Flawless action . The machine never stops moving ... I'll never get that good . I fly Fire Rescue Helicopters and it's a 2 hands and feet moving all the time , but somehow that seems easier than running my Bobcat 610. Of course I have only a couple hours running this old 1972 M610. But It is a lot of fun . Seems like it wants to wheelie all the time . I've almost flipped it backwards a couple of times. It gave me a total new respect on how good you run your machines . Thanks for the education .
That machine looks like it's butter smooth to operate, quiet and just well designed. Versatile piece of equipment to have early on in a business history.
Surgical. That’s all I can say. I’ve watched a ton of your videos. And you are absolutely surgical with a skid and an excavator. Wish tradesmen like you you got half of the unrealized value that you give back to a customer.
I've ran into this problem with a lot that sees hundreds of cars a day. I brought in crushed black rock and just filled the puddles the water stays in the puddle but the cars can't splashthe rock out and eventually it gets really solid.
Most commenters are missing the fact that most businesses run on very tight margins. The customer's immediate need was no more puddles, not regrading or concrete pads which obviously aren't in the budget. Most businesses like this can make more money dumping 50k into inventory or employees instead of a new pad. Good work.
Company: Uhhh, Tim?, we have some pot holes for you to fill, we have a few loads brought in for you....... Tim: Which one of the thousand pot holes do you want filled with the material to cover up 4 of them??? Company: What? there's enough stone to do the entire yard......
Yes there should be a concrete pad where the fork tuck off loads because if it has solid tyres it will tear the gravel back up or did it get stuck in it Monday morning?
Did you ever think to build a custom compactor attachment for the skid steer? A bin that hangs from chains with a hydraulic motor and weight attached, so you don't shake the machine apart. Maybe a hammer breaker with a compaction plate for the tip?
As you got to the big pot hole and you were trying to scrape out a little water outlet i thought hell hes going to have to bail out the water with the bucket 😂 also i like it when you have the camara outside of the heavy machinery we can see more of whats going on that way there was a couple times i was starring at a bolt from the inside of the cab 😆
The Takeuchi reminds me of WALL-E and cant help but imagine myself making the chirping beeping noises if I were operating it, zipping around and working.
All you needed was a Harley Rake and a bucket. Filling stone in pot holes does not fix anything, those holes will continue to grow. You have to take out the pothole edges, smooth and level, then lay stone on top.
hi would of pushed water out of all puddles with gravel then put teeth bucket back on loosen it all up where puddles are then level, pack, add gravel only in puddles , leave it high pack again then lightly level ! and i dont back blade on finale cut last long time! hope this helps everyone
The customers gets what they're willing to pay for - nothing more, nothing less. It is actually quite simple. And he only got one day to do the job. The whole area should be cleared and then break up the hard surface, grated and resurfaced with new stone and finally compacted.
OMG! LOL! I just saw you getting in the skid steer and the song she thinks my tractor is sexy popped in my head but I was hearing skid steer instead of tractor. LOL! I'm so sorry but I had to share that I'm laughing so hard I have missed everything now I've got to back it up
Was the grader not an option here? I'd think with the stone being so coarse it wont mix well with the hard base already down and will eventually just get flung around exposing the holes again? Idk maybe I'm wrong after all I'm just a stupid truck driver.
not everyone ! Ive-done a lot over the years and way bigger holes for huge forklift 8 quads of 3 inch in one hole force out water push gravel out and loosen then put it back together and it lasts high traffic ship yard -hope this helps
The very reason I back mine onto the trailer and pull it off. I flipped a O turn mower over backwards once pulling it onto a trailer that was to high for it . It was a good thing a good friend of mine was there to help roll it off me. After that I lost the nerve to pull it on and back it off.
in our bus yard we had pot holes a company came in with a small loader towing a blast mat dragging it behind it leveled out the holes then filled with stone
You did the best you could given what you had. They have to bite the bullet and concrete it, at least near the loading dock area and where their equipment turns alot.
The addition of the tri-pod was great! If you were wanting to add more "working content" you could even use more of the tri-pod footage while sped up a bit. Great video!
I don’t have anything negative to say. Thanks for taking the extra time to video this on a Sunday, Chris. How long does one of those bucket edges last ?
Hey Chris. You should check into that tripod mounted tracking device that allows your camera to turn and follow you as you work. Soloshot is its name. Your videos are killer!
Looks a tidy job bro but can not help thinking there is still nowhere for the water to go other than under the fill you put down. Made for a good video though.
Those TAKEUCHI Skid Steers are the best. The Cab has to be the largest in the industry and the Power is Excellent. I love to DEMO against Bobcat, Deere or Cat. Always a positive experience. You will be very happy with your decision!
At first it was disappointing not back at pond but as usual it is a treat to see how you handle situations with what you have. Do you think they will come to realize more should have you back to do it your way?
And first thing Monday. ..the fork lift is stuck in the wet gravel. ..tooooo much water...they will probably blame you. ..try to Have a great day. .. :)
Chris wouldn’t the tractor with the box blade help the skid steer with bailing out pot holes and grading the tight areas. Although when I think about it that’s using two machines which I’m sure was not in the quote, just wondering. Love all the videos you do great work.
This is so relaxing for me. I could watch these videos all day of roads being fixed with gravel. I just love gravel.
Best Skid-steer operator I have ever seen! Well done.......
I don't work in construction but using the stone to push the water out of the pothole was genius. Love your videos!!

