You have to love internet experts you guys do amazing work keep up the great videos
Good morning sunshines! Im glad that Im not one of those viewers who called you an idiot! Yall did an awesome job 5 years ago & today! Little sketchy at times! Lol! Much love and respect from Henderson Ga USA
I wish I had a driveway that looked that good. What a team! You two have fun and still get the work done. Thanks for the smiles, guys.
Great video. Still think Aaron needs to put his big boy panties on sometimes and just go for it instead of worrying so much. Love watching you guys in action. Do not ever get rid of Aaron. He makes the videos pretty funny. Thanks for letting me ride along.
Hard to believe it’s been 5 years . but I have enjoyed watching you guys a lot. Keep up the good work
The commandry between you and Aaron is golden
The highway dept here in western Mt, uses these millings to overlay county dirt roads that get a lot of traffic. It is very cost effective and I have seen them last for over five years, and sure beats the dust and chatter bumps!😄😄😄
That road held up great for all that time and heavy traffic.
That turned out very nice. Gotta keep the Mrs happy. Stay safe
It’s very funny that was your first blown up video as it was the first video of you that I watched. And the rest is history, thanks for sticking with it as I watch your new posts every time they come up.
Driveway looks awesome old loader and roller and MBTS. It all come together very well Jenna should be happy also win win win 🏆👍👋🇨🇦
The fact that it was five years ago already is crazy. Seems just like yesterday you put down those Millings. Time sure flys.
The drive came out looking great. I spent the last 30 years of my working life operating a truck mounted roadsweeper and here in New Zealand. Part of the job was picking up those millings that didn't make it up the conveyer on the mill and if we were close to our base some ended up there for the same purpose. The millings we laid in our yard lasted about the same length of time. In actual fact one council started trialing them on some of their gravel road about 3 years before I retired but I don't know how successful it was. If you spray a light coat of diesel over the heap then break it up and mix it with the loader, spray it again then load it it will liven them back up and give a better result.
Your at your driveway talking about spreading the load. Don't listen to others! You do what you want to do!!! The clumps are hard and will most likely not break up in the bed. You could put your front tires in the air or turn over the truck if your not careful!!! Feel your load!
That is a 200% improvement. Further, that roller is a beast, even though it struggled at times.
It's struggling because it's burning more oil than diesel. But it gets the job done 😂❤
It's funny that's how I started watching your videos was from that Redneck Paving video! 5 year's already unbelievable keep up the good work you guys.
Between you two and my 3 cups of coffee my day always starts out great and just wish it was every day as every day should start out with a good laugh and great content as i thought Mike was doing a burn out with the roller at the top of the hill for a second
Exactly! Well, now what? Gotta keep busy while waiting for the next episode! Hmmm, 2 choices, do the floors or give dog a bath.......nahhhh, time to check on the yard transformations! We'll have to bite the bullet waiting, rather patiently......
Driveway ended up looking good and that's what matters. I suspect the trick to being able to spread old millings is to pre-work them like cold patch. Spread em out on a hard surface and backdrag the chunks out shortly before they go on the truck. It adds a step to the process if you have a machine on site, but might be slightly superior product being better mixed than if it's worked on site.
The Driveway have a new Pavement urgent need full. Then the Winter come early. What to see, the new Pavement have bulk make and is not good from the Car to running. What a great Work more make. To last nevertheless a good Work. 💪
Thanks for explaining the smoke, I was curious.
Used that for a base on my driveway. We dumped it in piles, then spread it with tractor loader and rear blade.
Mike, this video was the first time since you posted about the recycling trailers fiasco that I seen those trailers. You did a great job boxing them in! 🎉
You could use a stand alone rock screen next to the millings pile. No clumps that way.
Beautiful job. As always you guys are awesome ❤❤
If this were the old days, I'd ask how many times the editor sneezed when they took this tape off the shelf, because it's been there for a minute. Millings are great, if you can get them. We seemingly cannot, because TX realized how much they were worth and began including them as pay for the construction projects.
Dirt Perfect collected some millings,
In order to do driveway fillings,
Some viewers have bitched
At the way it was pitched,
Mike was right, there was chunks in the spilling
😆👍
Do you also watch the Irish barn reno? Love your poems, keep em coming!
@@SusanBuckingham-ut2ez No, but I was kinda addicted to a Vietnamese homesteader that turned out to be a scam... I was quite Hanoi-ed!
Great job, guys !!!😊
Next time you can add a little water to the millings, and you will get better compaction, and the millings will set up better, Looking good.
The first dragon Palo Alto at the yard couple times and then loaded up
Old milling are harder to dump Aaron did a great job spreading and Jenna is going to know something is up lol great video thanks Mike and Aaron
You need one of your new rowers in there. So when he gets through doing, i'm making pack of me on as it goes, and then that way every time he packs me in and then you draw the truck on it, you're packing them in even more, so there'll be more packed in
Best money I ever spent on my driveway was asphalt millings. Pretty much maintenance free for almost 5 years now, even with a big hill in the middle of it.
