I did suggest on a earlier video that you should get a swivel hook for doing these risers instead of struggling, as the saying goes " work smarter not harder " thing of you crew Chris.
Do you always have a base unit there or was that ordered for that job? I wonder how many people notice that Tim brought the rock in a Kubota? Was that the landowners? John and Tim seem to get along well.
Would love to see you with a rototilt bud!.. Worked with those since ive got started in 2003, never regret it!... And with a operator as good as yourself.... would do hella good!
Great job this constant 1 thumbs down first 20 mins i see must be again a jealous overpriced contractor who failed to outbid you on this assignment. Keep up the great videos letsdig18
Enjoyed this video bro. I guess with the pond dam next to a swamp the dam dirt would never really dry out it would be like a wick and draw the moisture to it.
It may have just been my point of view but isn't that overflow stack that you just put in close to the shore line ? From the view I had from the camera it looked like the overflow was almost even with the high waterline of that pond? I was just wondering because you mentioned how the dam seemed to be saturated to the point that you had to move to another spot to put in the new overflow point. Just wondering what's going to happen with water lapping against that overflow tube and the already kind of saturated dam down the road?
after all that fine dressing those two guys are going to have to walk back to the truck tracking up all your pretty work. :) What about the six inch overflow? just leave it in place? or did you yank it up? Cheers from Louisiana.
The greyish/blue clay looks little Blue Marle. I deal with that stuff on the daily. Can turn very acidic if you don't keep it moist or exposed to oxygen for to long.
Assuming favorable terrain, easy access and available clay, how much should I budget (range) for a 1 acre pond about 15’ deep in an open pasture? How many days? When I get quotes, what are the important questions to ask the contractors?
It might just be me but it sounds like you have a cooling fan cutting on and off more than usual. I just don't normally hear that when you operate the 160. It might just be me though and my diesel mechanic ears. Lol they normally hear the uncommon sounds that most wouldn't pay any mind to. Lol and I'm guessing that the kabota skid steer is the property owners that y'all are just using.
The other day i noticed a dozer, about the same size as the one you use, clearing off top soil for a road and parking lot. Mounted in the center and top of the blade, about three feet tall, was the hand held laser pole. Is that something that would work for you from time to time?
Hey Chris, I’m not trying to tell y’all how to run the show or be that one RUclips safety guy. I just wanted to make a quick comment about your uncle walking by at 6:43, I know you are well trained and he has been doing this a while. That being said, accidents happened everyday and lives get changed forever all in the blink of a eye, because of a split second decision. If you would have swung right for any reason he could have been seriously injured, all it takes is a “hey stop for a second so I can walk by”. Great video though and keep up the good work!
I'm just wondering if you have any video of you looking into the camera talking cause we always see the side but I don't have time to go through so many years of video trying to see you
Do you need permits for all the work you do for the people? Here in Illinois before you put anything in the ground, you better have a permit and then get it inspected before you can backfill anything.
Yeah he is the owner of the family company. I don't hear much about Chris's Dad though or Mom who might be John's brother or sister so I wonder if things are well with them. I know Chris got his start with his grandpa and him was close I'm pretty sure.
It would also be an honor to work with you guys, ive got some hours in a Loader and even more hours in a Skid steer, will i work at my seasonal job working with Sugar Beets.
Of all the videos I've ever watched on this channel, and of all the comments I've read this video had the most armchair workers I've ever seen. I mean watch the videos and if you can do it better start a channel for us all to enjoy!
That surveyor! walks straight under the boom arm whilst you are working - then, yet again decides to stop proceedings for now obvious reason - twice, the second occasion was some nebulas questioning to the skid steer driver. I may be wrong but he is out of his depth - clearly doesn't even look like he knows what he is doing
Another day and another professionally completed job....well done!
Looks like a huge pond, nice overflow install Chris nice job again guys....👌👍
Another fine job done by the crew at letsdig18 😀👍👍
those two 5 gallon buckets in the excavator gives the best example of the size of the excavator yet!
Those aren't 5 gallon buckets, they look like about 6 quarts.
@@warnerrobins8542, Don't even start with that Metric crap ! lol.