Your one great machine operator. Big fan.

Sure glad you got rid of the back up roster beeping thing!
This looks like it'll be an ongoing project. Thanks for the video!
Neatly done.
Thank you for the work that goes into making these videos.
As always, great job. That new machine is a lot smoother and quieter than the previous one!
Looking very nice, sundaymorning project Chris 👌👍
AND talk them into pouring 8 inches of concrete next to that fresh cut board apron SO that it doesnt happen again.
Well done Chris. 👍👍🇵🇪🐕❤️
Definitely one of those jobs where do you stop lol! Forklifts are just hard on parking lots. Great job!
Thanks for sharing video with us. Keep up the great work.
Awesome work as always - love the skid steer too
Looks good for what you had to work with
Is it just me or is that one quiet machine !
It's alot quieter than the last one
Nah the old Takeuchi was just loud af
He just has it on quarter throttle. Rpm"s r low
Just seeing all those holes definitely doesn’t look like enough material awesome job though as usual
You performed a miracle with the hand you were given.
Glad to see I am not the only one to level areas with a skid bucket like that.
Great Video. Thank you Letsdig18
Two little loads of rock to fix a whole bog? You're a miracle worker.
I've ran into this problem with a lot that sees hundreds of cars a day. I brought in crushed black rock and just filled the puddles the water stays in the puddle but the cars can't splashthe rock out and eventually it gets really solid.

Actually Scott, Tim wasn't there that day,..that was Chris.
Just a thought we have used a leaf blower to push the water out. If Tim was with you he probably wouldn't have loved blowing the water out.
Good idea!
That skidsteer almost sounds electric it's so quiet
It's 95hp too!!! I agree!
Tier 4 machines...

Wow! Almost 200K subscribers! Big milestone coming soon.
Like I said, “He could ice a cake!”
Nice job as thanks for sharing
Very entertaining, I enjoy watching properly because I not doing anything. Keep them coming!

I wonder if a vibratory roller would have helped with the compaction of that new loose gravel ,.....just a thought.
Might have un-stacked a few sticks of timber in the yard and in the shed.
@@TheAmpair Now that, would have been a helluva of a lot of vibration, don't you think?
@@regsparkes6507 Sure would. Murphy would have ensured that, it's just one of his skills ;-)
Some of those potholes are as big as a small pond not really but geez
Should have a concert slab back where the forklifts run
Then what would Chris do on Sunday. Those potholes are his job security!
Greatest definition of not my job 😂😂😂😂 11:58
Well it turned out better than before
The Takeuchi reminds me of WALL-E and cant help but imagine myself making the chirping beeping noises if I were operating it, zipping around and working.

That takeuchi is great, the best on the market👍👍
It's pointless to just fill in the pot holes. Gotta break up the hard pan and the edges, then fill and compact.
A Correira it’s not entirely pointless, it will last for a little while and He knows that. Customer just wanted it done this way.
hi would of pushed water out of all puddles with gravel then put teeth bucket back on loosen it all up where puddles are then level, pack, add gravel only in puddles , leave it high pack again then lightly level ! and i dont back blade on finale cut last long time! hope this helps everyone

Great job man! I sure wish we had stone like that here
OMG! LOL! I just saw you getting in the skid steer and the song she thinks my tractor is sexy popped in my head but I was hearing skid steer instead of tractor. LOL! I'm so sorry but I had to share that I'm laughing so hard I have missed everything now I've got to back it up

