I don’t know if I’ve ever thanked you for this content. There’s no venomous politics, controversy, or culture war nonsense. Just men working and enjoying the fruits of their labor. Thanks, Squatch!
Thanks Squatch And a big thank you to Senior for the camera work and commentary 👍 I'm guessing if you didn't know what you were doing when fetching trees down we wouldn't be watching this video And the only limbs broken were on the trees
The opening with the sound of that diesel motor rumbling through the woods was awesome. Makes you think of a time when you would have heard that sound on a regular basis
The RD-6 runs great and what a powerhouse. I enjoyed you and Senior working together on this project and Seniors commentary is awesome. Thanks Squatch for another very enjoyable video.
I have a new respect for suspicious trees in a position for possible building damage after seeing all the chaos from Hurricane Helene. Always good to hear the RD-6 engine music!
Squatch, I truly enjoyed watching. I could almost smell Fall leaves, fresh dirt and diesel smoke. Bring back memories of working with my father and our D4 7U in the woods. Thank you, Boe 👍
Good job you two. Less rotten trees and more space to work within. Probably not the best firewood that came out of these 3 trees. But in bad times anything that burns is fuel.
Watching you tear around the farm on the RD6 and giving it a workout is magnificent. You would of loved my D9g. I hope it makes it way into the new red building. Blessings to you and your family
Excellent video the old Rd 6 sure runs nice. It's really dry there too . I dug a power line trench in western Minnesota and I had a awful time in the rocks and clay with my big tractor backhoe it would slide all over the place on the outriggers . It was a good plan to get rid of the trees from near the building. My old yard was full of trees years ago and they wrecked some of the roofs with the leave mat kept the shingles wet all the time and the shade didn't let it dry out properly
Your RD-6 sounds like the 4 cylinder English Electric RK4 four cylinder "Thumper" diesel engine generators for the diesel electric traction system, fitted to the British Rail Southern Region class 201 Diesel Engine Multiple Unit trains. These engines were originally designed in the 1930s, for harbour tugboats, service boats and pilot launches. They have a 10 inch bore by 12 inch stroke. These engines came as inline 4, 6, 7 and 8 cylinder versions and as V8, v12 and V16 versions. They had turbochargers from 1940 onwards and 4 valve heads from 1951.
Dang - You guys are getting really good at these videos. Shots of that beautiful land just don't get old - If you can get it to hold still, there's a painting in there somewhere. LOL
Thanks for the video Toby. I love the sound of that machine as well. You can get killed going for groceries just as easily as using the rd6 and a cable to pull over a tree. When your time is up it's up! Cheers
Your whimsical humor and strong videography made a great opening scene. This beautiful time of year certainly helped. Have you been studying production, or is it a natural artistry (which you demure) developing? Whatever it is, keep going. Your worked has evolved for sure! And thanks for teaching me how to take down trees. Its been very useful.
A chain is only as strong as its weakest link, and it not only shows the some of the true power of a cat D6 but it also shows how dangerous it is when a chain breaks.
I've spent my youth in the woods clearing tops and trees that needed to be cabled down the timber crews managed to ruin plenty of trees that would have been descent trees had they not scrubbed them and marred then with grapples and skidder chains trying to take the harvested trees and managed to leave a lot of waste. On almost 500acres of farm woods.
Thanks for the video Toby! Nice to hear the RD6 back up and running again! Was that what was in the lean to of the red shed? Can’t wait for the next video!
If the tree comes down without you being reckless and both of you have all your limbs and digits, that's fine. I worked in the bush for 10 years and saw a lot of nitwits get hurt and 1 of them lost his life.
@Squatch253 Well I tried, but it appears once folks figured out Track-Man's secret identity, they need to wave around that they solved the secret puzzle. If i push any more I suspect a tone change of the group might happen and I don't want to be "that guy." Sorry man. Keep up the great videos. They may know Track-Man is Bruce but at least they don't post where the Track-Cave is located. 😂
I'm new to your channel, just wondering... what state are you in? With that many birch trees, I'm sure you are in the north. We don't have many birch trees here in southwest Michigan but do up north. I enjoyed the video. Have a Jesus filled day everyone Greg in Michigan
What do you use as a fuel additive in your gas and diesel equipment as some machines may sit for 2 years between runs with [I assume] fuel sitting in the tanks and systems?
the ones that complain about pulling down trees just don't have the toys to do it with, lol why not cut a drainage path before you put the 2025 team to remove that bank ?
I don’t know if I’ve ever thanked you for this content. There’s no venomous politics, controversy, or culture war nonsense. Just men working and enjoying the fruits of their labor. Thanks, Squatch!
Hear, hear!
Social media at its very best. :-)
Such a snowflake woke comment. You must be a democrat ;)
Dilly dilly.
That machine deserves a spot in the Red Shed.
Senior does a great job with the camera and with narration. You two make a GREAT team.
You and Senior are safety 1st people. The arm chair safety committee needs to disband and do some real work.
The RD-6 is a animal!! I enjoyed watching and listening! The snatch block method worked great! I will be looking forward to the tumble-bug day(s).
Thanks Squatch
And a big thank you to Senior for the camera work and commentary 👍
I'm guessing if you didn't know what you were doing when fetching trees down we wouldn't be watching this video