Camerata was quite the operator during that contest!!😂😂😂
👍👍👍❤💛💙Buna MIKE . Tu cu Aaron , faceti lucruri minunate .Sunteti din cei mai buni .❤💛💙👍👍👍
I can’t believe that MBTS didn’t hook up the Bluetooth chains! Could he still be working for the other team? Keep up the great work guys!
I kept waiting on a runaway and seeing Mike jumping off as it went over the edge. Looks good. Momma, happy now.
Mike the key to any marriage, Happy wife equals happy life😊😊
Great job lads, I would like to see more footage of Aaron working that skid steer, that’s where the real skill is, fascinates me anyway 👍, cheers from AUS 🇦🇺🦘
Hi mike & mbts . That tirr compactor dose a nice job fir its era! And that new attachment they eork goid what i would if done be fir speading the new millings would of been to take the sarfires over it and then put down the new batch give it something to bond to like what you do with concrete! Also taking a torch to the milling helos too
Mike, Road Shavings as they're called in the UK are used all the time as a road surface or parking lot surface. As long as they are packed down they last a long time with minimal maintenance.
when you know better and let someone goad you into doing something a different way, is the only time you look silly. not an idiot. always do the thing you know. last time worked fine, this time a little more difficult. good job, looks great
It's a useful roller because you have the ability to see because your sat on the side and you can drive it sat on either side so you can see the side of the road properly 😅
As a retired truck driver I agree with not being able to spree that bulk material...i have dealt with those aggravating chunks.
We spray kerosene and old engine oil over all and it binds beautifully, just don't tell anyone. Actually no oil runoff due to absorption over 48 hrs.
That looks really good.
The driveway will be fine 😂😂😂
But how well is the driveline carrier bearing?
😂😂😂😂
That one view dumping stone looked like Honey I shrunk the man behind the screenings
Hi Mike & Aaron & it's is Randy and i like yours video is Cool & Thanks Mike & Aaron & Friends Randy
Awesome job DP and MBTS
Ok 2nd cup of coffee, and enjoining flashback on the DP History channel. I remember the last time you did the driveway and the fun roller ride 🎃. Looks great. see you on the next one 🤠
That sped up part at 30:30 shows you won the race in under 3 minutes 🤣😆😁
How about spray painting each chain link a different color so you know that you are even on each side of the back tail gate… just an idea… besides it would suit Aaron’s personality!😂
Drive way turned out great DP and MBTS
Respect 🫡
I thought it all turned out perfect man. Great job but your partner is better at running the loader and filling the truck. You two make a great team.
Best of luck to you all.
Hi guys my brother used this stuff for his drive and it’s over 10 years old it’s doing great it was a little tuff to spread out a lot of chunks 😁
Good morning Mike and Aaron😊😅❤
I have heard there is an emulsion you can spray on millings that will glue them back together faster than sunlight heting them up. Give Rudolph Bro.s a call and ask them.
Been there rode the lightning worst thing is getting slack pulling those chains tight
Yes! You had a single axel dump truck. That is the one you drove off into that curve at the bottom of the hill and got stuck. That was the very first DP video I ever watched. Not going to say what my comment was.
Time to build a massive shop/storage building there at the derby lot.
I watched Andrew's video he treated those machines like he owned them. But his buckets weren't empty when he turned back.
Happy wife happy life awesome job you guys
The only time I have ever had luck tailgating millings is when they are straight off the milling machine into the truck.
100% the exact same thing I was coming to say.
They’re still clumpy and can hang up but same here. If they’ve sat for awhile just plain forget it.
I've seen screened millings clump up in the body.
Larry and I have been spreading chunks of asphalt from a tennis court on his hilly driveway and it gets tracked in with a high lift then pulverized by big truck traffic. It works great
Could you not put a ditch on each side of your the driveway? That way, you know, take the menus. Escalator and dig out on each side and pile it up on the backside of it, so it runs down the way you want it to
Often see the highway contractors spraying the old asphalt with an oil/ tar solution before putting the new asphalt down. I guess it provides a sort of glue helping the 2 layers to stick together.
Looks like fun.
Nice old loader she sure comes in handy
At least you're not using cinders for roads, or worse running tracks. that or crushed slag from the steel plant was really tough on your knees.
I remember those cinder tracks, ouch! Poor hurdlers! It was called fly ash and came from the Detroit Edison power plants. Wow, that was back in the 60s! I still remember the pain, ha!
Good morning from Arkansas!
Cant believe I have been watching for over 5 years, just doesn't seem like that long. The old saying, a tradesman's personal tasks are always last to be completed.
That description if how you need to use the clutch like you do sounds like an excuse to go to an auction for a newer truck ☝🏻👍🏻🤩
Wait! He's gotta buy the Case first! That's why momma got the millings!
3rd video in a row with you driving the dump truck hauling material, you must be taking a liking to it. Lol. Have a great day boys looks great.
