a word your saying , I know your talking because of the subtitles. Keep up the good work and God bless your endeavours. John from the UK.
@dandan7726, Me neither, and I never have a problem hearing Chris talk so it must be because of where he is. I'll just turn my CC on and read what he's saying. I hope and pray for all of you down south. I'm up in the state of Maine so I'm safe.
Chris, that is the way you knowwhere the limits are without needing help to get unstuck. I think you know the best way to figure it out without costing time and money. 👍🏼
Fine looking job you got going on. Hurricane made a mess of alot of NC and TN. And surrounding areas. Day 6 no electricity or running water. Also got hurt at work. Joyful time im having.
I'm glad you have the experience with equipment rescue. Otherwise, you would have had to call Mike and Aaron 😂😂. That's going to be an interesting pond repair when you finally get back to the jobsite. Hope you're doing well and nothing bad happened on your farm or family. Great video, Chris.
I would love to see some videos of your ponds and lakes after they fill up. Especially the one that has the stupid tall dam behind their shop with a 1 to 1 back slope.
There’s 2 things that a person needs to know 1 the things that he can do & 2 the things that he can’t do, today you figured out some of what you really don’t want to do. Been there done that, it was scary. Be careful with this storm stuff. Thank you Sir for this video, it was fun.
That’s going to be one hell of a nice pond by the time you’re done with it. You still have a lot of work ahead of you to get it finished but this is one that I’ll really want an update on when it’s full. I always enjoy seeing the ponds you build when they are full of water. You’re doing a great job as always.
Hey Chris, So far - looking real good! Hope the storm doesn't undo all your work! Hope you & your farm make it thru the storm with minimal damage! Stay safe! Thumbs up! Jim
Reporting from storm damaged N. Fla. I am one hour drive north of Steinhatchee and still got hit with Cat 3 winds. Rain does not collect in the gauge going sideways. No house damage, a few mid sized cherry and water oak trees broken off half way up and lots of branch litter in the yard. 3 days generator, no landline, no Internet until this evening and life is miserable when you can`t watch your RUclips favorites. Best wishes to all who were affected, condolences to the families who lost a loved one.
Beavers are "activated", believe it or not, by the sound of running water. Once you built the coffer dam and stopped the flow of water, they had nothing to "trigger" them to build. Had the water level rose and began to flow over the coffer dam, then they would have began damming it up again.
You do such nice work and it's a pleasure to watch you build. Glad you guys made it through the hurricane without problems and look forward to the next step in this rebuilding. Thanks for sharing, Chris.
Cool stuff! Quick question : you mention you're surprised theres so much clay in that spot you're digging with the 350. Arent you digging into the previously built dam or core trench? Seems awfully close to the pond edge even though the water is low at the moment…
You made really good progress today a night day difference and should look mother nature made when finished. I hope the hurricane didn't cause to much trouble Chris as you see other are concerned as well. Cheer's old boy 👋
Well sir, with all of your experience handling/ operating equipment, and all the hydraulic power you have on site, in my mind, there is no such thing as stuck or buried, just temporarily delayed is all. I’ve witnessed you getting some machines out of some seemingly impossible situation. Looking good, pray you all come out of the storm as best you can, thanks for the update, enjoyed watching, be safe.
Here in Caldwell Co, we've been without power and water since friday @ 6am. Just got a text from Duke power saying we should get power by friday!!! Hope you faired better than we have!!! Sure could use one or ALL of your excavators as we have trees down EVERYWHERE!!!!!! Always enjoy watching you work sir, even if we are using a generator to do it 🙂
Have some swamp buggy races over that empty pond or mud hole. Did you say it's gonna be a little wet. Man those poor folks in eastern NC looks horrible, I hope they all get the help they need to recover. This project has been special and the excitement of fullfilling the owners plans with hydro- generator makes it even that more special. The finish will be excellant. Ya gotcha right hoof stuck in the muck but like many other times you just push and lift your self out.
'Pond whisperer' - now that is apt. That sliding feeling - hmmm. Even the best still have some things to learn. Hope there wasn't any damage at home LetsDig18 - terrible devastation in the US.
For this type of work by far my favourite all around dozer has been LGP D6N. Or what’s now a LGP D5. That machine will bulk material surprisingly well and is the best finish grading dozer in the industry. I’m sure anti-cat people will say differently lol. But high drives are superior.
Chris took the beast into the mud kings lear and almost lost it. Of course his expertise got him outta that dilima. It's friggen awesome how much dirt that beast can move in such a short amount of time. That damn is going to be way better once he's finished with it.
Chris question? I thought you had a Rake Bucket for one of the Machines. It would have been maybe better in some of that crap. We used it often on some wet land projects.
Not me. I look and wait for every video, I can't get enough of Chris's videos. I wish his videos were uncut just the raw videos 8-10 hours of videos would be fine with me
This is perfect for Chris he's not happy if he can't play in Mudd you listen to hi. His voice is up tick talkative he got the dozer stuck it was like Orwell let's play like a kid with his Tonka toys. I so much enjoy watching.
You Work on the Dam inside, and make the breadth and consoidate. A good Idea and drawing up. How the Proklamation Hurricane come what always with great Rain United. It's to hope this Weather to Tone down Himself. Good Video however.
Well I'm sure yall will get more than we did I'm in the Pensacola area but from all the videos up that way omg. It's unreal hope you and your family stay safe
Bamabass: "I had to bring in 2000 truckloads of clay to build my pond dam." Letsdig18: "I'll just dig a hole that I needed to anyways and I'll find what I'm looking for. 😂 Gotta love NC clay.
I think if I owned that dark house I'd want you to thin out those trees so the lake will be visible. Much easier to do it now rather than when it's full of water.
Chris is a great cowboy he got out of trouble and didn't hide a thing doing it. He was actually laughing about it but he will not repeat his adventures 😂
@@ryanhoward1013 He also said earlier in the same video.." I know my limits" And in this video he said "I should have known better" But who cares.. Even the best ones makes mistakes..
Prayers are out there for all involved, displaced, rescuer, repairer, etc. Bless you all.
Hope all of the Let's dig 18 family made it though the storm safe and well.

