I just wanted to thank you for this video. I watched this tutorial and then followed up by trying to knit it. This pattern is not only easy to do; but it was a lot of fun. The end result is beautiful. I only did a swatch of the pattern but I can only image just how beautiful a scarf would be in the Sand Stitch. Thanks again. P.s I subscribed too!
Thank you 😘 I enjoy all your video tutorials 🙋♀️. I’m definitely making this pattern. I’d love to see a combination of all the like stitches in a sampler scarf or cowl 🎊
Thank you for this video but I am having issues with it. When I do the rows as explained after a few rows I start getting like rows and rows of purling instead of the stitch. And the stitch pattern is on the ws.
I am halfway through my pregnancy and I wanted your opinion. I wanted to make a textured baby blanket Which stitch do you think would be nicer , the dot, the sand or the double Andalusian? Please and thank you ❤️
Oh dear, sorry to hear that. I've knitted 3 swatches using different yarn qualities and needle sizes and it never happened. Have you tried blocking the scarf?
@@sowoolly that's exactly what I did, I blocked it and that helped, at least enough for it to be wearable. but do you think my problem might have been inconsistent tension or maybe that I purl differently than you do?
There are many things involved: One is your tension, but the yarn and the gauge are important too. The best thing to do before starting a new project is to swatch. Then you can see if it’s going to curl. If so, knit a nice edge on each side and problem solved 😉

Very easy and nice thank you from Egypt 🇪🇬💕
Very nice. Thank you also for the row one knit thru the back loop on last stitch tip. Appreciate that.
But can you only do that on the first row??
If you need to do it on every row, no problem. Take a look: ruclips.net/video/JLsYPDOu0kA/видео.htmlsi=HQ5a9stKKLGTYL2k
That's a very nice looking stitch pattern. You can do quite a bit with it!

I made a scarf with this pattern on 10cm needles and it curled like stockinette does.

@@sowoolly thank you. next time I'll definitely swatch first. and maybe this stitch works better on smaller gauges anyway 😊
I really like this, but I am unable to download this pattern, getting an error message 404 Page Not Found.
Thank you, error solved: sowoolly.net/how-to-knit-the-sand-stitch-pattern-super-easy-and-it-doesnt-curl/
@@sowoolly thank you very much!
Not sure why this curls on me 😔
🥲 awww why are your hands trembling? 😢 I hope you’re in good health 😊
I don’t remember, it was 3 years ago, but I think I was feeling good 👍🏼 Thank you for asking. Happy knitting 😊