Nice to see the Monster again. You did what you could to be safe and that is all you can do. It will be fun to see the tumble bug action again.
The RD-6 runs great and what a powerhouse. I enjoyed you and Senior working together on this project and Seniors commentary is awesome. Thanks Squatch for another very enjoyable video.
Cannot explain that sound of the RD6 running...
Deep throuty pounding with mix of squeaky rolling.
Love it
Love that RD-6, it's not just the power but the sound. love it....
Nothing purrs like a cat👍 bigger the better 🤪
That first birch made the ole RD6 bark a little.
The joy of being able to work with your Dad. Thank you for sharing
Cherish the time you have left. I;m glad I did.
I have a new respect for suspicious trees in a position for possible building damage after seeing all the chaos from Hurricane Helene. Always good to hear the RD-6 engine music!
Squatch,
I truly enjoyed watching. I could almost smell Fall leaves, fresh dirt and diesel smoke. Bring back memories of working with my father and our D4 7U in the woods. Thank you, Boe 👍
I'm with you Toby! I love the sound of that beast, especially when it gets down to business with a hard pull. It will find the weak link in the chain.
its very heartwarming to watch a man and his son tackling projects together.thanks for the content genelmen.
Loved that intro! Well done!
I. Love. The. Sound. Of. D6 talking!!!!
Good job you two. Less rotten trees and more space to work within. Probably not the best firewood that came out of these 3 trees. But in bad times anything that burns is fuel.

Love the dramatic beginning ❤
Haters gonna hate, you be you! Love hearing the RD6 cackle again. Thank you sir.
Great job! Still taking advantage of the warmer weather.
I really don't understand how anybody can have a negative comment for you guys. Keep up the good work!
Autumn foliage crawl through the woods with the RD-6, nothing better!
Great show. Tractor sounds great. All looked safe enough for me.
Now THAT'S the type of monster I want to chase on Halloween! LOVE that old girl!

I remember years ago when you install that pony motor, your attention made me subscribed back then💯💥👍👍
Love the cackle of a happy Diesel at idle.
It is good to have a backhoe and a giant antique bulldozer for yard work. All I have is a John Deere X350 lawn mower.
Being used to more modern machinery, it amazes me how the RD6 sounds like it barely has enough RPMs to even move.
Toque-Monster is right !!!!
😆😆
Nice job on the intro.
He did!!! 👍 just the right amount of intrigue & mystery 😆 like some classic psychological horror thriller
😱🤪🤭😂😂😄
Hearing that torque monster run is music for the soul.
Good work men. At least you found out you had a bad chain with no other problems.
Very nice work, you two are the “A” team! I have just two words for you “Stone Crusher”! Have good day!
Good to see the RD6 again. Your RD6 videos are what led me to your channel years ago.
That RD-6 is awesome! Always makes my day when she is put to work.
Love that RD-6!
Dang - You guys are getting really good at these videos. Shots of that beautiful land just don't get old - If you can get it to hold still, there's a painting in there somewhere. LOL
Another successful project ,love the plow collection.
Every time I see the RD6 I wanna grunt like Tool Time Tim. It’s just SO manly
Thanks for the video Toby. I love the sound of that machine as well. You can get killed going for groceries just as easily as using the rd6 and a cable to pull over a tree. When your time is up it's up! Cheers