You know, in the time you kept MBTS waiting for the second load, he could have achieved world peace. Then out of the blue, late and on some random schedule, you show up and just dump more work on top of his already stellar hard work.
Must have been on another one of your vacations. ;)
I’m with MBTS, you’re going to buy something soon, like a Case excavator. Of course, you probably already bought that something since this is about three months ago.
Everybody knows it should have been 22 chain links!😜
6:28 The loader needs to get tagged with a DP decal 👍🏻
MBTS RULES
For a loader you're not a bad truck spreader. Material look rubbish to spread. Would have been so much fun to go skyward on this one for a great video. Just whip the skid steer out with the grader and it will be fine.
I.
Don't know, man behind the scenes. He's really been Loving on that new case.
MBTS is SOOO perceptive! Oh no, always livin on the edge! The crown machine worked good! Well, momma sh/be happy with this effort. Now, just go ahead and buy that Case! You KNOW you want it!
I think that the 140 has got a new home
Why do you think she got the driveway fixed? He's been salivating over that Case for months! Sold!
When they’re brand new Millings right out of the machine into the back of the truck they spread pretty nice other than that. They lump up and it’s not so much fun. Been there done that.
Good morning 🌞 that would have worked perfectly if there wasn't chunks.. lolol 🤦🏻 definitely look like a pro with 2b 😜 have a great day guy's 👍🏻💯✌🏻💨
Hello from Siesta Key Florida
He’s taking care of the mosquitoes Erin! 😂
I put asphalt grinding in my drive,5 semi loads w a pup n 8 years later they were gone.no sight of them today.they were put on top of stone n gravel.mostly all lime stone today.
We bought my in laws property, my father in law told me that it took him all 23 years of owning the property to develop the driveway to be what it is today! Every year for the first ten years he’d have a coupe loads spread over the driveway and by the next year the ground had swallowed it just about! After year ten it was an every other year till year 15 and now since then it’s an every 3-5 years! He added up one time what he thinks he spent over the years and it’s close to the original estimate he was given by a contractor to properly build the driveway and haul in rock and good base! He just didn’t have the funds to do it properly debt free up front so he took it year by year and kept the pot holes away! We have a clay base with 12-18” of good farming soil on top and the whole property used to be a tobacco farm. She started with a virgin driveway and 5-10 inches of road base then gravel depending on certain parts of the driveway! It’s a long driveway with a circle drive at the end/bottom of grade! U can imagine what he was quoted to have a proper gravel drive put in that a contractor would stand behind! Today it’s perfectly hard packed and I only have to have enough gravel delivered every 3-5 years to maintain it with my box blade on my tractor!
PEOPLE that don't know what are talking about needs to keep there mouth shut and ears open. Then they will learn something.
Agreed. I tell my kids: hear all, believe nothing. You can trust, but you need to verify.
Aaron, don't forget the classic excuse I'm dirt perfect not mailings perfect😮
new MBTS pop hit Wheelie in the sky staring DP the PEPSI Man
i from UK nice video, the chain links on your tipper , no 21 link have Aaron paint a nice yellow, same on the other side, ( Aaron we need one more load ) ( MICK YES I THINK SO, ) that was a first 4 me, and then mick ( YES YES WE CAN DO THIS ) mick let's take a look at Aaron,s shop. 😎😎
The Case 140 is the purchase mbts!
Mike pls look in to mounting a vibrator on the truck bed so the material don't stick? You don't need a big one a small will do. It do wonders with dirt, frozen stuff , mixed material . Easy to mount 4 bolts and just a push button when you want to activate it. Make it easy to dump... way less tipping over risk :P
Just try it you will not regret it. Dump Truck Body Vibrator
if your not sure do a test take a electric motor on the shaft mount a half moon weight and clamp it/bolt it to the bed you will see the effect and after that you can see if you want to have one or not.
Rolling in the driveway, might as well fog for mosquitoes while I'm at it, lol.
You got the best utube channel their is you and Arron make fir a great show
Thank you
You got a way of spreading them I wouldn’t even try them live pto are the trick if your spreading gravel a lot but don’t put your lunch box anywhere around it so when your going down the road and your bed starts going up lol I wouldn’t know I just figure that wouldn’t be fun.
Perfect, you the man!
lol you can’t spread millings unless you run it through a crusher first and even then you have to hurry because it don’t take long for them to clump back up we tried to do that when I was hauling millings in sc one guy about turned over so we quit lol
All the smoke from the roller will keep the bugs away.
They guys are fixing the driveway to make the wife happy. MBTS is right, he’s buying the new dozer and retiring the D4G. I do the same thing when I want to buy a new firearm.
Mike, just tell her: “honey, I don’t know why you’re mad, we’ve had that new piece of equipment for years. I just cleaned it up to make it look purty.”
Spreading, fine,
Uphill, oops?
Lucky, lucky?
I think if you loaded the truck straight off the plant it might work
My hat is off to you for trying
