Chris, you ever install any dry hydrants in the ponds you work on? For folks who don't know, a dry hydrant is basically 6" PVC buried and routed to an area where a fire engine can back in and easily hook to it. They are real nice in places that have limited or no city water service hydrants.
Chris, that soap you're using on the pile gasket. If you got some crazy dirty cloths, that stuff is better that Landry detergent. I worked pile line for many years, used pant legs to wipes off soapy hands all day, however next wash day super clean!
Chris, once again another entertaining video,I like Tim’s twirling routine. Another excellent job finished, no mud which is good. I just love your channel. I wish you all the best for 2019 mate. Cheers from Australia. 👍
If you wanted you drink shaken not stirred that trip back and forward to the cement truck would certainly taken care of it. A suggestion get a swivel for between the double sling and the bucket hook to make it easier to turn and hold the concrete structure in position when setting up as you are always to one side when putting these in, as the saying goes work smarter not harder.
Great video. Fun to watch. I knew when you loaded that riser the water was making it too heavy!!! Lmao. Just kiddin. Thanks for sharing. God bless and peace from Virginia. 🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜
Nice to watch a job being done and finished up. Interesting to watch too,...maybe this is why I subscribed to 'letsdig 18' in the first place! Keep them coming Chris. By the way,..do you plan to buy 'our' Tim a baton? LOL!
Wonder if the water in the bottom of the man hole made it seem heavier than normal. Water is around 8lbs a gallon and could easily be close to 100 gallons in it. Noticed the water when you were loading it.
Good Morning Chris , just a thought why couldn't you leave the mixer on the road and hook the concrete over in the bucket closer to the overflow!!, I know somebody would have watch the traffic etc . But it might have been quicker. Anyway Take Care and thank you for the video. :)
1) wow you guys work smart--I see you had the concrete truck back up past the overhead wire , so you didn't have to do any gymnastics with the bucket when it was full . 2) would anybody here like to discuss the difference between concrete and cement ? I'm told there is a difference, cannot ever remember what it is ! 3) that pond would be AWESOME for sailing remote control sailboats in summertime. 4) I always wonder what your Uncle thinks of all this "youtube stuff " , if he has ever commented on it at all.........
OK--so you could use cement as a mortar for stone work , or turn it into concrete with aggregate as a stand alone product. I think I get it--now can I remember it ?.......thanks man.
Hey I have a question, with all the water out you can see the silt build ups. They just didnt want it cleaned out yet or not needed it? From the pics looks like you will be dredging there pretty soon too!. Great thansk for sharing ?
When you dig your ditch for the drain pipe do u have any type of slope for the ditch walls? We have to dig at 1/1 or 1/1.5 or basically a 45° angle on anything over 5' deep. Not trying to be one of those people on internet just a concern I have for you guys to stay safe Love the vids tho keep it up
Chris, does that black drain tube ever collect trash and plug up.? Do you ever put in more than one tube? Thanks we are building a pond in Kansas that collects from 160+ acres. Worried about washing out the dam. I will probably put in a 24" tube or 2 12". We will have emergency spillway with riprap also. Thanks for any info.
When you tried to pick that up with the 310 it was full of water water is very heavy did you get all the water out before you took it off the trailer? I guess I should of watched the whole video before I said something
Do they not use front discharge mixers down there? Only ever seen rear discharge in all your videos. Front would drive right out there if the driver knew how to drive.
You must have some pretty well off residents in your neck of the woods. Not many of my neighbors with ponds could afford that. I had one a few miles from me whose dam was very close to a state highway, Had spillway problems for years and the state told him he would have to fix it. Said he couldn't afford it and told the state to "just cut a hole" in the dam. They did it and drained a 15 acre lake that was probably built in the 50's. Ruined one of the best fishing holes around. A group of wealthy old men leased the property and had the dam fixed. Now it is private and I still can't fish in it! Why would anyone place all that rock around an otherwise beautiful pond site? Erosion problems or asthetics?
Pure ignorance on my part, but why did you put concrete in the riser. I get grouting the pipe in, i was just curious about the concrete in the bottom, Good Job!
I hope to see future video of all the ponds you have fixed, showing the overflow in action... Thanks as always for sharing...
Another one in the books, job well done. More satisfied customers. Thanks for the video.
Even had Tim doing a bit of stick twirling so all is good with the world. Great video.

Be good to see it in operation Chris. Thank you.
Great teamwork, very enjoyable to watch!!!!
I really enjoy your videos, you are very good at what you do, and you do professional work, that is hard to find these days!
Chris, once again another entertaining video,I like Tim’s twirling routine. Another excellent job finished, no mud which is good. I just love your channel. I wish you all the best for 2019 mate. Cheers from Australia. 👍
Great video Chris and it looks great 🇺🇲