Thanks Toby. I enjoyed it as I always do.
Senior’s commentary is spot on 👍
🤭 Look at that friggin hole!! 😂🤣😀 ✌️🤙
Love the sound of the RD 6 when it's working ...or when it's idling....
Love to see the wide track rd6 work and moving around.
If it keeps breaking its chains you'll probably have to put it into a kennel!
A chain is only as strong as its weakest link, and it not only shows the some of the true power of a cat D6 but it also shows how dangerous it is when a chain breaks.
Gota love that RD6. Can't wait until you find time to start restoration on the narrow gauge. Im working on getting one myself.
Morning coffee and watching (and listening!) to the RD-6 doing its thing. Now it is off to work.
Did you mean coffee and Squatching ? Hahahaha ✌️
I never tire of that sound. If you can find a usable/workable tumble bug I’ll buy it and bring a tractor to pull it.
He has one☝️ sounded like he wants to recruit a few more😆
That is a BIG DOG to get lose from its chain lol!
So enjoying your vids with senior!
RD-6 comes off the leash.
Good to hear from Squatch Sr
Thanks for the video Toby! Nice to hear the RD6 back up and running again! Was that what was in the lean to of the red shed? Can’t wait for the next video!
I wholeheartedly concur with your thoughts at the end of the video! ❤
Music to my ears.
A old black white movie I loved to watch probably from the 1930s with joe e brown featured a RD8 in the earth worm tractor company
... It's gotta eat too.....!!!
If the tree comes down without you being reckless and both of you have all your limbs and digits, that's fine. I worked in the bush for 10 years and saw a lot of nitwits get hurt and 1 of them lost his life.
Given your proclivities, perhaps a heavy towed scraper, or (heck!) motor scraper might be a fun, larger, old-iron project to save & film.
Lovely, I've upgraded my audio since last time!
Pitter Patter. Let get at ‘er!
Good narrative by Sr.
Senior is commenting like a pro!
I bought a tumble bug a couple years ago that i haven't got to use yet.
Did the RD6 have a blade on, i see a hydraulic pump and reservoar, guess it would be a awsome pusher with that engine🙂
@Squatch253 Well I tried, but it appears once folks figured out Track-Man's secret identity, they need to wave around that they solved the secret puzzle. The chain hook was a little on the small size.

I enjoyed the video.

I wonder how many "why are you running the D6 so slow comments will pop up when this goes public, even though you have answered it many a times . .
There is no replacement for displacement.
I notice most of you machines are for farming but wouldn’t a dozer blade on one of them be handy? Love your shows from a retired NS hog
I didn't know that you have ruts under your trees?
rd6 renovation soon then
Great video!
👍👍👍Al Gorithm comment👍👍👍
Good morning
What is the rpm range of the engine, my dad had the JD 830 2 cylinder and was 1125 under load.
What do you use as a fuel additive in your gas and diesel equipment as some machines may sit for 2 years between runs with [I assume] fuel sitting in the tanks and systems?
It’s magic ☝️ 😆🤭
Fun video
the ones that complain about pulling down trees just don't have the toys to do it with, lol why not cut a drainage path before you put the 2025 team to remove that bank ?
Safe felling, naye need for critisism
Is there a spot in the new building for the RD-6?
Stay tuned, that topic will be explained in the next episode 👍
@@squatch253 haha thought that was covered on moving day 🤷♂️🤪
Do any of your track machines have blades
Yes, my D2 “The Iron Mistress” has the Cat 2S straight blade, and Senior’s D2 has the Cat 2A angle blade.
👍💪🇺🇸
Senior is becoming quite the RUclipsr! Watch out! He might try to steal your channel!
Gotta love ya some RD6 doin what she loves to do! The tear-em-out trio brought their A-Game today. Fun to watch. 🥸👍👀👋👋✅✅✅