Angry Trucker you’re not wrong, but that’s a far more involved project
Love the shirt Chris! Keep this videos coming, love your channel.
Great job, everyone is an expert with your job, and not even there.
yeah, you are right about that, but if you look closely, you will see that he really should have ....... aawww never mind ;)
Some of us are in the same line of work...
not everyone ! Ive-done a lot over the years and way bigger holes for huge forklift 8 quads of 3 inch in one hole force out water push gravel out and loosen then put it back together and it lasts high traffic ship yard -hope this helps
Machine tilts 5 inches up off ramp going backward. Literally feels like you are going to cartwheel all the way down lol
The very reason I back mine onto the trailer and pull it off. I flipped a O turn mower over backwards once pulling it onto a trailer that was to high for it . It was a good thing a good friend of mine was there to help roll it off me. After that I lost the nerve to pull it on and back it off.
Why did you decide not to use the 4 in 1 bucket and why do you think the Tak is the best? I’m considering buying the same exact setup.
whats the purpose of removing the water from the holes? wont the water remove itself once you fill it with gravel?
Hey Mr. Letsdig why do u need 2 buckets for the skid loader?
Is this the proper fill material for this job?
Good job by far👍
What’s the name of the material that was used to fill the potholes?
in our bus yard we had pot holes a company came in with a small loader towing a blast mat dragging it behind it leveled out the holes then filled with stone
Lol that forklift packed the load out like concrete .
Dwayne
You did the best you could given what you had.
They have to bite the bullet and concrete it, at least near the loading dock area and where their equipment turns alot.
Wow that skid steer doesn't make any noise. You could work all day in that thing and not feel like you were at a rock concert.
Done a very good job man .
The addition of the tri-pod was great! If you were wanting to add more "working content" you could even use more of the tri-pod footage while sped up a bit. Great video!
Looks like a ripper attachment could come in handy.
Whats the appeal of the takeuchi Skid? Do you have a video where you talk about it or?
what i always have told people, "when you think you got too much, you still dont have enough" lol
Those boys were wanting the champagne job with the lemonade pockets 2 loads of stone!!!🙈🙈🙈
Pretty bad when your potholes have white caps.... Geez
Customer is always right. Send it!
Great operator
The boss at that place is ruining his forklift drivers' backs.
There's no suspension on that one that's in the yard.
LOL that's like putting a tablespoon of sugar in your coffee.
Great Job Chris
I bet they will find out. Fork lifts. Wont enjoy the stone eiether
Surprising that they have that size & type of operation but yet don’t have their own skid steer with a bucket.
how much gravel did you use?
Boy a nice cash/side weekend account ! One day to divert all the roof rain leaders......
Its always sunny and at least 70 degrees in north carolina.
That looked more like building a jetty than filling a pothole!
great job! sunday is a cash day, YES? lol
Cash?.... ``We dont work with cash`` Mr Tax man, SIR! 😂
Just curious what size of gravel you used? At first I was thinking 3/4"minus but then seen some bigger rock. 1 1/2"minus? Great job for what you had!
I wonder how many skid steers with wheels get sold now? Nice job.
About 50/50 anywhere I have been. I have one of each and both have disadvantages .
I don’t have anything negative to say. Thanks for taking the extra time to video this on a Sunday, Chris.
How long does one of those bucket edges last ?
Stephen Keefer gee what a bummer you don’t have anything negative to say. You must be a real ray of sunshine
@@robdewey317 ...

or DJI Osmo.
Those things do awesome shots
Those is like real small ponds
Looks a tidy job bro but can not help thinking there is still nowhere for the water to go other than under the fill you put down. Made for a good video though.
making the best of whats there
Yes that was all you could do really and fully understand that
Great video and job...
If I was a professional, I would have back drug all the the puddles first then fill in as needed. But I only do this kind of work on Wednesday.
Those TAKEUCHI Skid Steers are the best.
The Cab has to be the largest in the industry and the Power is Excellent. I love to DEMO against Bobcat, Deere or Cat. Always a positive experience. You will be very happy with your decision!
1998 bobcat 10005 hrs still out works the new ones !!!
Good job for usina a Harley Rake...
At first it was disappointing not back at pond but as usual it is a treat to see how you handle situations with what you have. Do you think they will come to realize more should have you back to do it your way?
ive already been told to put me on the schedule lol
BECAUSE, you will be out there very soon doing the same thing.
You do what the customer wants and pays for...
They need a concrete pad for the forklifts
8 inches thick for the length and width of that forklift loading area.
Nice job as always
how much did you charge to do this job?
Thank you.
Yeah pot holes wont fill. They need cut out for a long term solution. Filling them probably are good for operator profit.
And first thing Monday. ..the fork lift is stuck in the wet gravel. ..tooooo much water...they will probably blame you. ..try to Have a great day. .. :)
stuck in mud or stuck in gravel lol
I was going to say the same... loose gravel and mud are the same for a forklift
have to slow down an push water out not dump in hole
Chris wouldn’t the tractor with the box blade help the skid steer with bailing out pot holes and grading the tight areas. Although when I think about it that’s using two machines which I’m sure was not in the quote, just wondering. Love all the videos you do great work.
quicker to just use the bigger skid steer
