    Many city people may not understand that beaver dams flood back roads and sometimes areas of farm land. These dams can become quite a problem to rural folks, especial farmers. Personally I think beavers are magnificent creatures, intelligent and resourceful. Regrettably when they build too close to humans, beavers tend to get the short end of the stick.

    One day the beavers will work out how to drive excavators from watching you. Then their dam building skills will really step up.

    Its just interwoven sticks and mud, but it can hold tons of pressure from water behind it.

    I understand beavers and their dams have a role in the ecology. However, people have the right to fields, buildings, and roads not flooded by beaver architecture. The critters sometimes need to relocate.

    It was found that beaver dams played a very important role preventing drought and managing flooding. Its foolish if not stupid to remove it.

    • @meiruetsukino3578
      @meiruetsukino3578 2 месяца назад +5

      The main reason for removal is if it’s affecting someone’s land or if it’s causing road flooding

    We humans thought we knew better. The beaver has no doubts to its behavior. The land was fine with beavers , then we came along and killed them, manufactured the land to our design then ask why did it fail. Yes, must have agriculture but stop burying food producing land under bitumen and concrete.
    It is not rocket science but we did teach a monkey to fly😢 so what is your problem.

      Not so far-he's off yet again renewing his imaginary "OSHA Training Certification." And if you believe he really has been/is OSHA trained as he claims [quote]:
      *_"I have been trained in culvert inspections for years with private co. and I am osha trained"_* then ask Post 10 in the comments or email him [like I did], re: how/where you can be trained "just like he did" because you are interested in doing the same thing, and would like information/direction.
      *I did that multiple times and he refuses to answer.* I wonder why? 🤔

      @@bigredc222 most of the videos like this say the beavers will probably build back the dam overnight, best way is to set traps on the trails going to the water and then disturb the dam a little, they get trapped that evening, repeat that process until you see the dam not getting repaired, then break it up for good. The beavers can also end up going to places you may not have access
