- The new, meta defining SAMURAI BUILD topping the survival leaderboards. A member of the top team joins me in explaining the build and playstyle. 80% of the comment section have no clue about what they are talking about. This build is 100% the best to clear 1/2 spawns the fastest. 100% the best for nms leaderboards. You want the best build in general? Go look at the people doing solo nms on yt

This is an epic build, damn. The damage on those bombs is incredible. Ronin 2.0 indeed. It's a shame the Ronin had to be sacrificed but Samurai to the world 💯💯

This build is pretty good, but I love the fully upgraded bottle of liquid courage. I have max cooldown reduction and max injured resolve gain on it with lucky. my Ultimate is always up

Based off what Nightmare said about using his Ult to travel fast is what samurai and assassin need. They need mobility The other 2 classes have range. Samurai should have a built in super sprint or ghost horse and assassin should be able to teleport to ledges and roofs like from Aragami 2.

@Antonio Molina I was probably joking. Can't remember. I don't have a build with a bomb pack so I will never be fast enough for a speed run but I think I do pretty good with my Bow and Sticky Bomb.

You seem to can enable the monitions modification also to the caltrop, since at least 3 weeks. So, I could also use that.

I'm curious as to why the new Healing Gourd that gives resolve isn't more popular. you basically get double ultimates pretty often. Interesting build!
You give up the ghost weapon damage or munitions for more ammo. The black powder bombs are more important than ult
It is super popular. It's the best for solo builds but not for group builds spamming bombs for leaderboards.
It depends on what you want to do. Still awesome for yourself if you aren't coordinating builds with a team or you're dealing with a wave by yourself. Liquid Courage with the Lucky perk and 4-5 total Resolve means you can be doing 3 Ultimates in a row sometimes.
Can you get that legandary bombs just with the ronnin ?
Did they update forbidden medicine to only be bound to ronin? It won’t let me bind it to my samurai
So I’m basically using this on the assassin and conflicted on the sticky. I tried testing the blast radius stat and can’t visually see that the aoe from the bomb packs are bigger? The healing aura from forbidden meds is the exact same. I was wondering which stat is better to keep if you wanted to go cooldown on kill on one of the white primary stats
Think the healing radius is the same, but the damage radius isn’t depicted visually with the increase stat.
Amazing build!! Did you try liquid courage instead of one of the legendaries that were equipped? Just curious to see if it increases the dps even more

Yeah there are better builds.. This build may be good for solo meta.. But for speed and efficiency there are other better meta. So you're right as bottle of liquid courage with lucky is actually amazing.. Along with forbidden med and 120 2nd perk slots unlocked.. So.. Samurai op meta build.? Hm.. I don't think so this is the meta for efficiency but so slow solo runs.. I guess so.
@@thecosmicweb4299 it's the other way. This build is for leaderboards. If you wanna solo Nightmare, Bottle Of Liquid Courage + Samurai charm with Blessed Strikes/Super Armor is better.

🤣 And if all my gameplay must depend on me having my friends and starting a party to properly utilize my build.. Then I'd prefer going with different builds with randoms... For most of the time.. As.. 🤣 For me getting 4 people ir 1 to play it always is time consuming and most people don't join.. 🤣 So time wasted even before the gane starts 🤣. 👍👍