Been patiently waiting for a video upload 🍿🍿
Chris, I love you work. Only thing is you need to get a lapel mic for when you are operating equipment so we can hear all your cute comments.
At about 12:36 it looked as if there was a large gray skull on the spoils pile. You've made a huge archaeological find there BigDeal!
Ole Kenny Powers just came outta nowhere when you started your trench scared the crap outta me my dog even barked
Always love your intros, outros and thumbnails :)
Do you always have a base unit there or was that ordered for that job? I wonder how many people notice that Tim brought the rock in a Kubota? Was that the landowners? John and Tim seem to get along well.
Yea was wondering where that kubota came from as well?
He said in the video that it was the home owners

Looks like gray marl in there. Great for horseshoe pits. Some areas even use it as fertilizer.
So if the dam is saturated what do you do? This doesnt seem safe. Seems like some digging and new dirt is needed...
Let the work begin

Looks like home in Michigan where we do drain the pond into the swamp

Wow once I read your comment I really noticed
He said in the video it was the owner’s
What was Tim doing in that Kubota CTL? Did you buy another machine?
Owners machine
Said in the video its the home owners
Look at that beautiful orange machine lol
Nice!!! ( luv a good overflow vid!!)
What would you use to seal a leaking overflow? The rubber is gone between two of the sections and water just pours through.
Keep em rollin!

Where do you get the precast overflow?
You need to do something about the feed back noise on this machine
not much freeboard in that pond, amazed it didnt fail with the small pipe, it got a spilway or something?
Whats holding the box from floating up?
Umm....could be the concrete it's made of.
@@marcuswyatt5642 ever heard of a ship?
I was surprised to see a Kubota skid steer appear in the video.
i see mr dig finally stoned his driveway...

Broke Boyz Customz probably a reversing fan to blow the dust out of the motor. Comes on every so often to keep you radiator and coolers clean.

Never mind I just found 1 with Jasonworksalot now I'm gonna see your pretty face
Video quality looks funny
Have to wait 20-30 min for it to be 720 or 1080.
Does such a cut in the dam weaken it? It doesn't look like it was constructed of the best material.
Great job enjoyed that!!!
Kubota Power!💪
Do you think the dam wasn't compacted enough? Assuming you didn't build it originally :)...
Ok weird but does the over fill have a vent on it to keep small animals out of it anybody who knows please inform me about it

Is that other guy your uncle? Thanks for the video!
Yes

Why was Tim on a Kabota skid steer?
When he said pond I though he meant a little pond not a huge pond.

Be there done that I walked a D8n 6 miles one day I think I shit out a kidney the next day lol
"Shit out a kidney" Good stuff !
Chris did you ever watch swamp loggers? You know Bobby Goodson? Hey has a RUclips channel now Goodson All Terrain Logging.
sub squad on point
I think duck feathers are saturated this year from all the rain...
Like the video and Tim is on a Kubota.
Double swivel Clevis.
That's some really nasty dirt in that damn
Nice use of radios???? Lol
I was thinking the same exact thing! Lol
Since your probably at home chris, go put a paint brush in your work truck. 🐱🐉😜... Lol if you haven't already, you know why...

Where's the radios? Did Timmy forget his again?
Didn’t you already post this video in the past few weeks ?
you talked about that guy Jason the russikie like he was not at your level
Where's the radios? Need to use ear bud mic's withe radios on VOX.

That I believe is John the owner of the company.
How is the older Gentlemen that's been in some of you latest videos?
I say older he is probably younger than me. Lol
I think that's his uncle
That's his uncle who owns the company
Come on 1080 !!
Agreed!!! lol. Wish RUclips wasn't so slow at processing videos. . . .
Next time you need a place to dump dirt take it there
gotta say. love your videos. but not this camera angle
Looks like you raised the overflow top a couple of feet higher than the sand bar. That will give them a couple of years before they need you again.
Sup?
he talks to me all the time.... #bromance
And this one time at Dirt Perfect's ...I got to run a D4 dozer. Lol. Sorry Brandon this 💩 writes itself.
Brian Webber 🤣
letsdig18 LoL!
Mrs. Elite Earthworks sup 😎
I AM LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO DO SAME WORK LET ME KNOW IN EAST TEXAS
Is the word "quick" in the title suppose to be ironic?