Doesn't happen often, but even letsdig18 gets into scary situations. Hope the hurricane wasn't awful in your part of NC. 👍❤🙏
Our family here in Alabama are praying for you and all the family's around you are safe. Please take care and stay safe ❤️🙏
That will be a nice little pond system. Thanks for the aerial views. Hope you do not have major storm damage. See you next week.
Waiting for post storm updates!

Its amazing what you can do with dirt and clay. Your videos are not just content, they are educational.
Thanks for the good job descriptions... Kind regards from Denmark
Am displaced from my home in Marion NC to Greensboro NC just a reminder of who is actually in charge pray for me

If the rains are to much to continue work, it would be cool to see all the ponds and water works you have worked on from a drone.
What a nice project, I love it! Gonna be an awesome transformation when it's done, can't wait to see the rest of the work 👍
What did you say a video or two back - DO NOT put biggest machine on job in danger zone.
Wow that storm was insane with all the flooding. Prayers for those affected

It’s not just you. The noise from that dozer was cancelling out his talking.
Can't Wait To See How To Tackle That Pond To Get It All Dredged Out

Hey Chris, So far - looking real good! Hope the storm doesn't undo all your work! Hope you & your farm make it thru the storm with minimal damage! Stay safe! Thumbs up! Jim
I have always thought you would buy a long-reach excavator... enable you to reach out and dredge the ponds.
His uncle John has one, but Chris says he isn’t fond of them.
You have it looking good Chris, some sticky clay! Good stuff!!!👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻
A new job looking good still a lot of work to do
It would be interesting to see photos from when the pond was in its former "glory" and see the improvements that you will have added.
I hope you are ok Chris
I bet you. When the 350 started sliding down that Hill you puckered up in a real hurry to get it out of there. 👍👍🙂🇨🇦

We got hit pretty hard in Georgia. Stay safe!
I know it’s already happened but if the storm goes to the west of you, you will be on the worst side. I hope y’all didn’t wash away to bad. 😍
This is going to look great when Chris is done.

The pond videos are the best.
Please keep all in North Carolina as well as other Southeast States hit by the storm in your prayers
Chris, you should Take all the mud and stumps out of the pond make it look nice

No will no effect dam
Chris I believe the phrase you were looking for was "It got a little western with the 350".
You made really good progress today a night day difference and should look mother nature made when finished. I hope the hurricane didn't cause to much trouble Chris as you see other are concerned as well. Cheer's old boy 👋
Going to need close captions when you run the dozer and talk at same time. Jokingly so, still enjoy watching you do your thing. Thank you.
Yup, the rest of YOUR clay is being hidden by those sneaky houses over yonder. Go get it!
Gonna be a nice pond .

created a little core trench there with your right track! :)
Your an artist with your equipment bud...ur very good..
You should go around the edge of the pond and dig out all the tall grass so he can fish his pond when it's time to
Damn good job for the time you had
You think it’s wet now just wait til all that rain comes in
We had 3in over here in Mebane. How much did you have in your area?
@@Justalittleoutoftown i really don’t know
Pack the clay down and displace the mud as you go, giving you a bit of a cofferdam? That worked out.
That clay is SOO good it turned the dozer tracks into slicks😂😊
“Note to self “😂😂😂
Just goes to show you can always learn something new.
Thank you and have a great week.
Looking good it’s all coming together
Looks like the pond below needs some dredging work done on it as well.
Nice video Chris.
I am so disappointed, I haven't seen one balloon yet. Keep pushing sir your doing an awesome job.
had to laugh with you , once machine was clear. A little intense I bet , admire your skill to get it out.
Each video from this project is making for great viewing bro, thankfully the 350 did not become part of the pond. Safe travels. Ken.

You need to get it the bucket that the 550 had on it the 3 pass bucket
Beaver is on vacation while you build his new pond.
Hope you all did ok
I wouldn't be surprised if you aren't on those beavers 'hit list'.
Thanks for the snake report on the last video Chris🐍🐍🐍