Not sure you'll see this comment from a video over a month old but how does the aim for the Samurai's Ultimate work, exactly? It's hard to get it to go where I want and it's especially frustrating when there are enemies alive but the last strikes end up veering way off into nothingness away from everyone. Is being able to aim it just an illusion? Is it proximity based but maybe only calculated once at the start of the Ult and not each time before a strike?
def the first strike is proximity based. however every other can be influenced by the left analog stick
@@GooshyG Ok cool, thank you. Maybe I need to speed up my aim. If the first strike is proximity then that's definitely been throwing me off. If I want to take down a Tengu for sure then I guess I'll need to get up close and personal 😈
My play style is a lot different for my samurai and been doing good enough for nightmare mode on survival,
1. Legendary Stone Katana (grants heavenly strike) with Stone master perk and water stance
2. Half bow (I don’t use it, doesn’t matter what it is)
3. Samurai Charm with blessed strikes and super armour hitting enemies with no disruption helps a lot
4. Sticky bomb with blast radius and fire master
5. Liquid Courage with both perks
My play style is more in the enemies face with the raging flame the stone master perk I just spam triangle makes the hits faster and spreads the flames, plus I use the heavenly strike a lot plus hachimans fury 5 hit
My techniques I use are raging flame, extra legendary, 1 resolve and hachimans fury.
Only started playing legends mode due to lockdown and just got my samurai to 120, my build might not be as good as this guy but I like it a lot
nice! thats actually similar to what i run too! liquid courage is just too crazy. but everyone has their own playstyle. nice to see all the variations
Only one problem I see is that you have two sources of abilities that take away from your resolve, which is why stone striker is so good on the ronin because he doesn’t have any offensive use of his resolve if nobody is going down. And you say you don’t use your bow, you can trade your katana for a normal purple, and then change your bow to the forbidden medicine bomb packs, that way you actually use them and throwing them in a group will build your ult even more. That change and I promise you’ll be using your ult twice as much with no wasted efficiency

@@Funny-zl8so depending on when you stopped not really, maybe balance patch a year ago, but they haven’t touched it since. I think in that update they added that all legendary katanas also automatically have the mastery version of their respective stance, and also legendary charms can roll class exclusive perks, which was a big plus. But that’s about it. Still fun!
And I thought that hunter with liquid courage would be OP. 😂

Poison got a huge buff with the update.
U can Poison the group 3x via chain vanish. There will be like 2 /3 oni left wich u just kill off with the ultimate and thats it.
There is no other class that can use the ability 3x in a row! I'll post my build if ya want.
I love the assassin. It’s my favorite to use. Just gotta find out what works best for you.

Someone elnighten me since I just came back to Legends recently and am unfamiliar with new leveling mechanics. How do you have black powder on Forbidden Medicine with a Samurai?

50% ghost damage perk was fixed to only work with ghost weapons, not bomb pack. FYI
Black powder bombs ARE considered as ghost weapons. Try using them when getting that cursed item.
I've really made good build, it's like ultimate spamming built with injured resolve and healing gourd bottle of liquid courage fills up resolve too quickly with lucky perk ,bomb with black powder on , 38% ultimate dmg combining my katana and the charm , i literally keep open the wave list, i get the highest kill count in the team ,but some how i can't top the leaderboard , really need to know what i am doing wrong.
It really is teamwork. Ppl dedicate a lot of time to get tot be top.got be clearing a spawn point in like 5 seconds. Think around 16-17 min is around top times. Difference between placements is seconds now. But keep trying and good luck!

Yeah it’s still good af, you could prob use it in hell mode too if you have a really good team.

Please. Any suggestion on a samurai build without forbidden med? Forbidden med is too hard to farm. Been grinding for a week with ronin but no luck.
Make sure you’re using the ronin class, it will only drop for him.

Yes it is. If you’re not going for speed runs, I find the injured resolve build really fun and forgiving.

Bomb pack was nerfed please do a new Build because this won’t do anymore. Samurai and assassin can carry half amount only.

Oh yup! That’s actually what he said (not included in the video) enjos is hard to keep active otherwise. And ammo is hard to sustain
I would just change out the enjo’s for a samurai charm with blessed strikes, other than it it’s still a great build
Any given build depends on your playstyle.
I like to debuff mobs with holy iron while having 20% dmg migitation. Staying power is so important now that you receive even more incidental attacks of porting oni lords.