Nice. Uncle about got it. Lol. A fan from Montana
Good video and another job well done, but I had to laugh at your uncle getting hit with a bit of concrete
Thanks Chris your an Awsome guy 👍
Nice job !
Looks like Tim is practicing for his after work job as a drum major for the letsdig 18 band.
Very good video on pond overflow system .
Thank you.
*TIMMAY LEADING THE PARADE!!!!!!*
My wife told me a few days ago that she saw your equipment over there at that pond. Thats just up the road from my house.
Wonder if the water in the bottom of the man hole made it seem heavier than normal. Water is around 8lbs a gallon and could easily be close to 100 gallons in it. Noticed the water when you were loading it.
How much water is in that base that's so relatively heavy? (oh wait. got to 11:00 and you dumped it!)
Baton Timmy needs to be on end of year “Best of 2019” Haha
T-I-M-M-Y Go Timmy!
I thought there was a collar that went on top of that overflow. I thought I remembered you showing it in the previous video.
We didn't need it
The Pond Master!
Looks good
Lol why am I laughing so hard at him shaking while tracking
Go Timmy Go!!
Nice !! Always like the follow up videos once it’s full again. Just sayin :)
That is something that would be interesting to watch, even if it is a 5 minute stand alone follow -up video...
How much would one charge for a job like this start to finish?
Good Morning Chris , just a thought why couldn't you leave the mixer on the road and hook the concrete over in the bucket closer to the overflow!!, I know somebody would have watch the traffic etc . But it might have been quicker. Anyway Take Care and thank you for the video. :)

Cement as in portland cement is an ingredient in concrete. It is mixed with aggregate (small rocks) and other things to produce concrete.
OK--so you could use cement as a mortar for stone work , or turn it into concrete with aggregate as a stand alone product. I think I get it--now can I remember it ?.......thanks man.
SailorAllan mortar is for stone/brick work its cement with sand and lime
@SailorAllan...Concrete has 4 main 'mix items'.....Water, sand (fine aggregate), gravel (or large aggregate) and cement.
Hhhaaahahahahaha
Time lapse off. 1 minute in pipe on ground. 6:30 is taking pipe off trailer?
Hey I have a question, with all the water out you can see the silt build ups. They just didnt want it cleaned out yet or not needed it? From the pics looks like you will be dredging there pretty soon too!. Great thansk for sharing ?
Tell the laborer to use a paint brush to put the grease on the pipe.
yeah he told me I needed to get one LOL
How dry I am, how wet I'll be.
Thanks for the video!
Chris that's what you need a compactor for your excavator.
VERY KOOL VIDEO HERE 2'DAY.....
( KNUCKLE👊🏽BUMP ) Letsdig18.....
Lol lol u go Timmy. I liked how u clapped ur hands. Lol kol
You gotta invest in a small morooka dump truck with a 180° bed
You know water weighs 8 pounds per gallon, so you had a lot of extra weight.
They must made that one with 4000lb mix concrete instead of 3000lb....good to see ole unc on the scene to keep you and Timmy straight...lol
Nice!!!

they stepped it

Chris, Volvo’s highway Mode kinda sucks.
Are these ponds stricley for iragation or do they ever have fish in them?
Wouldn't you shoot the water then add the 60" for the structure?
Forestville Rd!!!
When you tried to pick that up with the 310 it was full of water water is very heavy did you get all the water out before you took it off the trailer?
I guess I should of watched the whole video before I said something
Is there no need to use shoring when standing in the deepest part of the trench?? thanks, Rob
He had the banks cut back enough, so no boxes needed as far as I could tell.
Does Timmy or any of you guys bring waders to the jobsite? It seems like they could be helpful in the mucky situations you get into
So, Tim was a drum major in school.
Any fish in that very shallow pond?
Not any more.
Concrete operator works really 'fast'.:-)
"I got a bucket, gotta bucket full of sunshine"
Odd they didn't want rock to protect the outlet.
Tim the cheerleader lol
Nice baton twirling :)
Bandleader not cheerleader, did you see him doing any dance moves or flips...lol now that would be a sight.
Drum Major
Do they not use front discharge mixers down there? Only ever seen rear discharge in all your videos. Front would drive right out there if the driver knew how to drive.
Why such a bounce when walking the machine from place to place ?
Imagine the large mouth bass that would smash that wacky worm at 16:46
Forestville Rd ??

I dont know why they wanted all the rock, maybe so they didnt have to mow or weed wack the slope?
Fire pond???
I thought they got money from the state to do these upgrades?
No, looks like a private pond, My bet is that Chris is correct. They put in the rock and sprayed it with weedkiller.
That was sarcasm right Tim??? (about having alot of room to work in)
👍👍🇵🇪🐕, good job guys.
First view and first comment keep up the great videos Chris
Chris, How long have you had this machine?
upgrading the 160 next?
O looks like you took nothing out of it wish could have seem it.i really like the pond stuff
Pure ignorance on my part, but why did you put concrete in the riser. I get grouting the pipe in, i was just curious about the concrete in the bottom, Good Job!
YOUR TRACK MACHINE WEIGH MORE THEN THAT TRUCK
It's probably heavier because there's a lot of rebar in it maybe I'm just guessing
Who is the guy that always helps Tim install pipe? Uncle?
😁 go Timmy go.lol
That's annoying the cement truck driver wouldn't back down to work site.
Think that tok them at least one exrta hour with all that tracking
He said he made it to that point before he got stuck
Mike Man the concrete truck drivers job is to protect that truck first while trying to deliver the load.
How long will that new pipe last?
If it's plastic, thousands of years.
@@ferky123 are you sure about how long it will last ? That might mean that Christ comes back first !!
Nice cat hat
Maybe President Trump can use that concrete mix to build the wall..its nice and heavy lol
MAGA ! BUILD THE WALL !!
Build the wall ! Make America great again :-)