yesir. def dependent on your playstyle. honestly everything is viable, so if it fits your playstlye, go ahead and use it!
@@GooshyG which is the greatest thing in this game. Almost anything seems valid as soon as you figured out which bonuses stack with each other.
For instance I am atm trying a bouncer fire ronin with yoshitsunes hand to lay down crowds so samurai and assas can pick them easily.
Healing and revival is done by strengthening rhythm charm or however it is called in english. It is a tough choice but I like to try things outside of the easy button paths.
Self-reliance seems a lot more important now since Ronins, especially dedicated Healing Ronins, are less common in random matchmaking. Even **moreso** when playing Blood and Steel where teammembers are more likely to be separated.
Why can’t I pick up black powder bombs?
You picked up max or you don’t have the perk for it

Moon Master Cancel look it up, personally if you don’t wanna use it stick to Water Stance or use Stone Master on a Stone Katana. Stone Master if you combo it right is way better than Water Stance/Water Master.
Honestly i think this build is for a party trying nightmare.. Where time is no issue...
If not there are better faster meta builds on sami for efficiency

There’s was some rebalancing just a couple weeks ago! SP is pretty slow with that so I don’t expect more rebalancing anytime soon
I don't get why no one uses the +25% melee damage. I completely destroy everything.
Before it used to be 10% so it wasn’t worth running.

I still see Samurai on top spots of leaderboards especially now, may have been so pre nerfs to the Ronin class but that clearly is not true now. Tbh Ronin would be the king of Gold Survival even up there with Hunters as Ghost Weapon Builds on Ronin just clear waves in Gold (so much so your teammates may even leave). Platinum and Nightmare Survival though is different story.
Just because something is effective doesn't mean that it's op. I feel like every single GoT build video abuses that word.
Until another build tops the leaderboard, I’m pretty sure it’s safe to say it’s OP. samurai has so much in his kit now to clear waves as fast as possible.

@@marvel626 I think there is always a dominant strategy for specific situations. For solos, hunter is very strong. The new samurai is still pretty new. So not sure if samurai can beat hunter yet, for solos. Again this is completely different for group leaderboards

Yeah there’s is a leaderboard for each activity: nightmare story, survival and raid. You get a higher score the faster you do complete it. Some people love it. But it’s not something you have to do.

You’re making it sound like leaderboards are a bad thing. A lot of people want to rank themselves somehow, and that what the leaderboards are for. Some people don’t pay attention to it, but it’s not like it’s useless.
Also, lots of people like to go through games fast just for the thrill and fun. Doesn’t mean everyone else does.

Haha it’s hard tho. More points come from a faster time. Faster time requires faster and efficient builds. Can’t deny the efficiency of this build.

1.. Because you have a smoke bomb.. And that makes the playstyle more defensive and calculated ( which kills time)
2... This build only works properly when you are playing with a friend or more in a party... ( most players match randomly and the potential of this build is wasted)
Sure it's a great build.. But the new sami meta for survival.? Nahh there are better and more balanced when you play with friends vs randoms..
But hey.. I'm just an average player.. So this build looks weak to me..
Maybe pro players out there would agree more with you on this as i can't solo a nightmare by myself.. I've tried.. Just not that good 😂

Definitely not a fan of speed running, the combat has so much more to offer than blasting bombs and doing your ultimate 👎

Well when you wanna be on top of leaderboards you prioritize speed more but yeah for casual play in Legends do what you want. Even I from time to time take off my gear (go to default starter gear) and go back to Bronze. Just so I don’t have to worry about people fighting over kills. Though nowadays it’s harder to do since some players at 120 Ki like to boot up into Bronze.
@@CentauriTT I only go bronze as a 120 to practice perfect dodge, it’s not quite the same in platinum. In regards to speed running I’d much rather carry three noobs in platinum, much more satisfying than going out of your way to find out spawn area order and spawn trapping with three other 120s imo.
Nah. Far from being the strongest build buddy. A build around Heavenly Rebuke with the Ronin with Hidden Blades + Super Massive kills any other build right now! This is a good Team Build for sure - but not the strongest.
If going solo, it will take longer to kill a wave than what I'm suggesting with the Ronin 2.0!

This build is best for survival, as far as we know it. for other activities this might changes things.
